i feel like this is a game that having a multiplayer or coop option is great for...early game tho, late game each person is going to have their own ideas for resource management and playstyle once its all self sufficient it would be better to have 1 person leave to go for a new colony on your map.
Roles is a really great way to tackle these kinds of problems. namely I become the Architect and build most of the Houses, Workshops, and other buildings whereas BlackWolf one of my other lads will do the interior design/furnishing as well as being the farm manager building/requesting buildings for his role. then there is WhiteWolf whom is in charge of anything Security or military related as well as hunting and other basic material collection. Then you have GreyWolf which in our next playthrough together will become our craftsmaster since its going to be a medieval playthrough. then we all come together to make the major decisions and vote and weigh our options.
The only game I ever got my wife to play. We certainly didn't agree on many design aspects of the base, but it was still great fun. Is the Multiplayer Mod more stabil these days.

No, it's actually on Steam and you don't need anything special to host. Unfortunately most of the mods don't really work well with it, but just for playing vanilla with a friend it works great.

how come nobody trains the Thrumbo's? i always trap and train them. one of my playthroughs had 56 thrumbos. none of my colonist ever got injured by raids. you need to train them. you can slaughter them or just let them die during big raids for the fur. but no raid could get me.
Use droppods to get rid of toxic wastebags and dont put anything on the bothsides of the wind turbine wind turbines needs to be on open field no buildings no rocks no trees
How does Rimworld Multiplayer work? Since normal Rimworld you’re an omniscient god looking down at your pawns, but it seems like here, you’re assigned a pawn to “be” and have to take care of them while managing the colony.
With this mod you can control everything as you would normally, but so can your friend. We just assigned one pawn each, but if I wanted I could control his character same as he could mine.

It's just what you want to do really. You can easily make two colonies and trade, or just have fun together.
