What bothers me about this piece is the proportions . The wood isn’t flush with the bolsters and this looks sloppy to me. Not that it has to be traditionally done but it is just not appealing to me.✌️
Will the bottle opener/cap-lifter ever disappear from knife design? Are they truly necessary tools or part of a "back in the day" mind set? Personally, I don't see their purpose beyond nostalgia. (Which is also a quite legitimate standpoint).
Beer bottles, soda bottles, etc still call for cap lifters. If you never go anywhere outdoors with food and drink, then you could probably dispense with that tool.

Thats a valid point. Its certainly proud by design but flush would also look good and be more traditional. Thanks for your input!

Good points for sure, but it also doubles as a flathead and as i said if you like to picknick or hike this would be a nice foodprep and eating tool 👍🏻
