Actually they aren’t harmed at all. He keeps them half in the air to show you the fish and half in the water for their gills to get water to breathe. Also kissing does not harm the fish. They don’t have teeth and it doesn’t harm them in any way. 0% harm in any video
I had a beta fish I loved. His name was Riptide. It was my first fish and I was new to the hobby. I had a water heater that didn’t have a temperature adjuster. It worked amazing during the cold months but as spring and summer came in it began making the tank way too hot. I had to take it out, put it back in, and so on. It was exhausting. I now have one you can adjust the temp in and it has worked amazingly until Riptides passing. Love you, Rippy!
Goldfish are famous for being “cold water” fish and thus not needing a heater. However, they still benefit from it for the reasons given, notably keeping the temperature stable and preventing it from getting *too* cold for them
My goldfish stay outside in the garden pond for the whole year (edit: I live in Austria, we have cold winters and the pond is covered with ice for about two months). The pond exists since 6 years, and I never had a dead fish. They're common, single tailed goldfish. I think this makes a big difference, since the fancy breeds are by far not as tough and robust.
Good thinking. Perhaps next year a heating or air conditioning unit suitable for the space? It might be more energy efficient to insulate and heat the room than heat every individual tank.
Heaters are great! My go to treatment for ich and many ailments. I've got a betta fish so he's always had a heater but it really is a tool that should be in every aquarist's arsenal. Adjustable ones are the only ones you should really get imo if anyone is looking to get one.
One thing I've learnt about heaters is that it's better to place them diagonally rather than vertically, as shown in the video. Just a quick little tip for a better result and more efficient heating.
HEY! I gots a related question fer ya... what about just _plants_ growing in water tanks with bubblers? Heater or not heater THAT, is my question! 😂😂😂😂
Yes. It is true. For some reason ranchus do better in a large aquarium vs a large pond ☝️ Even if both have heaters l. Also aquariums r easier to clean and change water. Once I get this new job, i’ll ask for permission if I can keep 1 or 2 ranchus
I saw 2 fish kiss at a mermaid show. They were silver colored fish, not goldfish. My grandma almost got the picture. They were sharing an open mouth kiss, and it was cute and hilarious.
Stable correct water temps are so important. Goldfish are in the carp family & prefer cooler water - but not chilly bbbrŕrrr... temps. And too warm water is just as bad. Learned this mixing Oranda goldfish with warm water fancy guppies - believing bully guppy gangs were the cause of their sudden demise. Uh, nooo...
I need some advice or info on what may be wrong with my goldie So I don't have the same species and I'm also not sure exactly what species he is but he lives alone in his tank so I know he hasn't fought but he looks like he's missing a huge chunk of skin on his lip, he's slowing down and isn't swimming as enthusiastically as usual, he's not eating as much, and he also isn't using one of his fins when he swims I don't know what the problem is and I have tried searching but found nothing
Depends on the breed. Fancy breeds need higher tempered water than common ones. I keep my common goldies in the garden pond for the whole year and they're fine with it, a fancy fish (like Luke's goldies) would most likely die in an unheated pond.
the fish seem to be having a great time because of you luke

What happens if the fish touch the heater? Is it safe, or is there something you should do to protect them?

I'm interested at keeping goldfish but I don't really know if they're ok with tropical weather
How do people keep their suction cups to suction long term, everything in my tanks always pop off.
Do you have any fancies with guppies? My sister wants to add small colorful fish to my oranda tank

Sir how much do i feed my goldfishes
They’re goldfish though. Don’t they prefer colder water?
Nah not the fancy ones they prefer more warmer water u could say Luke-warm 😂
Luke, can u do a meet and greet at OKC and sell some goldfish and merch
Bro just made the fish kiss
Do your clothes have kids sizes
I wish i had one like you😢
Luke, I recommend the InkBird controller to safeguard your fish from accidental heater malfunctions which could cook your fish.

Don’t you think they are going blind? because their head thing might grow too much and cover the eyes
Okay Luke, put your heaters on the side at the bottom. It’s more efficient and heat will always rise.
Can the fish on the right even see properly cut a litil off
R o u n d f i s h 😮

Hell yeah
Why is he making them kiss😂 I don’t think it’s consensual
You do know that goldfish r cold water fish???? Right???
just because they're cold water fish doesn't mean they love cold water, they prefer water around 60-70 degrees
@@SlimeisProbablyAutistic I should’ve considered that since you don’t live in California, your winters are probably colder than mine
