Roger Taylor and John Deacon were so good at what they originally did that once they started to experiment with other means of recording, the output turned out inferior in my honest opinion. I often wonder who Freddie was closest to in the band. I think him and Brian clashed a lot, but that's to be expected in a band. But I think it was Roger who Freddie got on with the best.

michelle88960 Roger always said that Freddie was his best friend. They were friends before Queen was formed. They had that flea market stall in Kensington, and I believe, were roommates for a time.
i agree, him and john had a brotherly relationship but him and roger fit the typical best friend trope really well, if this makes sense
