About the Grateful Dead UA-cam Channel:
Will you come with me? Won't you come with me? There's no better place to take a long strange trip with the Grateful Dead than right here. We've got music from every single studio album and a bevy of live albums, to boot. There are celebrated live performances from the 70s and 80s and official videos with more skeletons than you can shake your bones at, an exclusive seaside series on what's to come from the band's rich catalog and details on meet-ups all across the promised land. If it's community you’re after, try your hand at our yearly DEAD COVERS PROJECT competition and connect with fellow Dead Heads around the world. Heck, keep your eyes peeled you might even catch a glimpse of Pigpen on keys, Jerry in a GROOVE, Bobby tellin' tales, Mickey talkin' space, Phil and friends, Bill on the beach, or anyone from our extended family.
It's all happenin' right here. Subscribe and you won't miss a thing.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to be in a bad mood when listening to and watching this. And if you are you won't be there for long. It's just IMPOSSIBLE. So much has changed with the world and really not for the better in my humble opinion. Although, one thing stands true. The Grateful Dead gave the world something very special. For those who understand no explanation is needed and for those who don't no explanation will do. Forever Grateful. Peace.
I LOVE how you can really hear the enthusiasm in his vocals here.. Jesus Christ I love that man...
He may NOT be “dead” neither!😂
Ya know?
'72 was such a great year!!!
About as fast a guitar solo you could find for Bertha. Love it.
My 1st Grateful Dead show was May 1977. Terrapin Station Hartford Ct show what a great year!!
Amazing love this recording of Bertha ❤
Jerry coming outta the gate with such enthusiasm!! Awesome voice and as everyone mentioned his almost 'tap' like solo.
This Bertha is as great as it can get
Dude, Skulls & Roses version is WAY better!
There's a very good chance! 😜
Baz this is def better than skull n roses
Yikes!! These kaleidoscopic tie dyes are a trip! Nice work!
Sounds great, looked great, it was great!
I miss those days. The best tiimes of my life.
I live in Veneta, Or and it's beautiful here.
Sweeeet! This is SO Fine. ...and, it reminds me of the 60s at the Fillmore. Thanks!
Wonderful!
Thanks for that!
Love this, takes me back to the Fox in St. Louis MO. Over 40 yrs ago. Where did the time go "What a long strange trip it's been"
Love this video. Music and Graphics are great.
blessed be and thanks for sharing
Was that really Jerry's guitar solo at 3:30? Wow...he was taking BIG chances then.
Inspiring to hear music that isn't so extremely buffed and polished and veneered to all extinction of actual FEELING. Remember when music lifted you up like this!?!?!
i said the same thing.
Jeff Moehlenbruck this seems to be during his transition from more bluesy approach to a more jazzy approach...really cool
You can hear he's really driving his vocals and they're just as stellar as his solos here 😉 correction, some of the greatest Jer vocals I've heard in a while 💃 💀 ❤
No that was tony iommi

I had a hard run, running from your window. I was all night running, running, running, I wonder if you care? I had a run in, run around and a run down, run around the corner, Lord I run smack into a tree.
"Timber!!"
Tally me up for the 100th Like, I love it~
I wonder...were these the same tie dyes that were on the speakers at Bolder? That was way back during the Europe 72 tour. There was an intermission, during which two refrigerator sized cardboard boxes were hauled out on stage and five finger lids rained down on the lucky crowd, until there was no more in the boxes. I know where that came from...hahaha
"five finger lids" Ha! Betcha lots of kids out there have no idea what that means!
@@quartzimaging - those were the daze. Breaking up chrome bricks making 3 finger lids for $20 leaving just enough for all of us to have on of 'em. Then we go out find friends, get in a circle, light up one of ours, pass it around, toke on one of theirs and rap our trips.
