    Nice footage and commentary in your description. I like seeing the material being crushed and made into gravel or road base material. Looks so good going into the crusher, and I like seeing the output of the process, especially when the wheel loader scoops it up to be loaded and stockpiled. Keep up the good work

    That view from the back of the hopper where you can see all the equipment. Scenery at the back. Beautiful! Your equipment is nice. A lot of work to upkeep? My stuff is daily fixes. Skirting, flaps, welds on elevating wheel, things like that. I don't want them to get out of control, so I'm sure to check everything daily. Thanks for the video! Put a smile on my face to see it there this morning!

      Oh yes! There are daily fixes, and always on-going repairs. I don't usually video that stuff but maybe I should... we are down at the moment with a broken jaw for example

      @@JoeRockYT A broken jaw! Yikes! I had to change a worn toggle plate, that was trouble enough! It might be interesting to see the aftermath of the big breaks. Maybe not banging all the skirting down, but you never know Eh?! :)

    I'd like to see more of how the cone crusher works. Thanks joe keep up.ur hard work. Ur guys are right on. That loader operator feeding the Joe crusher sure seems like he knows the right way to feed it. Dump a little and paws and then dumps more. Thank u. Like I had said to a few as they sounded like grumpy old men that didnt get any the night before and just wanted to fight over how the jaw should be set. Lol lol

    I know this video is a couple years old but I’m wondering if you figure out why your crusher was bogging down?
    I have an R400 that started bogging down as soon as we would choke it. I’ll make a long story short. The pump that feeds the clutch was getting weak. I’m just wondering if you had the same issues or if was truly the material.
    BTW. I enjoy your videos. It’s nice to see a plant that’s well maintained.

      We make both, the 3/4" is more popular however.

    One quick question for the crowd: How does the loader driver know to wait? There's no obvious way for them to see inside the hopper, yet they'll patiently dump in parts. A mirror or camera wouldn't last long, and a viewing slot would get clogged. No beer-bet here, just general curiosity. Thanks!!

      Your loader operator is 90% of your bogging problem. He needs to let the feeder empty out more & not dump most of a bucket all at once.

    What is the jaw set at? Seems to me the jaw is trying to do too much of the main crushing. Try setting it at 6". That should help. Maybe talk to the dealer to see what he would suggest.

    • @BFRandall
      @BFRandall 4 роки тому

      I think it's the opposite. The jaw should be set tighter to allow for choke feed and take pressure off the cone, which is being overwhelmed. Choke feeding the jaw should reduce liner wear and increase net production

      @@BFRandall Doesn't it make sense that if the closed side setting is say 4" that production would go up if the closed side setting is set at 6"? If you also notice the cone isn't choke fed also.

    • @BFRandall
      @BFRandall 4 роки тому +3

      @@briangardiner1015 Many have commented in other videos on this crusher setup that the jaw feeder is going way too slow--that the bouncing rocks are tearing the liners up. Joe said it's set slow because the cone is being overwhelmed with oversize. To me the solution to all problems is to turn the jaw tighter so more rock bypasses the cone and the jaw feeder can be turned up to choke speed. That will reduce liner wear and promote rock-on-rock crushing, resulting in more TPH of finished road base. I think setting the jaws to six inches would have the opposite effect. But it doesn't matter what we think, right? I'm really enjoying Joe's videos.
