IS HIJAB REALLY OBLIGATORY? || Samantha J Boyle

- Hey my loves!! I hope this clarifies this entire situation for y’all.
So for every Quran verse, Hadith etc we should attempt to look not only at what it says at face value, but also interpret it with understanding of the context in which it was revealed and the impact the verses had on the people of the time.
There is clear agreement from the scholars on the hijab being obligatory. The general ayah governing the head covering is in Surah Al Ahzab surah 33, verse 59 where Allah azzawajal states, “O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to lower over themselves a portion of their jilbabs. That is more suitable that they will be known (as Muslims) and not be harmed. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.”
The word jilbab is one that is most often misinterpreted when it is translated. Without understanding the full meaning of the word, people could translate it to mean just modest dress. According to the Arabic dictionary, the word actually means khimar or headscarf. So here, this verse clearly says that we should wear it in order to be known as Muslim women and also to be protected.
Also in Surah Noor, Ayah 31, Allah azzawajal states, “And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision (i.e. lower the gaze) and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their walyathdribna bikhumurihina alla juyoobihina (meaning headscarf’s) over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.”
Also, what is referred to when Allaah says “except that which ordinarily appears," is clearly the face and hands. This is the opinion of Aisha bint Abi Bakr (RA), Anas ibn Malik (RA), Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) and Miswar ibn Makhrama (RA) - all companions of the Prophet (S). Almost every tafsir commentary on the Quran will include some if not all of these authorities for this opinion. & the strongest view is that the exemption refers to the face and the hands because a woman May reveal the face and hands in her salat (while everything else must be covered) In the context of the ayah, it confirms the practice of wearing the headscarf and covering everything else except the face and hands.
It’s also stated in hadiths that when this verse was revealed (al nur:31), it is narrated by Aisha (r) in Bukhari and it is authentic, that women at the time tore their fabrics of decorations from their clothes and covered themselves properly. Some people might be like “oh this is just their interpretation of the verse” but these are the early generations who heard and understood in a way we didn’t, and if they had of understood incorrectly then the prophet would have definitely corrected their practices. There is not text, Hadith or even possibly to even suggest that this might be speaking about something different. The scholars are in complete agreement over this topic. There’s no debate amongst them about whether or not hijab is obligatory or not, and they have agreed upon it from the time of the prophet until now, with no debate. Allaah knows best.

we spent 15 years to understand one verse of shakespeare and yet we think that we understand the Qur'an in 2 minutes. hmmm that was super profound masha'allah
But in the Qur'an it is written that "we have made it easy so that you can understand it" how do you interpret this verse & will you take another 15 years to decode this inigma.
I'm crying 😭 It's so beautiful listening to the truth in such a confident and straightforward way.
I am struggling with my hijab nowadays and this helped me a lot. Please make dua for me to stay strong...
Donia so am I but this scholar explains really well this it is recommend and suggested but not required. This is a very educated scholar which I have been following. @@marliesbaker7001 Salam, sister. As muslims we shouldn’t search for one opinion that is different to all others but follow the most authentic one, supported by MOST scholars. Hijab is obligatory and many consider the niqab to be obligatory too. We shouldnt purposely try to find loopholes. May Allah guide you.
You should do TED TALK about Hijab's being obligatory with these facts and profound explanation sister. May Allah reward you.
It's not obligatory. If it was, it would clearly say so in Quran. Key word clearly.
Alpha Dog but it’s vague and really just depends on your understanding
Not to be judgmental but a lot of people keep saying "it's a cultural thing". We should all read the Quran in translation so we can actually understand the content.
@Alpha Dog Hadiths are irrelevant unless you actually believe that nonsense. The ayah most quote in the to justify waering potato sacks was situational advice not a general guideline and applies to 'hijab' as a divider in living space 'a veil/curtain between living room and the private space. The actual ayah that talk about women's dress code does not mention covering the hair.
The idea is actually "modesty", not really sure how wearing a burqa was concluded from the ayat.
Jazaki Allahu khair sister Sam
I was born into a conservative Muslim home Alhamdulillah. And your videos are so comforting. In this day and age so many people come to question the values we were raised with. I don't care about the views of non Muslims and islamophobes about Islam because their opinions don't matter. It's the uninformed fellow Muslims who can cause so much doubt and confusion. This goes to the issue of hijab, makeup, eyebrow plucking, music etc. Thank you for being so strong so others would be inspired. I'm inspired.
I had a bad hijab day today, you know when it kind of twists and chokes you a little. So I went to the college bathroom to fix it and then the adhan from my phone came on. I had to run out😂
I only started wearing it in April and I'm SO fricking happy. Were not forced to wear it but it IS obligatory to wear it the Khimar etc. That's what people need to understand and I had to humble myself and understand it.

Misguidance is easy..finding the truth and staying upon it is a blessing and a rare blessing
Suhanallah very well explained mashaallah! I just wanted to add that people argue that the term hijab was ordained only for the wives of the prophet, and that is technically true because in the Quran “hijab” literally is a veil, like a dark curtain that separates and prevents from seeing through, while today the term has been commodified to mean headscarf. In the Quran, headscarves are referred to as jilbaabs, and the one I’ll focus on- khimaar. Linguistically khimaar means something which originates on the head and flows down, similar to a goat with all white hair except for its head and neck being black. This definition is also supported by the remnants of the word in other parts of the world the Arabic language reached back in those times, like Somalia. In Somalia a headscarf is a khimaar, and most accurately, the one piece you slip on (again like the goat). This term is known to have meant headscarf and that is ordained for all believing women, so when you hear someone arguing that hijab is just for the wives, tell her she is right, but that the definition of hijab in modernity has evolved to be a synonym to khimaar and she is required to wear the khimaar.

Please stop generating Lies on God & Quran .
To those who say , "Headcovering is Mandatory" , please do not put lies on the Creator. Read along to know the evidence.
👇
No where in Quran has God instructed women to cover their hair. Nor such statement can be found by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Say "Do you see that which God has provided for you, you make some of it Unlawful (Haram) and some of it Lawful (Halal)?" Say "Did God allow you to do this? Or do you tell lies about God?"
[Chap 10: Verse 59]
Wearing a headcover is not Obligatory. It has been interpreted wrongly to make it appear so by the Saudis & Iranian theologians.
This is very unfortunate that the Patriarchal interpretation is being imposed.
It is doing no justice to what actually God had said in the 7th century to the 7th century Arabians
God has no where mentioned this nor do we find any source from Hadiths where Prophet has instructed women to cover their hair. In fact many other scholars have mentioned that in Hadiths they only find it as a cultural practice not something that Prophet ordered it to the Arab ladies.
Overall "Modesty" is the key.
And covering of the chest is what God had said in Quran to the Arab ladies who already wore Khimar as a part of their customary dress which was also worn by idol worshipers .
In Chap 24 Verse 31 , He had revealed to Prophet to tell the believing women that their vulgarity was obvious if they did not cover their chest , so cover it with the Khimar that already was worn by even idol worshiping Arab Ladies & other non-believing Arab Ladies since it was their customary accessory of their cultural norm dress worn by Arab ladies of Jahilia time.
By classical scholar , Muhammad Asad , a Austro-Hungarian born Muslim journalist , traveler r, write r, linguist , thinkerv, political theorist, diplomat and Islamic scholar. Asad was one of the most influential European Muslims of the 20th century.
His Translation 👇
Al-Nour (The Light) - Chap 24: Verse 31
" And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and to be mindful of their chastity, and not to display their charms [in public] beyond what may [decently] be apparent thereof; hence, let them draw their head-coverings over their bosoms......"
the Arabic word Khimar ( Head Cover) used in the Verse 31 , is a headgear , which was worn by the Arabs even before Islam came , it was a part of their ancient desert dress , which was used in protecting from the extreme hot climatic conditions of scorching heat wave under temperatures of 42°c & 45°c which the desert dwellers were expose to .
And the Creator uses the word Khimar because Arab women of Jahilia time were already wearing it . Hence Divinie specifies its correct utilisation that is to keep their Chest covered with it .
The instruction is not Hair Covering or Head Covering by Divine but the chest covering . That is the difference brought forward .
The object of the 7th century is mentioned but its specific utilisation is emphasised .

He has only instructed women to cover their chest along with over all modesty.

Please refrain from Wahabism doctrine preaching . It's the most Literalist twisted interpretation attempting on women as a by product of their political statements.

Wearing the hijab is obligatory but it is NOT obligatory for a Muslim woman to cover her stomach and back in front of her male mahrams. 🕌🕋
I see certain female muslimah UA-camrs saying that the hijab is a cultural thing and not obligatory etc. It hurts me so much because they influence others and people into thinking it's true. They are basically trying to put their own opinions into it and that's just not right. Who are we to have an opinion on what the creator has stated. It's just upsetting. Also whenever someone mentions the truth they are classified as the haram police which is just crazy to me.
I get that there are some Muslims that really judge others and are rude etc but when there's Muslims who are genuinely giving true advice they get called the fricking police.

ma Sha Allah! exactly what I was looking for to show my sister who is very confused about the head covering. JazakAllah sister.
The Quran only tells believing women to draw their khimar/headscarf over their chest 24:31 and to not display their adornment around certain men. If you read that verse in its context it talks about being able to relax your dress code around children who do not know the sexual aspects of women. It is obvious adornment means sexual body parts such as breasts, butt and thighs. Hair is not a sexual aspect. The verse also says not to walk in a certain way/strike your feet to make known what you conceal of your adornment, obviously about showing your figure off by walking in a certain way, sticking your stomach in and butt out etc. Before prophet Muhammad pbuh most women covered their hair because that was cultural but they wore it in a way that left the chest area uncovered. The Quran simply says to use the headscarf to cover the chest area. Today most converts around the world do not wear a headscarf before they convert, there is no command for them to cover their hair at all. It's clear the dress code is to dress modestly, if some feel more comfortable covering their hair there's nothing wrong with that, but to say it's a commandment is untrue.
then what’s the point of calling it a headscarf if it is only to cover adornments?

Why The women, at that time, had to be knows as Muslim in order to be safe? Why not just teach not to harm any women?
Nowadays headscarf is not protecting you from anything, if you were to be harmed you will regardless if you wear headscarf or not.
What about situation where wearing headscarf’s can actually expose you to danger (e.g Eastern European countries). God prescribed this rule to protect women, sure not to put them in danger, so how applicable is that teaching for a women living in a islamophobic society ?

I have been thinking about wearing the hijab and I've had conflicting feelings, i was afraid and this helped me and gave me confidence.
i’m now considering it but i’m very hesitant.
@@Zara-er3xn I actually wore it in Ramadan :), I'm very happy with my decision indeed but you have tp give yourself time to think about it before wearing it :)
I liked the video and comments. It was very informative. It was recommended by a friend who has been Muslim for a year because I am studying at my own pace and do not wanna be misinformed. I am open minded and I can see both points of view and proof/examples of everyone side.
This topic has been a constant struggle for me. Thanks for this really informative video.
May Allah have mercy on you sister.May Allah make you means to guide our other sister. Alhamdulillah very nice
Alhamdulillah, such a beautiful explanation with references. May Allah SWT rewards the sister immensely. Keep spreading the knowledge you have been chosen to give.
Have you done a video about self-confidence as a Muslimah? I need something mainly about wearing hijab and finding work ect
I have!! Might benefit you InShaAllah but I also have another video about hijab coming within the next few weeks that should benefit you as well so keep an eye out for that! The first video is SELF LOVE, MODESTY & HIJAB ua-cam.com/video/mHbm8DwKAd4/v-deo.html
something that the most people ignore , covering the head is even mentioned in the bible : corinthians 11:6
The ted talk was ridiculous. She just worded it to suit her own argument because she doesn't want to wear hijab. I sat there listening for a few minutes before I turned it off when I could correct almost everyone line she was saying. Great video Samantha glad someone cleared this up for Muslim women who were confused.
Women used to have their chests exposed in the middle east, that's why it says to cover your chest. It doesn't say cover hair. It means use your clothes to cover your chest. It is simply mentioning to use the style of clothes women wore back then.
And besides this it is said 'that is more suitable that they should be known and not harmed'
I don't understand how some people understand from' it is more suitable/ it is more likely ' being an obligation.
Let's take an example:
Studying a university degree is more suitable/ is better to have let's say.
Is studying a university degree obligatory?
No, but it is better to have. But there is no problem not having it.
yes i was still waiting to hear the hair needs covering. i liked her other videos but maybe this one was lacking due to biases. and also the verse also says it is so they indentify as muslim and actually in order for to differiant them from the believing and non believing women
As'salaamu'alaikum, May Allah(swt) guide, protect and bless you always, Amiin! Eid Mubarak from Singapore!
WalaykumAsalam, Ameen & the same for you! Eid Mubarak!
That ted talk she mentions really did throw me off the hijab path. I had to study a lot deeper before I was able to psychologically move on to wearing the hijab.
Jazakallah khairan for this video!!!!!! It's really an excellent reminder for all of us
❤️ May Allah bless you and your family
Wearing the hijab is obligatory but it is NOT obligatory for a Muslim woman to cover her stomach and back in front of her male mahrams. 🕌🕋
That TED lady forgot that Mary (Mother of jesus) always kept her head covered
honestly i was confused for like 2 days because of that ted talk video , ty for this !

masha allah, may allah continue to guide you
I don't like how you just bluntly say it's WRONG as if you have the ultimate truth.
kenleul hmmm
Fiqh is clear in this case its the truth. Accept it or not
Maashaa Allaah ,pass my salam to all ur seblings, and we will make dua for the rest to join in shaa Allaah
Wearing the hijab is obligatory but it is NOT obligatory for a Muslim woman to cover her stomach and back in front of her male mahrams. 🕌🕋
Sister I am not going to go in depth why Hijab is not obligatory, It is an opinion of some scholars which was dictated by their environment and society.
There is a context behind the "hijab" but it is not obligatory, now if a woman want to wear it, I have absolutely no objection, but for anyone to claim that this is actually a decree from Allah, is disingenuous, dishonest, or uneducated on the topic, anyone who studied Islam from all aspects would come to realise that the Hijab is not compulsory. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever, there is a historical context that has been kept buried by some out of ignorance and by others with an agenda.
...May Allah guide you with proper aqeedah.
Wearing the hijab is obligatory but it is NOT obligatory for a Muslim woman to cover her stomach and back in front of her male mahrams. 🕌🕋
Do you have any advice for sisters struggeling with wearing the hijab
I should have a video coming out soon about this InShaAllah
If you wear hijab you'll be known as Muslim woman and you'll be protected for it? Really? Tell that women who are consistently in fear whiles wearing a headscarf outside somewhere in their cities
I am very scared of wearing it, bc where I live, hijabis are targeted, hated and often verbally and physically attacked. I am so so so scared of becoming a target. Can anybody give me advice?
Don't worry my sister Allah is with you, I wore the hijab when I was 16 and now im much confident and stronger against verbal abuse and i love myself more. I don't care what others think about you, Alhamdulillah Allah swt surrounded me with beautiful people and he helped a lot in life because i accepted to wear it. Allah appriciate our efforts and rewards us in beautiful ways Alhamdulillah.
May allah guide you inshallah
P. S I live in France where there is a lot of Islamophobia but hamdulillah Allah helps me a lot
I honestly just want to thank you and really let you know that you helped me so much. I’ve been trying to understand this verse for the past couple of days. It’s so crazy how I found this video. I really think it was a sign from Allah because you answered everything I was questioning. Thank you so much. I definitely subscribed and liked. May Allah bless you! I hope to learn more about my religion Islam! Ameen🤲🏻

No it's not mandatory in Quran exept danger situation and the choice is yours.
Only to cover private parts is Mandatory check Surah Noor 31.
Stay blessed . 🦁☘️
You are wrong it's mandatory the sister even showed proof in the description. Read Quran may Allah guide you stop being ignorant dear.
This woman has her head screwed right ,woman must take knowledge from her and stop defending your personal desires and heed Allahs call

May Allah honor you and raise you amongst the people, who were on the path of haqq and called to it. BarakAllahu feeki, dear sister, for speaking the truth with actual knowledge & wisdom.
Thank you for this video. I have been struggling with hijab for a few years now and have my times where I want to remove it and looking for any video/excuse but could not find any valid reason but your video is very encouraging so thank you.
This is disgusting. Women can wear whatever the bloody hell they want.
Subhan Allah I'm so happy you talked about that Ted Talk.
Just found your channel and I have already watched all your vids. Keep up the great work 💕 also just the first ayah of Surah Noor explains that it is obligatory to wear the hijab
JazakAllahuKhayran for your sweet words 😊💗
I liked and loved the clarification that you have said sister , thanks and IN SHA ALLAH our muslima sisters will follow the right path and obey it.
Allaah(swt) knows best.
Thankyou so much,, jazakallah I've been looking for this x
How heartbreaking that sisters are mislead by other women than following Allah and the Quran, hence, reuniting as an Ummah. That video cut me due to how mislead people and how everyone believes her 😢
I'm one of those who watched that the video two years ago and I fell for it. Unfortunately I took off my hijab. It was a phase I blv was necessary for me to go throu. Alhamdoulillah I put it back on. I genuinely didn't feel comfortable whenever I went out or smth. It always felt wrong Subhan'Allah. I'm wearing it now and forever Insha'Allah 🧡 may Allah guide us to the right path.
Ameen Ya Rabbul Alameen
Such an amazing young women with strong faith may Allah be with you enshallah happiness and health will be with you. Amazing and so strong!
Salams Samantha,
As a revert to, I am in two minds about this.
I have read alot into this topic and at the end of the day we are saying
“ scholars agreed that this is mandatory” but then the obvious question has to be asked….
Why are we listening and following men who are NOT the messengers of Allah SWT?
When the words of the Quran are already clear and perfected….
Quran also warns us of false hadiths and messages from those are NOT messengers/prophets of Allah
[7:185]
“Have they ever reflected on the wonders of the heavens and the earth, and everything Allah has created, and that perhaps their end is near?
So what message after this 'Quran' would they believe in?"
[45:6] "These are the Verses of Allah We recite them to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His Verses will they believe?"
We didn’t need help interpreting adultery, gambling, murder, alcohol etc from the Quran because it’s clear, just like the verses of modesty, it’s clear…..
Which is what?
For BOTH the believing men and women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts..
Allah swt knows the past, present and the future, that’s why gambling was even mentioned in the Quran as being sinful,
even though back in that time there was no casinos or poker machines, Allah knew there would be in the future so it was mentioned in the Quran..
If Allah knew more then 50% of his divine creation (humans) would not be wearing the scarf fast forward 1500 years or having this controversial debate don’t you think he would have warned us in the Quran the importance of covering the hair, and at least the punishment for this?
No where in the Quran you will find this clear information or a punishment for a woman who does not cover her hair ….
When committing sin
ie. zina, murder etc…
both men and woman are held equally accountable in the Quran and also in the sharia law…
I find the Quran being FAIR and JUST for both sexes, as it should be, I find the Quran saying that haram is haram for both men and women and halal is halal for both men and women….
The dress code is EXACTLY the same when it comes to being fair and just, so tell me why do the believing men not wear their outer garments on their head to cover their hair?
Even though It was reported that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) wore a Yemeni burd (cloak) and a green burd and he wore a jubbah, qaba' (overgament) at that time ?
Scholars have confirmed the dress code of our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW, and still no believing man dresses like this unless it’s on a Friday ? As it’s “sunnah”
Don’t you think the covering of one’s head is sunnah for both men and women then???
To my next point,
You had made some references from the Quran with some text out of context…
You mentioned at the start of your video the first verse
Al-Ahzab 33:59
“O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized ˹as virtuous˺ and not be harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Point one: do you notice at the start how it actually says “ASK” and not tell ?
Asking is giving the free will and option…
Telling is a command
Asking is an option.
Point two: draw their “cloaks” not the word jilbabs like you had said in your video.
Point three: both men and women would wear cloaks, khumurihina, khimar, covering ( outer garments ) what ever you want to call it, at this time and it WAS a part of their culture for many reasons mostly being that it was the most appropriate thing to wear for the environment that they were living in the desert involved sandstorms, extreme heat, dust etc.. list goes on…so yes, a cloak/jilbab etc was worn by BOTH genders as a “norm”
I understand and appreciate your argument here but how can be sure what the actual definition is, to make our own assumptions that Allah “meant” covering of the head to, just forgot to mention it?
Like how can we say this?
Are we really over here preaching what Allah actually meant?
When we also say, Allah makes no mistakes?
Then to go on and spread DAWAH like we know 100% ?
It is not allowed….
We are not allowed to lie..
It is our duty to spread the word of ALLAH SWT, and the words from the actual Quran…
What I see nowadays is those spreading the word of scholars who are mostly men and their interpretations, which is wrong.
I would love to see what the world would look like if the scholars were predominantly females…..
would the rules and laws be the same as they are now?
* “The Word of your Lord has been perfectedin truth and justice. None can change His Words. And He is the All-Hearing, All- Knowing.” (Qur’an 6.115)
Let’s also not forget this authentic Hadith
* Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and deeds.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2564)
So why as Muslims are we more focused about the outer appearance when it should our hearts and deeds?
May Allah guide us.
Excellent explanation, may God reward you sister.
It’s ironic how some people call her oppressed for wearing hijab and call nuns pious for the exact same thing. Many hypocrites in the society we live in today.
Wearing the hijab is obligatory but it is NOT obligatory for a Muslim woman to cover her stomach and back in front of her male mahrams. 🕌🕋
Ma sha Allah, I love your personality and content sister, keep it up! ❤😊
Subhanallah, may Allah reward sister, you are brave like few of us. Your explanation is crystal clear. I love you for the sake of Allah 😘😘
My motto when going out if you can't pray with it, Can't wear it :)
100%%%%%
THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE👏👏👏👏👏 I dont get why its even controversial tbh, it actually worries me. I love how you actually go by the quran and sunnah as opposed to those who try to find reasons as to why its not obligatory. You're absolutely amazinggg❤
Alhumdulilah!! Thank you girly 💗 may Allah keep you firm upon the truth.
I really wantto know about this. I am thinking to wear a hijab but i wan't to know if it's an obligation. I want to wear hijab for Allah and no one else and so this is really important for me.
My sister, its mandatory inshallah Allah will make it easier for you ❤️
Agree 100%! Obsessed with your videos lol also what about showing a really small portion of hair at the front of hijab? Say you didn’t wear the under cap and some hair is visible, in your opinion is that allowed?
No sister that is not allowed, nothing of the hair should be visible at all. May Allah SWT make it easy for you
Yeah that’s also not permissible although it’s a common trend nowadays
Yeah I thought that too. Thanks for the info guys!
Can i ask why? :)
Sarmin Pro it would be similar to wearing a short t-shirt covering 99% of your stomach area, but then the t-shirt being a tad too short meaning a bit of the stomach is visible. Essentially, it just defeats the whole purpose. If you are going to wear it you should embrace all of it, no point half-arsing it... sorry for the vulgar language. Its in my scottish blood lol 😂
I have had the feeling to wear hijab for a while. Today i bought myself a scarf and a tie cap. As i came home i put on my scarf and i felt like it didnt suit me. Looking in the mirror i feel like its not me, as much as i so want to wear it. I then started looking at if hijab is compulsory. I came across this video and i feel a lot better about wanting to wear it
you might want to read about why the hijab verses were revealed in the first place. They were revealed to protect the wives of the prophet from harassment when they go out in the evening to answer the call of nature ( urinate).
Check the hadiths about Sawda and Umar ibn al khatab. The veil was used to distinguish between free women and slave girls. It was a social marker used to protect free women. I know that your modern way of understanding veiling is related to spirituality, modesty and God , but the historical facts show that it just had a social function in a society in which slavery was the norm and there was a complete lack of safety
I appreciate your approach being historicist .
Potraying they know the best is their worst knowledge
