That 5 min of canucks is real strength. They weren’t hungry enough simple as that. Oiler was more consistent. Without silov, this game would have been 7 to 2
5 minutes is all they played the last two games. At the end of the day, being the "underdog" team doesn't mean anything if you lose. You can only rely on dumb luck come backs so many times before luck runs out. At the end the day, when you've got players getting paid millions to shoot the puck and choose to pass instead, this is what you get. Canucks deserved to be golfing. Pathetic performance once again just like Game 7 against Vegas.
@@iceagebaby564 Same for game 7. Beginning mode with basically the Oiler's net empty. Lets be honest, if the Canucks actually shot the puck, the Oilers net is good as empty with Skinner in net.
I’m a Die hard oiler fan and I will be the first to admit that Silovs was the best player in the series… I’d argue that he is the best emergency backup the league has ever seen.
Canucks have some of the strongest end-of-game pushes of any team in Hockey, but if you aren't gonna play a full 60 minutes, then your late-game comebacks are only gonna get harder and harder to pull off. Respect to Silovs, he put forward a super star effort for his team. Looking forward to seeing more of him in the future. Can't wait for the Stars Oilers rivalry revival >:)

Good game by the Oilers, the last 6 minutes were really hard to watch but throughout most of the game they played an amazing road game. Even as a Habs fan I'm rooting for Edmonton, hopefully they go to the finals and bring the cup back to Canada.
As a Canucks fan, Oilers really deserved to win no doubt. You shouldn't win when you have 3-18 shots in the game at one point, and get no shots on goal on a 4 minute powerplay. Game 6 and 7 belonged to the Oilers. I wasn't expecting Canucks to stop playing like this, at home and everything, I have to say I'm surprised they played their worst when their best performance was needed the most. Silovs was outstanding though.
Silovs made the score respectable. The power play let us down and not having Boeser was the the final straw that broke the Canucks back. Great season overall and at least we know we have solid goaltending for next year!
Petterssom and Hughes need to take a long hard look in the mirror this off season. That was one of the softest performances by two stars I’ve seen in a long time the fact the Canucks made it this far is unbelievable Petey and Hughes look like boys amongst men out there it was cringe to watch. Feel bad for guys like miller, big z and garland etc who actually showed up !
Yo take it easy on em, nucks had very little playoff experience, this is a good first step from not even being in the cup conversation for how long? while also having their starter out as well, you know how screwed most teams would be in that position?
Welcome to watching hockey for the first time Brian! Btw, Austin Matthews (a leaf star) finish second amongst NHL forwards in blocked shot this past season, and led the league the previous year. So wonder no more. If you have any other terrible opinions that need correcting with facts/statistics then don't hesitate to ask!
When oilers need to show up, they bring it. Their PK unit is absolutely one of the key factors why the Oilers won this series. Their determination after falling behind in the series never faltered! I had said that Vancouver was #1 for penalties taken and taking penalties against a powerhouse team that that scores on the PP is just dangerous. Oilers deserved this hard fought game. Kudos to Bouchard who has just been one of the best players over all in the playoffs!

Canucks exceeded everyone’s expectations all season. And made it to round 2 game 7 without Demko. Who knows what could’ve happened tonight with Boeser still in the game. Proud of our pacific division champions 💙💚
What a series, it really was down to the wire and so many small factors could of made it change drastically either way, for both these teams they’ve been through absolute mountains to climb. for Vancouver last year was a complete nightmare year, having one of the most controversial coach firings, trading your long tenured captain and what seemed to be an absolute unfixable mess, yet becoming an absolute resilient and extremely passionate group in the next year with some of the most clutch performances this decade. for Edmonton an extremely chaotic start and difficult set of crushing losses which had many questioning the direction of the team, yet still clawing back from what seemed to be the grave, not only that but an absolute hurdle knowing that the canucks have seemed to have their number all year and it almost felt like it would be that way in this series too. At the end of it all you’ll have one side cheering and the other side hurting, but for both fan bases don’t let it take away from the fact that these two teams have really showed prowess and resilence, and deserve all the love from their fanbases
Congratulations to the Edmonton Oilers for winning the Western Semis against the Canucks, 4 games to 3 (3-2 in Game 7). Now it's against the Dallas Stars for the Western Conference title. Good luck to them.
Yep, the Kanucks are their own worst enemy in their own end. Lost count of how many times they coughed the puck up in their own end when they had ample time to clear it off the boards and out. But they always seemed to think that they could still make a play even though two fresh legged oilers were bearing down on them. Idiots.
I strongly disagree that the Oilers were the better team. The Canucks were suffering from multiple injuries and were forced to play with their #3 goalie.

I will say I am immensely proud of the Vancouver Canucks and how they exceeded so many expectations this season. With that being said, tragically, they tarnished it many ways with another gutless performance, where they only started playing when it was too late for them.
As a fan of hockey in general, I'm bummed to see the Canucks drop out of it, but what a great few series they played. Hoping either Florida or Edmonton wins it all.
Silovs would be that goalie to win the Conn Smythe on the losing team, he was THAT good. Canucks got a good starter on their hands and this series showed it. GG Canucks!
For all the people who were saying "Oh the Preds lost to a third string goalie in the first round.", this should be evidence that Silovs may be a "third string goalie" on paper, but he is definitely a first stringer on the ice. If he keeps this up, he's going to have one insane career.

Petey sucked too
No deal!
add demko and a brock for game7 and its a different series
@@grindTIME1985 Lack of depth?
Canucks almost did it again for like the 4th time these playoffs..
wish they pulled it off
They were never close lol. Edmonton sat back. After the 2nd goal they didn't allow vanloser to get a single shot
I feel so bad for Silovs, he came to battle with heart. Canucks left him hanging.
As a hockey fan from Minnesota thanks to these two Canadian teams for some of the best hockey of 2024 I was leaning towards Vancouver winning but no disappointment in the final outcome! I can't stand Dallas so rock n roll Edmonton
thank you:)
Standby for disappointment. Captain Jamie Benn and the boys are about as rock solid as a team can be right now.
@@bdsjr32 right back at ya?
sorry Charlie - Dallas is a better team > Dallas is heading to the Final
This goalie guy the canucks have, why hasnt we've seen him more? And he comes from a small ass port city in latvia, huge ups to that guy
5 minutes of serious play by my canucks uuuuuugh
That 5 min of canucks is real strength. They weren’t hungry enough simple as that. Oiler was more consistent. Without silov, this game would have been 7 to 2
@@Dlclrh9011 yeah they played like dogshit and no urgency till the final minutes. so frustrating to watch.
@@Tee123teeWell game 6 the nucks played terrible, it was literally just chel on beginner mode for the oilers
I legit knew Canucks wasn't winning game 7 just by watching the 4 minute powerplay in period 1
100%. Not a single shot on goal in a four minute double minor? Plus they gave up a breakaway? I knew we were going to lose at that point
Game 7 at home does not play well with the home team - Statistically!
Vancouver went sleeping. Cudos to the goalie who played his heart out every match!
Yeah, sleeping for 2 games
They were dreaming of the golf resort ⛳️
Thank God they did - Vancouver DOES not need another RIOT - done - gone - bye
Watching Edmonton lose to Dallas in Playoffs 5 years in a row was a defining moment of my childhood, it was so fun to believe year after year even tho they would always end up losing.
Can't believe we get to see this AMAZING rivalry take place again, what a time to be alive
LET'S GO OILERS!!
The good old days for sure, Ninimaa, Smyth, Bergeron, Salo, Laraque, horcoff, those years were insane!
Respect nucks. Made it a battle till the end. I’m an oil fan but respect the hell out of your team. Entrance music and goal song are elite. See you guys next year, bring on the Stars 🟧🟦
Amazing that Oilers have 12 Ontario born players. Thanks ONT
That is astonishing, thanks Ontario from me also!
canucks fan here. congrats to the oilers. you were the better team:) good luck against the stars. i will be cheering for you. kick some ass
Silovs was literally the Canucks team that game. Guy gave 101%
Dear Silovs,
come to the Dark side. We have the West Edmonton Mall.
From,
- Every Oilers fan
I love you, Oilers!!! What a performance❤
What a no-show from Vancouver on game 7, the 3-2 score doesn't show just how uninspired their performance was in a do-or-die situation.
Don't forget about Boeser, he was great if not the best
Silovs showed up. Everyone else made reservations for the golf resort ⛳️
Yo take it easy on em, nucks had very little playoff experience, this is a good first step from not even being in the cup conversation for how long? while also having their starter out as well, you know how screwed most teams would be in that position?
As an Oilers fan I gotta tip my cap to Silovs. He has a bright future that's for sure.
Always love watching the Canucks getting dusted
Congrats to Edmonton, what a series , 6 match was different and change power to Oilers.
Up 3-0 draisaitl and RNH both block shots! Ever seen leaf stars block shots? Hmmmm!
What happened to Quinn Hughes?
Edmonton deserv that serie win! So much effort the whole season!
One heck of a series! Thank you canucks for the incredible second 2, you guys have a bright future ahaed of you! Lets go Oilers! One game at a time boys we got this
Cheering for the only Canadian team left in the NHL Playoff 🇨🇦 Let's go Oilers 🧡 Also a big shout out to Canucks and their fans for an amazing playoff series. 👏🥳
ggs Oilers, was a good series overall.
Only Canucks fans I seen were ones making fun of Oilers chirping about everything now it's just crickets
@@SleepyRickyC92 yeah beautiful series. 👏
@@nototyranny2719 I gotta say, Canucks fans inside stadium did everything to cheer on their team. I think they gave Canucks a lot of energy specially on Game 1, turning a 4-1 loss to a 5-4 win. Hats off to both teams' fans for making the games so much fun and joyful to watch. 😊
@@MoementumFinance I agree it was an awesome series just no need for ignorance they are both Canadian teams and I would cheer on the winner regardless because I wanna see the cup back in Canada
Anyone notice what looked to me like a pretty clear case of G interference on EDM'S 3rd G ?
At the time I was wondering why it took Silovs, who has been lightning quick moving side to side all series, so long to get over ...
EDM fwd at edge of the crease bumping him evee so slightly was the reason why.
Where are the canucks fans after game 5? Dont celebrate too early anything can happen in playoff hockey.
I've been wearing mine(24/7) for the last 22 years. The power of the black mock-neck is REAL!
Vancouver just disappeared. Genuinely wondering what happened to that team.
just like their silly fans team has no balls
The Canucks and the buffalo sabres are the only teams in the NHL that get participation awards in the NHL. We participate every year hahaha 😂
two strangely similar teams who went deep and never made it all the way and have stunk for long periods of time
also entered the year at the same time
but enjoy while it last Dallas will beat you up
guys the Oil Team is championship material. total domination in Vancouver! should have been 6:0 at least!
oilers were just the better team, no question. The amount of turnovers by the canucks was just comedic
Shootout to Silovs coming in in an insane scenario and holding the fort 💪 I'm a Leaf fan but have been keeping up since we got eliminated and oh boy is Silovs gonna make waves. Great series! Congrats to Oilers fans!
As a Canadian, great series but sad 1 of the Canadian teams are out. I was initially with Edmonton but was surprised Vancouver was just as good…good luck Edmonton, the cup belongs in Canada so go get it
What a series congrats to both teams, Vancouver really made this great at the end
Looks like you'll get your chance to find out. 😀
WHY DID WE WAIT 115 MINUTES TO ACTUALLY GET SHOTS AT SKINNER AND MAKE HIM CHOKE?
Because you chanted skinner when your team was struggling with communication.
Vancouver choked ,why you blaming Skinner. All you canuckleheads trash talking jinxed the team as usual.
@@Robert99909 greatest analisys ever lol😂
@@jimedge8301agree
Skinner never chokec, just the defense
Silovs would be that goalie to win the Conn Smythe on the losing team, he was THAT good. Canucks got a good starter on their hands and this series showed it. GG Canucks!
That was the 2nd best goalie named Arturs I've ever seen.
🦈
For all the people who were saying "Oh the Preds lost to a third string goalie in the first round.", this should be evidence that Silovs may be a "third string goalie" on paper, but he is definitely a first stringer on the ice. If he keeps this up, he's going to have one insane career.
Even if you’re a Canucks fan, you can’t possibly believe the Canucks deserved that series.
Yeah the Stars would have killed this Canucks team that has no Boeser and Demko.
Usually the better team wins in a full 7, and the OIlers were definitely the better team.
@@RC30018 There's a good chance that Demko would have returned if the Canucks advanced. I think the Canucks (with Demko) vs Dallas would have been a close series.
@@nrdifycanucks can barely score be serious
There's no such thing as deserving and if Oilers choke that many leads to the Canucks, by your logic is that deserving?
regardless of them losing the series Vancouver did amazing and there goalie is a beast .
Dallas depth up front will force oilers to play 4 lines! Thats gna be tough on Oilers! Also Dallas big goaltending advantage! Excited to watch a great entertaining long series!
It's gonna be Dallas in 5.
Exactly the same things they said about the Canucks.
@@timothyletwin5911dallas actually have depth never thought the canucks did
@@missstar219 That's all Canuck fans were saying from the beginning. Oilers have enough. Looks at playoff points. Where is the Dallas depth advantage? Not defensively either.

Silovs spun like a squirrel in a wheel, top performance of the youngster! Sad for him, it was helpless to advance next round...
The game was unofficially over when Vancouver allowed 3 goals in the second period
Officially too 😂
I thought it was over when they didn't get a shot on goal during a 4 minute man advantage.
Так и получилось в принципе @@oldjoe58
Or when they had 4 shots total through halfway in the second hahaha
