+serum42, They should have simulators for people to play so they can know the track and less likely to crash going hard into corners they don't know have become tighter than they've expected.
I was kinda spooked out as I've never driven on a race track before. some friends told me I was crazy to do my first on the Nordschleife. this video took away any fears I had. instead of having anxiety building up to the day I now have nothing but excitement.THANK YOU!
Great video and explanation for first-timers! I wish I had seen this when it was first posted. I did my first laps at Nurburgring just two months later on May 22, 2016, so this brings back great memories! Everything was exactly as you explained it, except that the blue ticket booth at the first parking lot on the right wasn't there and we had to walk over to the main ticket booth to get our pass. The first thing that I recognized was the petrol station asI had to come back out and refuel. I spent way too much money at the souvenir booth, but I have a great Nurburgring jacket as well as lots of other swag to show for it!
Epic video. Even better than the one where you were in your E36 on November :) you should make one with a perfect racing line with comments about the grip and most popular mistakes that people do. Cheers.
Great vid! When you just entered the gates for your guide lap i exit my lap. Maybe u saw my unofficial BMW RING Taxi e92 from Netherlands with old decals? I have your RingTaxi in my vlog. Maybe till next time on the nordschleife! Keep going up with your channel and laps. grtz Amrit aka Carvlogger
Thanks for the video, especially the parts explaining how the tickets, car parks etc... work! Most people know the track, but not where you go before. Looking forward to going to the touristfahrten for the first ever time on the 29th :)
Thanks Dale, a very handy guide. I thought you could mention that when joining the track at Breidscheid, extreme caution is needed under acceleration in the wet as it's as slippery as a very slippery thing. And then some.
Love the video, 2016 was my first ride on the Nordschleife and I loved it. One hint that may be worth mentioning.. I booked co-driver to sit in on all my laps, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. He was safe but still showed me where I can push the car a little. I also found that I was so focused on what's ahead that he had to tell me to move over for faster drivers because I'd never have noticed them otherwise.
Thank you for a very clear, calm, detailed, concise and excellent narration of the etiquette and description of the track. This reduces the fear factor and makes me look forward to my trip to the Ring.
Brilliant video. Having recently visited here I cannot stress enough to people that think they can turn up and blitz this place that you are wrong! Scary scary place and the dips crests and blind bends need respect!
thanks for a intro to the Nurburgring and the etiquette of the ring. Would love to drove it some day. I live on the other side of the world in Australia.
Great video and info......Thank you Dale for the nice quiet educational drive! Goal is to start coming out on a regular basis and start checking out this area. Looking into possibly moving out there.
Thanks for this video +BridgeToGantry! After watching it I did my first lap ever at the 'ring today, I did not see everyone use the left and right indicators as you instructed, but hey, you get that on the Autobahn as well :) thanks again!
I would love a video about the the racing line in the wet, because it differs a lot from the one in dry conditions. I think many people don't know that...
Visited the 'Ring last year with my Saab 900 Coupe from '89, with 100 hp and no powersteering it was a bit of a struggle but nonetheless loads of fun! It's all about using your mirror like you explained very well, those M3's were flying past and it was beautiful to watch!
Hi Dale, are you Dale Lomas? So yes than i will let you know that i drove with you in your Lotus Elise from RSR. It was the Best drive ever over the Ring. Nower days i remember it as it was yesterday. Good luck stay healhty and drive safely. 😎
Great guide, I'm over for my first visit on 8th September 2017 for the weekend, can't wait to have a go around and this guide was brilliant to watch. Might have to treat me and the mrs to a ring taxi lap over the weekend too
Fantastic video! I wish I knew about this before I hit up the Nordschleife 6 months ago. I likely confused many people when I indicated left for people to pass me on the left (I was in the HPDE “point-by” mindset - point left for someone to pass on the left). Thankfully it caused no harm, now I know for next time.
I really enjoyed watching this, next to your Cupra videos, which I am also a owner of :) I still have never been to the NBR yet, but I might try this year its only 150km from my hometown. Thanks!
Awesome video! I remember watching the first guide video you made loads before my first lap last year! It helped so much! Can't wait to go back! :D

THIS is F*^%ken AWESOME! *Best Nordschleife* P.O.V. video I've seen . Like FU@!ken BEING THERE! Reason I was watching is I am moving to Europe next year -2020 - (taking my Precious WOLF) and the *first thing* I am going to be doing is heading out to Nürburgring with my Mercedes *WOLF 888* - and drive that track until Wolf and I are done. Thank you for a great Track Report.
Great video, a group of us should be heading over from the UK in August! Hopefully see you when we are over there, you won't miss us as the cars should have 'Rev Limits' stickers on them :)
Great guide Dale. Might see you in 2 1/2 weeks. We're there for 5 days so I might have a lap on the Monday seeing as we would of taken a day to get there and probably won't be best focused for our own cars cheers.
+BridgeToGantry What are some of the reasons why people would come off the track at Ausfahrt Breidsheid 12:00? I always thought once you started your lap you would want to finish it in one go.
Maybe somebody isn't feeling well inside the car (passengers).. Mayne your car has damage or it overheats, or you feel like a quick break due to the traffic the Nordschleife sometimes has.
i had that clanking noise on my old car when i was maneuvering, after i installed aftermarket suspension...turns out one of the front springs was not seated properly on its mounting point and was slipping...super annoying. awesome video by the way
Great video thank you. Since 2007 I go to the Ring a couple of times a year, and once I took the entrance at Breidscheid, but didn't know you could also exit there lol. Good to know.
Saw you and Misha in front of the RingTaxi stand. Wanted to say hi but you left. Next Time :D Edit: Actually that's me at 1:48 😂 thought you left, but it seems like you just wanted to film the intro at a much quieter and less busy place :D
Hi!... greetings from India. Thanks alot for making this video. We in India have to drive in very tight situations so putting our foot down is never over 3rd Gear. so loved to see a drive around the "ring" at mortal speeds. Plus the Indicator discipline is Impeccable. We have to drive here like almost road rash to be safe.... fender benders are quite often coz if you drive safely people don't notice you and forgets your presence and bump into you. I have had instances where people drove around me like its the last race of some world championship. often those are busses and heavy vehicles then the cars and small bikes who just give a F^%$ about rules. then cows, dogs, cats, pedestrians jump over guard rails. then there are the bumpy roads and the pot-holes. Someday I will travel there to enjoy few minutes of motoring bliss....... :P
This video should be projected on a screen at the ticket office so that new visitors could be invited to watch it.
made to watch it* more like :D
+serum42, They should have simulators for people to play so they can know the track and less likely to crash going hard into corners they don't know have become tighter than they've expected.
They have it at the boulevard and also in the lindner hotel at the nurburgring.
@@racemonster6931 they have what?
@@racemonster6931 We need an answer Race Monster. WHAT DO THEY HAVE!?
This video should be mandatory viewing for anyone thinking of driving the ring ! : )
Excellent video, you explain everything very clearly. Thanks!
how did I watch this for 20 mins and not notice how long I've been watching?
+Jivjav Mik Ha! I had to check right after reading your comment, no shit that was 20 minutes!!? I was hoping he was gonna do another lap actually!
one of the best footages around the world filming the green hell. thank you.

Love the fact that you left nothing out and the video has no cuts 👍
and i asked myself, dale what do you doing... Greetings from the first Swift at T13 👍
He is in a BMW and he is indicating... what does he know? :D
that he knows the rules of the road there...and how to stay alive.

the Pflanzgarten turn is absolutely madness! It must be a thrill to take this downhill flat out
Hey that's me filming @17:14 :P
We all know that you're filming there. You are there every Touristenfahrten and VLN xD
+Auto Addiction Nürburgring Videos - subbed a couple years ago, keep up the great work ! really like the prompt uploads as well : ]
Epic video. Even better than the one where you were in your E36 on November :) you should make one with a perfect racing line with comments about the grip and most popular mistakes that people do. Cheers.
Dale got a lovely clean lap on my Ring Taxi video which might help view the perfect racing lines

A tip of this instructor's hat to Dale for a very well executed narration of a safe lap. Well done sir!

Planning on going to Germany for the Nordschleife next spring. This is exactly the type of video I'm looking for. Thank you.
Very nice vid, very usefull for anybody who wants to go TF.
I've been to the 'Ring a few times, but still found this brilliantly helpful. Compulsory viewing. Thanks.

Dale, I am a big fan of your Nürburgring films! Take care and see you at the track!
very nice explanation.
Understandable for "first-time drivers" and "experienced drivers" who just want to see the changes in 2016.
Great Job!
Great video. This should be a must for anyone who wants to drive the RING their very first time - regardless of experience.
Thank you. Best video I have seen so far, really great explanations to calm the nerves of a first timer.
This should mandatory video for everyone visiting Ring. Great job Dale!
THAT was great. Thank-you and we'll see you for a ride in September.

Great video! Good education on how to navigate the Ring for the first time.
Well Done! Thank you for a clear, concise overview of the program for accessing Nurburgring.

Great vid. Funny, I have a couple old PB magazine's, with a guide on how to drive the different NS sections, with you as one of the contributers.
A fantastically informative video, thank you!

Thank you very much. Greeting from Madrid
I would be glad about a video concerning differences due to the new road surface at some spots in 2016 - if there are any.
+fifficus I heard they redid about 500m of tarmac to straighten a few bad bumps.
Thanks for the ride that was fun, learned a lot. Would LOVE to visit and drive the "ring" someday. Happy new Year 2019.

Thanks for the guide. I have watched a lot of "fast" videos but they don't really explain the whys and hows, just create white knuckles!

Do we get a discount for the Ring Taxi if we wear a Bridge to Gantry T shirt???
Dale, thank you for this video with made my 1st drive safe & easy.

Driving the ring in 6 days, great video!
Thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you!
Good video, this should everyone see before driving the first time!

awesome video by the way
great video my son and i are coming next week ,great tips
Very cool video. Thanks😀👍👍👍
It must be easier than I anticipated to gauge where cars are on the road. Doing a quick shoulder check before turning in sounds scary
Great informative vid Dale. Gutted I’m missing out this year.
thanks a lot. really good video with a totally sympathic and calm attitude.
Speed safe :-) and greetingz,
Marius
good one, mate. really nice video. i hope many people will have a look at it. greets
Great video thank you. Since 2007 I go to the Ring a couple of times a year, and once I took the entrance at Breidscheid, but didn't know you could also exit there lol. Good to know.
1Bottleneck Do you have to pay to go there and do a lap with your car?
Yes, according to the official website the price in 2017 is 25 euro for one lap on Monday-Thursday, and 30 euro on Friday-Sunday
Outstanding video! Thank you for the upload. I'm looking forward to my turn to safely run the ring!
Thank you for this video Dale. Now we are super excited to do our first lap this year!
Absolute epic guide . Thank you...
Superb video. Really great watch :)
Really useful video. Great job. See you again this year.
Thanks!
I repeat this to remember all conners.
next summer i go another trip to Nurb.
Try to take some local snack to you as thanks )
Thx a lot, seems a good idea to watch this vid before visiting the Ring in order to understand the particular rules there. Maybe some day... ;)
Watching this in 2022. Love this quote "Nobody ever set lap record in the car park."
Saw you and Misha in front of the RingTaxi stand. Wanted to say hi but you left. Next Time :D

Great job Dale!
very Excellent video
Fantastic video, perfect info! This is just what I wanted to see before I come down for a few laps. subscribed!

Thank you! This was very helpful. I'll be attending CTMeet and will have my first go at the Nordschleife in a couple of days. Cheers! :)
