Yes yes we raped the name... it's the Best man! Not the Big man.... don't know why we said that hahaha.
Also give away winners will be named next week! It's too early to draw.
Stay sharp and stay awesome!
Great show today. The camera work was FANTASTIC !

**How long to make that jerkey?
maybe can test opinel 10 vs this folding knife?
The jerky could have used a bit longer but took like 4 hours
@@DutchBushcraftKnives Try making Biltong. Very easy to make and IMO tastes better than dried jerky.
The song was hilarious and actually not bad lol
As that coffee was pouring out, I was thinking “I hope he puts something in that. That looks strong as hell.” Then the payoff. You know it’s bitter when it changes your language.
😂
I drink my coffee black with nothing In it. I used to put sugar and milk. Then it got to be to sweet, so I just put milk. Then one day I ran out of milk and just drank it with nothing. I got used to just having my coffee black. Put the pep in my step! One cup a day .
@@snoopu2601 a good coffee is good black
I think you guys would like the Civivi Appalachian drifter folder. I go one a few weeks ago and love it. Acid washed S35VN steel blade, matching deep cary pocket clip, micarta scales, and double detent lock (allows me 4 differenttechniquesto open it with).... all for under $85... I was blown away.
It's cool that it's a slip joint, that means it's even UK legal. But to be honest if you're going for a slip joint anyway, then a Swiss army knife is a more practical EDC - I use the other tools on my pocket knife *way* more frequently than the blades.
Now...can we convince Victorinox to make a supersteel knife?
I really like the pouch thing
It's a sami coffee pouch! I like them a lot
nice song
Yippee ki-yay! So now you two are cowboys. Hysterical!!! Would love to see you guys review the American standard folder, the Buck 110 (or the 112). You could even include the famous scene from Blazing Saddles.
Dbk making coffee with Bialetti moka machine. I did't expected to see the little man with big mustaches in your videos..
Funny cameo.
Good storytelling as we are used to see and interesting slipjoint knife from Lionsteel, which now massively uses M390 on it's knives. Personally I like it on folders but on fixed looks a little too brittle and prone to micro chipping for an HD fixed blade.
I would never beat on my knife to chop fire wood. That's what an axe/ hatchet is for! I would shave wood for kindle.
I usually drink tea more. But today i drank coffee
Can you do the msk1 from ultimate survival tips
You are brilliant guys hahaha Love your vids!!
😄 Mickey you sick fuck 😁😁
That was a very good video, enjoyed the song and I could actually buy that knife. But will check out the price first.
UK friendly 👍
Love the chanel love the video
👍🏻
WHERE'S THE COFFEE I NEED MY FIX
Your beef jerky is pretty much just Carne Asada
Chłop folderem batonuje, trzymajta mnie
Wow after some duch herbs, it was blooooody damn good episode and the song especially 😂😂😂
Am I the only one who always loves the music?
Nope👍
Woaw! So many things in that pouch! Need it...
great song, coming soon to stores near you, DBK coffee
Lol ... I was like “futile”... that doesn’t make sense. Then he asks what it means 😂
i thought the same thing
Resistance is futile
You have a gift for film making.
I want to taste the beef jerky you made with "Dutch herbs" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
And a new legend in Country music was born... DBK cofee best track of the year
Hi, a little hint if (light) batoning with slip joints is wanted or necessary. Hold the handle parallel to the wood in 90’ angle to the blade. Therefore the force to the lock / joint isn’t that devastating. The cowboy storyline with the stick horse was cute :)
its good to know it can take a beating though...
Was about to comment that!
This was the most relaxing dbk video ever 😂
I FREAKING LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
Channel loves you back bruv
I like this knife, reminds me of an old mushroom picking knife my grandfather (may he rest in peace) gave me, wonderful video as always guys!
I want the DBK soundtrack.... Brings a tear to my eye... It's just so... Moving...
If you guys are able I'd recommend the Tops Mil Spie Elite.
Great episode, I NEED that bag LOL! That would solve all my bushcrafting problems haha! Song was hilarious too. Nice job y'all. Mikke needs some cowboy boots
Music was trying to be a meme but it made me feel nostalgic, damn.
I admire the hell out of y’all! You’re my favorite channel on UA-cam! Every other knife reviewer or vendor just sits around and gabs on and on about the fit and finish, or how pretty the knife is, or some other relatively useless commentary. Only you guys consistently SHOW what the knife can actually DO! 😃
That said, with the utmost respect for you guys, I request that you not feature or promote drugs in any future videos. I know “Dutch herbs” seem harmless, but there really are pretty bad consequences that go with its use, and I’m not talking about legal or social consequences.
@@Deibodese :- WHAT ???
Have a look at the “liong mah -traveller” in sheepsfoot blade shape , i live in the uk so i. Terms of legal carry its my favourite ❤️
@Xyz For edc without a specific use, non locking folding knives with a blade under 3 inches. SAK for example is perfectly legal to carry. People are often surprised when you carry a knife so blades that look less ‘threatening’ are preferable.
Hey i think the sog terminus xr in d2 steel is a good edc knive is maybe you could test it
Keep cooking 🥘 even with the Dutch herbs 🪴. I will have to make some jerky now
You missed the opportunity to have a shot of him crushing the beans but with his back turned to the camera and it will look like he is blowing of steam
Favorite episode so far. Y'all are hilarious and it seems you're enjoying what you do even with all the work that goes into it. I Really enjoy the channel and content so far. Actually been pretty informative as to somewhat realistic use. Keep up the good work gentlemen!
Instructions for the mocca coffe machine:
Put water till the level touches the bottom of the coffe cup insert, put Some good coffe inside, but don't press it ! Then enjoy it !
Greetings from an half Italian fan 😀
This knife looks nice but when it comes to performance it's nowhere close to make me think that he'll be good enough to replace my EDC opinel with sharpened spine and blade by myself. I mean with opinel blade lock I'm kinda confident for even more heavy duty use than I'd go with regular folders even the ones with some lock mechanism
I used my UTX-85 to work once, they asked me to never bring it again. So I know how spooked people can get about a knife at work. Nevermind our in house butchers walk around with their cleavers and carving knives all day, a lil ole OTF pocket knife will have folks clutching their pearls.
Bring a cleaver in a sheath lol people can be so superstitious.
My everyday carry for decades was a CASE stockman.
@Mikki : I like when you speak like country cowboy style:))
My heroes, best channel ever!
Ah! Glad to see Mikkie doing what he loves, cooking 😛
Dear man, your video is excellent. Thank you very much. Cheers!
That pouch is like my handbag, a bottomless pit. Also; I loved the music in this episode.
You are still The Best. Congratulations. Respect from Ireland.
Should I get the Garberg or the Benchmade Leuku? Please help :)
When batoning with a folder it is usually recommended to do so with the blade not fully unfolded (set in its halfstop if it has one) and the handle placed downwards parallel to the wood being split.
First i was pissed because you still dont present the Dbk elmax knife. Then i was pissed about the knife choice. Then i was pissed because you did non-sense things with the knife.... BUT i was the BEST Video and the BEST entertainment you have ever made. Very very good job and thank you for the funny moments
😂😂😂👌yes the humour.
Although the sausage stabbings of 24.14 min were a tad unsettling
So good singing...... Perfect for this vid MB
Avoid lionsteel. Worst m390 heat treatment in the world.
I want more videos like this! Videos where you actually do bushcraft stuff and maybe even sleep in the woods! Good job guys!
That's a tasty episode. A lot of food. But where you can get Mikkie's bag? Looks like you can carry the entire house with you.
It's a special inuit bag passed down by generations... Once gifted to cowboy Mikkie after saving a village of inuit from a goliath bear attack
You got ratiod
I love You boys...... A Cowboy story..... So Good!!!!!
For the ones wondering why not a locking mechanism.
Locking mechanism on a folding knife is not a must. Knives are tools. If you don’t need to stab with them you don’t need the lock.
All the bush crafting skills highlighted on this video do not require stabbing.
If you are going to let’s say, hunt and skin, render big portions of meat then a lock would help as there you are stabbing the animal but at that point, one could probably make the argument that for those tasks you rather have a fixed blade.
In my country (Spain) in the north, there is a tradition of small pocket knife that’s sort of shepherd knife. Simple non-locking folders of a certain type of wood that you can wet and will expand and sort of tighten the blade if you need, they carry easy, are sharp enough, they don’t have an amazing edge retention but are very easy to sharp.
The kind of knife for small daily tasks of a shepherd. You can rest assured that If he needs to kill a lamb he will not use the folding knife...
Here is how they are done ua-cam.com/video/bwjULkwUxeY/v-deo.html
They are cheap (you can still buy them for 15-40 euros the basic ones depending on the finishes) but do a good job on the day to day. Nowadays there are still 30-50 artisans on that region doing that type of knife.
Try a Chicago cutlery folding knife
Well... In Norway its illegal to carry any knife from any sort on public ground unless you have a really gods reason😢😢. Nonsense
That sucks.... While you live in a land.eith great outdoors. When I was in norway though I did see some people with knives on their belts in the forests
@@DutchBushcraftKnives yeah. Exactly. Well, if they had a knife on theyr belt in the woods, then it is because they had a "valid reason" as the Norwegian government likes to call it
Dudes... I just happily replaced my old discontinued Gerber AR 3.0 with a boxed one I found in the Netherlands, after 20 years of solid use as a woodworker and builder and hiker/camper it had lost around 30mm off the length from all the sharpening etc, and picked up some rattles. It's only AUS-8 steel but kept sharp and strong for two decades and kept on surprising me. Totally recommend it as a cheaper-end knife of quality.
Dude has a nice voice.
Just discovered channel...

Folders!!!! WOOT!!! Nicky got some competition now!!! YOU GOING DOWN SHABAZZ!!!! DBK COMIN’ FOR YOU!!!
Start with the Spyderco Native Chief in S90V and CF!! Before they’re gone!! What a fantastic cutter.
This slipjoint is typical for casual knife use and some woodcarving, but don't use it for ferro striking because it will ruin the knife's spine. I use mine for typical utility purposes and to meal prep and cut open mail. It is a sharply made knife I recommend.
Im feeling so bad that in this 1 year of being subscribed I only have watched a few vids of this awesome and fun channel. I will be watching consistant from now on. 😆

Great episode 👏👏👏 with a lot of laughs 🤣...
I love to see clowns batoning their expensive "bushcraft" knives and they snap! LOL 😂😂😂 then I really lay into them about being a dummy for not using an axe, hatchet or froe for that. So stupid. I'll keep on hoping to see more fools doing this and ruining their overpriced brag tools
Seriously can you do a review on that coffee kit lol
I second that im interested in the grinder
@@mikeadams5410 for real I want that!!!
Ikea coffee grinder, and a bialetti i think.
@@nyihaaa appreciate it
The grinder is from ' fire box ' the pot is indeed a moka maker from bialetti
Not how you make jerky, but hey, if it’s good, who the hell cares? Salt usually functions as a preservative so don’t pack that up in your pack and head out on the Oregon Trail. Get ya some liquid smoke, and you’ll be really close. And for your apples, cook them in butter and use dark brown sugar instead of white sugar for better taste. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go get some lunch.
I have no idea why you test edc, non-bushcraft, knives against bushcraft tasks.
If you are going to test a knife like this, test it for what it is designed for. Like opening boxes and mail… Otherwise all you’re doing is the equivalent of a UA-camr testing a 22 long rifle to hunting a deer.
Wrong tool for the job.
Best goddamn episode of DBK I have seen. Ever. I might want to pick up the knife just for the video. Man!
Second favorite episode ever, right behind the giant Opinel folder! Funny my two favorite episodes are folding knives! Keep up the great work guys...still hoping to meet you both at a Bark River Grind In someday! Let me know when you go! PS the Lionsteel is a beautiful knife!
I just watched a video by Survival Russia. He called your channel "Dutch Bushcraft Girls". LOL.
So idk if it a by chance or what but I just took alil dab and start your video at 7:10 the got the 710th like on your video😅😅😅 and I maybe stoned but I think this was one of ur funnest videos to date, keep it up guys lots of love from eureka springs Arkansas!¡!
I'm always ready for some jerky! Why does the food always look WAY better quality than the US? The original music was awesome more please!
I wish my life allowed me to make food in the woods with my best buddy and a shiny new knife every week.
Am I the only one checking for the DBK coffee song on UA-cam..?
1:12 Last time you took this voice over this long westwards you ended up in Hawaii... just saying pilgrim... but I see you reached the flatlands already, no mountains in sight...
I'm afraid to watch this. I see right off the bat my favorite blade shape with a modern large Barlow looking handle, drool. Hopefully I can't afford it. Ok now on to the movie and popcorn.
This has got to be the strangest, and perverse video I have ever seen on UA-cam. A dubious accomplishment, but and accomplishment of sorts... IMHO
Maarten STOP!!! You FOOL! You ate food that MIKKIE cooked.....r.i.p.....😂
Release full album... 🔥👍🤣
Can you guys pls review the coldsteel sr1?????
The TOUGHEST folder knife you'll ever try
Despite my comments I have brought this.... Please DBK buy the tbs folder it is so tough
You think you guys can do a cutt test after use with the Benchmade bushcraft, I watched your other video and there was never a edge retention test thanks
Screw the knife. I want the bag that everything just kept coming out of….🤣. Talk about space
I came here for a Lionsteel review but now I have a theme song that plays in my head every time I drink coffee.
🔥✊😁LOVE💚DBK😁✊🔥
i know you guys have tons of knives and sheaths, but either way, i make kife rolls, blade protectors and such out of leather, so if you need/ or would like to hace a custom made sheath for any of your knifes just let me know and ill do my best
EKA Swede, best folder ever
I have the one with the the clip and the warncliffe...it's a workhorse. Never gonna use it for food prep or fire starting...or batoning...lmao
Micky looks like he could be the star of Broke Back Mountain especially at 8:40 haha
"A man without a knife is a man without a life." Good quote.
Where do you got a totally plastic wrapped Paprika in Europe? We have even yogurt without plastic tops...
I love your Videos Boys, you make a great Job. Continue so. Greatings from Italy.
