You guys have an incredible chemistry, the way you listen to and look at each other while the other talks. Thanks for highlighting this topic, it is a must-talk about subject in relationships, and especially, marriage. I'm here for more of you guys. Stay blessed🙌🏾
You have said it all! No hard and fast rules. But I believe with love and communication in any relationship, you can navigate through murky conversations surrounding finances. Except you are in a ‘wahalaship’ like Olus said, then you are on your own 😂😂😂
Great video! I definitely agree with both of you on a lot of these things. Money is a really sensitive topic and I don't think I'll ever get comfortable speaking about it with a partner until marriage but maybe because I haven't met the right person.
It's important that there is transparency. You also need to identify each other's weaknesses. Who is better with managing finances, read finance books together. For us, we have a joint account that funds the family expenses, we contribute based on agreed rates . Then we have individual accounts where each person mind their own money
when it's genuine love some topics are not even discussed (like ok oooo "we want to discuss finance now") and they just flow because it's like you already know and it's just like that based on how you've been in the relationship, if you've been honest, talk about everything....Above all though, COMMUNICATION is very important in every stage of relationship from there comes a deep string of love and you know each other's perspective on issues of life
To marry just dey hungry me but I don't even know where she dey and I no get that strength dey search search.. My father my father bring my wife as you bring eve to Adam. Amen
I love how you are talking about this. So in my case while we were in Nigeria, I was working and we put all d money together and split bills and all but we came to canada and I had my baby almost immediately we landed and am not working right now. As am not working sef na me Dey control spending. So my husband comes home, I know how much he earns and I have already a plan on how much we spend and pay bills with. He’s doing all of the paying right now and we r both happy. Loosing job isn’t gonna be forever by Gods grace. It’s temporary, when I start working again, both of us resume paying d bills no issues. Like you said, it largely depends on the communication so if they have a pretty agreement whether loss or job or not, they will still be fine. My 2 cents oooo. It’s how you people r discussing money and r not stringing face. Some people go Dey frown. Omo life is not hard abeg
I don’t have a joint account yet but I am open to it soon so we are able to collectively save for our kids . We split bills too, tho he earns more so he pays more percentage :

Not married but I've thought about this too. What proportion of your earnings do you put in your individual account?
This to me is the best option.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This is on point!

You were dating a thief 😂😂
Your partner should be your partner in crime 😂
😂😂😂 Better Ole!
I understand having a sense of humor. However, the laughs seem inappropriate and forced at times. The laughing detracts from the overall message.
You are dating a thief o🤣😭😭
