Phyton 87 Cowboys From Hell is definitely NOT thrash. The style "groove metal" was created for Pantera because it was post-thrash and their own unique sound.
Of what I‘ve listened to so far: 1 Slayer 1 Megadeth 3 Exodus 4 Anthrax ... Metallica Kreator Metallica has absolutely no place in the top 3 because they stopped being good and thrash after 91 and that‘s already 27 years ago. Plus they never had a decent thrash drummer and they stopped nailing it live on a regular basis a good long time ago. Hetfield, 80s Hammitt and Cliff Burton are not enough reasons to be up there. Technically best lineup is the classic Megadeth, the most constant thrash band is Slayer.
Wow another Metallica hater here. Remember that Megadeth was changing their lineup more through years than Metallica. And don't you remember album Risk from 1999? That's not Thrash either. Metallica is still best and always was. So they deserve number one
@@heavymetalmadness2036 Risk is like taking a Taylor Swift album and putting a little distortion on it. In my opinion neither Megadeth nor Metallica deserve a spot in the Big 4, because of the shit they did after Rust in Peace and Justice. Slayer had only one album with punk covers and all the others were pure Thrash (I'm not saying they were good, but they were Thrash) and Anthrax have always been Thrash Metal (although a little lighter and more Melodic then other bands). So the Big 4 for me would be Slayer Anthrax Exodus Overkill That's my opinion on that matter, you can freely disagree and express your opinion 😄
Even though metallica isn’t necessarily considered thrash anymore they are one of the biggest reasons thrash metal is on the map from their early stuff
Those bands don't have as big a fan base as the bands mentioned in the video. Although they may have had somewhat of an influence to the bands in the video but their music isn't really that popular nowadays. Sorry.
harmonic and technical isn't the point of thrash metal though - however they do absolutely shake the house down and could have been #2 maybe just for peace sells and Rust. Rust in Peace in my opinion is one of if not the greatest metal album ever released, and definitely hammers them a place near the top of the list
@@xraygamer9895 Slayer is too generic sounding to be the #2 thrash band in my opinion. Thrash isn't about profound musicianship, but Slayer songs are barely distinct from one another, and so basic musically or lyrically speaking. Not to mention the dire solos. Megadeth are not overrated; they're a fantastic blend of killer riffs, advanced but catchy solos and iconic well written vocals. Again, not pure thrash but legendary and certainly not overrated. Just opinions at the end of the day, but I really do think the music backs them up.
Well I guess here, it is pretty subjective. I personally am a huge Slayer fan, never listened to Megadeth. When it comes to the big four, you can't say any is better than the other because it is your opinion. Then again, you can't have all 4 on number one. Or can you?

Destruction and dark angel both. Fuck off with testament and death angel. Destruction and dark fuckin angel were bigger influnaces . Testament and death angel just followed what exodus and Metallica did
Slayer's just got something in them... that sound. So evil, and heavy, the sound of controlled chaos. Like a Sorcerer or Warlock, who wields the powers of chaos creating unending destruction. Btw how do you copy these vocals? I can do pretty punky Sepultura style thrash vocals, but I struggle to do the high screams like Tom Araya or the dude from Death Angel. I managed to do a falsetto scream if I really push it, Rob Halford Style, but that takes loads of effort and strain, and I probably wouldn't be able to upkeep that style for the entirety of a song, especially whilst playing guitar. The strange part is that I'm apparently a falsetto for my vocal range...

Phyton 87 Cowboys From Hell is definitely NOT thrash. The style "groove metal" was created for Pantera because it was post-thrash and their own unique sound.
No sepultura????wow..this is a joke list
They are more into groove
this makes no sense...
@@nabarungautam6995 Dude, Beneath the Remains and Arise are thrash gold
No melvins on the stoner list either
@@s.a.l.1974 melvins are grunge
Definitely Death Angel! Those guys never got their due. Simply fantastic
*SEPULTURA IS THE BEST OF THRASH METAL*
4 thrash metal albums they turned into groove/thrash and death metal later
Nick Wick they are still better then Overrated Overkill
Death Sucks Overkill is too repetitive. All of their albums have the same shitty vocals along with the high pitch treble and trigger happy drums
Yeeeeaaahhh FUCKING SEPULTURA
Of what I‘ve listened to so far:
1 Slayer
1 Megadeth
3 Exodus
4 Anthrax
...
Metallica
Kreator
Metallica has absolutely no place in the top 3 because they stopped being good and thrash after 91 and that‘s already 27 years ago.
Oooooooppppppppiiiiiiiinnnnnniiiiiiiiooooooonnnnnnnn.
So the Big 4 for me would be
Slayer
Anthrax
Exodus
Overkill
That's my opinion on that matter, you can freely disagree and express your opinion 😄
@@SLAYER.APO.VOLO. You mean endgame and dystopia? These two albums are killer.

Metallica Is My Favorite Band But #1 Should've Gone To Slayer
Metallica's And Justice For All And Slayer's Seasons In The Abyss got me into Metal/Rock Music. Long live Rock/Metal 🎸🤘
Even though metallica isn’t necessarily considered thrash anymore they are one of the biggest reasons thrash metal is on the map from their early stuff
Where the hell is Destruction! Where is Tankard! What about Annihilator? Venom, anyone?
DarkHawk 317 venom is nowhere a good band to be in a top 10
Those bands don't have as big a fan base as the bands mentioned in the video. Although they may have had somewhat of an influence to the bands in the video but their music isn't really that popular nowadays. Sorry.
That's disappointing because Destruction deserves popularity and acknowledgement they're an extremely good band.
Yeah dude i reckon venom is more black metal tbh
DarkHawk 317 Venom isnt thrash
Megadeth should've been #1, they've got the best riffs by far and their solos are harmonic and technical
harmonic and technical isn't the point of thrash metal though - however they do absolutely shake the house down and could have been #2 maybe just for peace sells and Rust. Rust in Peace in my opinion is one of if not the greatest metal album ever released, and definitely hammers them a place near the top of the list
Megadeth is overrated af and i'm so glad they didn't get 2nd place, Slayer deserved that more than them
@@xraygamer9895 Slayer is too generic sounding to be the #2 thrash band in my opinion.

@Chris Solgot nice! So which album is ur favorite?
@Chris Solgot nice, i also think darkness descends is their best album
Megadeth easily beats slayer any day
In my opinion
I agree, Slayer is like 3 different genres.
Well I guess here, it is pretty subjective. I personally am a huge Slayer fan, never listened to Megadeth. When it comes to the big four, you can't say any is better than the other because it is your opinion. Then again, you can't have all 4 on number one. Or can you?
at least megadeth has more than two good albums
Megadeth beats them all
zawg there should have been artillery or sepultura on this list, they're truly goated
Megadeth should always be higher than Metallica. Not saying their bad just not compared to Megadeth. I mean cmon
Metallica was more influential

Anthrax is underrated as hell. Every album with Joey on vocals is excellent and they are the best out of the big 4 today.
I do think anthrax is very underrated but nothing can compare 80’s Metallica or legit any Megadeth album
I do think they are better than slayer though
They and slayer are overrated. Well,it' s just my opinion.

Yeah,fuck this top!
