Todd used the negative close twice on the infield videos: “If we got a smoothie would that be a crazy idea?” “Would you be opposed if we grab drinks in 10 mins?” I just saw an Alex Hormozi video where he mentioned the psychology of this in sales. It’s easier for humans to say “no” than “yes” especially if the request is a hard sell. By framing the question so “no” answers in the affirmative people feel that they aren’t pressured to comply while still agreeing to the request. Todd is truly a master!
