bro for real i youst to live in Texas im moving back next month and i came accross your video and that is my old fishing spot laterally like i didnt know until i started watching and i am looking at getting that kayak . cant wait to fish there again man i miss it so much dont ever move you will regret it!! then spend a fortune moving back lol
Lol when I was in high school, most of my classmates were like I cant wait to get out of this town not me I couldn't imagine living away from the sea 🙂
I actually got a local outdoor store thats carried Vanhunks since theyve made it to the US. Pedal kayaks were pretty outta my range until I found these guys, no lie. I'm about $300 short from walking in and buying. Glad to see others reviewing and truly liking them. Those South Africans, bringin the heat!
Yeah I had always had my 👁 on a Hobie Kayak buy way too expensive Vanhunks was jus in my budget at the time I didn't even know they existed until I walked in my local Kayak shop at 1st I thought 11' a lil short for me but in the end it all worked out 😊
Man bro I couldn't reconcile cost of 360 at retirement I could afford it but couldn't see myself paying 5 to 6k on any kayak. Van hunks was option but decided to get outlaw strapped a trolling motor to it boom also got a pond prowler 10 for those days where I don't want to just sit with bad knees it helps. Brother need to meet up with you someday to go fish I'm in S.A.Tx. I'm 61 Brother use to be super atheletic age and injuries kicked my butt.
I was a little skeptical at first with the Mahi Mahi as well, but for the money it's definitely surprised me. It even paddles well which is great, cause after you hit an unmarked crab pot like I did this past weekend, that's what you'll be doing the rest of the day!
great video! I can tell you played the same video games as me when you were younger, lol. Do you know if you can put the hobie 180 drive in this box? Also about the transducer port, its near the bow correct? Since theres no front hatch to access the wires though, seems it would be difficult to install?
Check out my Video on my Fish Finder install yes the transducer is on the bow I tryed my buddies 180 drive but didn't fit but that was on the old brackets Vanhunks use to use I'm not sure on the new box clips that I have now
I’ve been trying to comment but I guess I have bad signal, but I’ve been watching your videos for a while now love all of them! Ever since you got your mahi mahi kayak I’ve been wanting one, I finally placed an order lastnight from vanhunks website! Lol how long did it take to get to your home? I’m in CCTX aswell. I’m anxious! Lol gaaaaaaaaawdleeeeee
Well I never had to order one I actually saw the kayak on the show room floor here at Roy's Bait & Tackle I had never even heard of the brand till I 1st laid my eyes on it about 2 years ago I actually had my eyes on a hoodoo but that was when everything was backes up due to the covid I actually went back to Roy's and took a chance on Vanhunks Mahi Mahi and there was issues but they have great customer service and fixed everything with this kayak now I luv it
Great review and video. Love the old Nintendo references.
Thanks 😊 Kenneth!

Aww yes Seth
I hate the mahi mahi, rudder system is garbage.
I really never had a problem with mine it did untie itself one time it was an easy fix
Great review. Which ramp is that? Never seen it before.
This ramp is just past A&M College Corpus Christi before you cross the bridge over the Oso heading to NASCC

How much do you weigh? I’m just asking because I’m a pretty big guy and was wondering how stable it was for bigger guys.
I weight about 240 pounds very stable I can stand with ease

@@larasfishingchronicles9301 aaahhh ook ok nice. Yeah I’m definitely looking forward to finally have it on my hands. First kayak too. Thanks man! 🙏
You'll luv it feel free to ask me any questions when you get it
Great content, keep it up.
Thank you Alfred
The pro vanhunk looked pretty cool I can't lie . Seems they are improving all the flaws just like hoodoo good move for both companies
I had an Hoodoo Impulse on my radar but since this kayak was in stock at Roys I purchased it then and there to take home the same day
Dude I think Vanhunk needs to pay you for your box mod. And that was a awesome red sight cast.
I'm waiting for the phone call 😆
I have one. They do have great customer service 👍
