- Happy new year!! 2018 has officially begun (and I feel like I've been waiting for this my whole life). Today I'm sharing my new year resolutions, 2018 goals and theme ✨ Feel free to share yours down below in the comments!

My theme for this year is: “Growth & Independence”. I’m 22 and I still don’t have my driver’s license or a car because of anxiety (I’ve been dealing with social anxiety for years now), I never even had a steady job before, so in order to be independent I have to face my fears in order to grow.
StarfleetOfficer Danielle omg I’m literally the same age and in the same situation, I get so much anxiety when it comes to driving but this year I want to really conquer my fear and just drive so I can get my license and eventually buy my first car. I believe in you! You got this!

1. Figure out how long it takes you to brush your teeth + floss + mouthwash
2. Find a song you love that lasts about that length
3. Use the song to time your brushing + flossing + mouthwash and you just created a pleasant routine!
4. For the future, enjoy the feeling of super clean teeth, use your tongue to feel the unique sensation and remember it when you feel less inclined to floss
I love it when people share their goals!
I want to prioritize my health over anything else, which, other than diet and exercise, also includes developing a regular sleeping pattern and getting all the doctors' checkups I've been putting off for months.
Another big goal of mine is to learn German, do a summer internship in an architecture office, travel to two new countries and go for an Erasmus exchange :)

Hi Aileen 💕 before i went to university, i watched your videos and i was inspired to live life positively. At the start till half of the semester i was really hardworking, i don't like wasting time. I sleep late, wake up early. But I stopped watching your videos later because i was too busy studying. However, when i stopped watching your video, I started slacking, didn't do my revision, spend more time on social media, sleep a lot more and my studies aren't going so well now. This is the first time i watch your video again. The moment i watch this, i realised its YOU who inspired me to do well in my studies, to be a better person and to achieve my goals. From now on, i won't miss any of your videos anymore.

Theme: Joy in the process. Simply, I want to enjoy the process and not worried about the "perfection" of it all. Learn from it. By the way, I could tell you weren't yourself. Take care of yourself. As always I enjoy your vids. Happy Lavendaire Year Aileen!

I've really enjoyed the fact that you make themes and not just standard "resolutions". For me, that really inspired me to look at some goal making ideas in a different light, especially since I didn't start off the year with my best self or best energy, but I'm slowly working at it. My first ever theme for the year is heal/rebuild and my first 2018 word of the year is stability (to find it again after losing it in November). Ps. totally loved the mention of oral care, I feel you! It is really hard to do at times, I'm the worst at it haha! (woohoo, my first ever video comment!)

Flossing tip : floss while your hair is soaking in conditionner! What I do is that I let conditionner sit on my hair, put a shower cap and get out of the shower to floss. and then i hop back into the shower to rinse off the conditionner! Hurray for clean teeth and shiny hair!!

My 2018 theme is Doing. I'm an avid overthinker, dreamer, planner (and anxiety-ridden human) and I find it difficult to actually carry out the tasks that can make my dreams a reality :s It's also in the present tense; I want to focus more on living in the now (being present) and just paying attention to that one thing at hand.

I can't get over how sweet you are. Aileen, you don't need to worry about becoming a leader, because you already are. First of all, I want to thank you for all of your hard work. As for this video, thank you for sharing your personal plans for the year, and for always being such an inspiration. Seriously, if ever there was an individual who leads by example, it's you. And since you're always so kindly asking everyone to share with you, I'll give it a go, even though I'm still pretty new to your channel. My year's theme is... Pending. I'm kind of leaning towards, "Expressing Excellence." I want to be strong and passionate like you, Aileen. Being excellent to those around me, to myself, for myself. Self love and care are two things you've really helped me with, and I'm already feeling better.
My biggest goal is to really learn to sew, and my second large goal is to draw every day. Sewing is something I've always cared about but was shied away from since I'm a guy, from Ohio, no less. Overcoming the fear of failure has been such a trial, for years, and yet within like two months of watching your videos I'm already making progress. I won't lie, I'm far from fabulous, but you're an angel, and have helped tremendously.
I won't keep you any longer, you have things more important to be doing. :) Please take great care of yourself, and please know how appreciated and loved you truly are. If I ever have the pleasure of meeting you, I owe you a big hug!

But looking at what I'm going to pursue in 2018, my theme is self-growth and organization. I love what you said in the beginning! I agree that it's seems like UA-cam and other media are now flourishing with self-help content. But I like to think of it more as individualizing our own education. Deep down, we all know what we want or need to succeed and thanks to beautiful people like you, you encourage and lead us to reach for those things by educating ourselves. These are things they don't teach you in school. But these are things that growth-minded people absolutely need. Thank you for declaring your goal to be more of a leader this year! I'm so excited for you and look forward to the content you'll release with that goal guiding you.
No matter what but every time I watch your videos it slows down my life. It is so peaceful no matter what the content it is! This has by far been the best 2018 goal video I’ve seen on UA-cam this month!! I floss but really got diligent about it when my bf moved in bc he does it every night so we just do it together and talk. If I’m alone, I prop up my phone or iPad up by the sink and play a relaxing song or UA-cam video I’ve been waiting to watch. 💜
Often I feel like videos like this can be really off-putting and kind of intimidating because they often make me feel like everyone else leads perfect lives and I am below them. BUT I loved this video! Being able to see a truthful, honest peep into someone else's everyday and long term goals is really inspiring and is encouraging me to try and work more towards solid goals and resolutions. So long as I don't over think them, and feel like they need to be perfect, I think I can succeed this year! Lots of love x
My theme for this year is "mortal body, timeless souls", i wanna continue writing my book and be more open to the world, talk more to others and finally learn to play the piano

My motto for this year is to persevere and explore! That means start being consistent with my habits and university, but also keep exploring and searching for passions and things I could do as a job or carreer, also explore myself, like my interests and personality.

My new year's theme is actually almost the same as your but my new year's theme is "spread light and love" bcos last year i realized how much the people and the world really meant and i think that i didn't show that...this year i just want to spread it all around and show that i really care and want to spread love and light 😘 Thank you ailleen for inspiring me through all this year...
