In 2001 I came across one of these I was cleaning up a pond the house was going to be sold and they had one and that was the first time for me up until now on your video.
Wow, 2001. It was old then, even older now. All of the numbers on the sticker are all faded out, even the model number and serial number. I'm going to have to ask my distributor about it to see if they can guess how old it is. Take care.
I have a client in Modesto that has one of these. I've replaced the sand the laterals and the lateral hub but it still does not work.. Same valve and everything. Also, it's a 30,000 gallon pool. It's a nightmare.
That still exists in the UK and europe. Even up to the tallest version that we knew as a De filter. They are easier to mantain than regular sand filters…
Really! Thanks for the comment. How are they easier to maintain? Would you take the filter top off and do something inside on a regular basis to help maintain? Or is this type just easier to do a sand change because the top comes off?

Yep, just have to tell them it's time to upgrade to a new filter.

@@truelightpoolsllc4441 top off take the unions off and flip it over and rinse it out. Then you add new sand. Its 10x easier. But DE is the best
@@ahz987 Wow, I agree, DE is the best.
I’m a pool guy and I’ve never seen that kinda filter before lol
Yep, me neither!
