Thank you! And that really depends on your price range and what you're looking for. No worries! They will give you a sneak peak of the meal plan breakfast on the last day of orientation and that was basically the reason i didnt get a meal plan. It was gross imo. On the other hand, if you cant cook (or dont like to) or if you just want a lot of food constantly the meal plan is prob perfect for you. Hi, great video! I am thinking of studying in the United States as a foreign exchange student, I'm a resident of Denmark. So since I would know absolutely nobody coming there, I wanted to ask about how easy it is making friends on the campus. Is it just a big classroom where nobody talks to anybody and people go straight to their next class, or is it more welcoming in that aspect? Thanks for the great video! :)
hello! feel free to dm me on insta if you ever wanna hang out at FSU! i think the classes varies. I have been in classes (30 people large) where i met some amazing people and we study outside of class and are friends and in other classes (200 or 300 people large) where people dont talk to eachother. A great way to make friends is through clubs!! My friend is also an international student from brazil!
@@onlypamcakes thanks for the reply! I'd love to hang, but you sadly might already be gone by the time I come, since I still have to finish my high school in Denmark. Thanks for the answer nonetheless, FSU is definitely high on my list of potential universities I might go to. :)
Are you allowed to own dogs on campus like if you live in a dorm? Or are they just allowed on campus but you’d have to be living in an apartment to keep the pet.
i dont think you can keep pets in your dorm maybe if theyre an anxiety bunny or something but i would check with university housing. But, if you live off campus youre allowed to bring your dog to campus people walk them all the time around the school and play frisbee or have picnics with them on Landis
I am applying as a transfer for next fall, what are my chances of getting in with a 3.8ish gpa? Do the SATs matter? because my sat score was prett low (1100) but I am debating on whether should I take it again.
Hi Pam.. I’m from Dubai..United Arab Emirates...excited to be coming to FSU in a few months...I’ll be doing my Masters in International Affairs...are there any think tanks in Tally that I could work with
Do you think people at TCC get the same social experience as the students at FSU? I’m in the Tcc to FSU connect program and I’m super nervous about friendships and stuff
I think this is something really important to consider! I would say, from what ive seen, the experience is not the same (keep in mind that i dont go to TCC tho!) tcc social life is A LOT smaller than fsu bc its a smaller school. i think it may be hard to find friends at first bc a lot of the students there are commuters. I recommend that you go to fsu events! a lot of tcc students go to the fsu parties and its a good way to meet people. Also, join fsu clubs! Ik some people that arent even in fsu but theyre involved with some clubs which is the best way to make friends. Follow some fsu clubs on instagram and check when their first interest meetings are, usually people will have kickbacks and socials (:
Since you don’t have a meal plan, what is eating like for you?? i’m really conflicted ab whether or not to get one and i find it pretty confusing... also, with parking, do you drive to classes?
LOL i get so happy when i meet broward people here! I live on campus so i dont drive to classes, next year ill live off campus and will take the bus which is v safe+efficient a lot of people choose that option since parking is impossible. As far as eating, i usually eat breakfast in my dorm (yogurt, toast, smoothies, anything easy) and then i either go to my bf house for lunch or dinner since he lives off campus and has a kitchen, and then i eat a snack or something else if i need another meal. Sometimes if im really hungry i make eggs in the dorm kitchen. Theres a kitchen on every floor of every dorm so cooking is an option if your fridge has space for it (fridges are tiny!!)
theres pros and cons to both. Socially, I met some amazing friends in the dorms (that im still friends with!!) but, if you get involved on campus, you can still make friends living off campus. Some of my closest friends are freshmen that decided to live off campus this past year. I made a video about dorming, it really just depends on the person and what conditions youre okay with living in!
Leah Clayfield he’s saying if ppl think having “too much diversity” is a con.. that’s a bad thing.. because it is that’s lowkey racist😭. but But the lady in the video said the con for her was that there was no diversity at her school that’s a bad thing for her bc she rather be around those a lot of ethnic ed and hers mixed together. a lot of people would. but the racist ppl would say “they don’t like having too much diversity” if that made sense
Imagine the backlash someone would get for saying “yeah the only problem with this school is that there are soooo many black ppl 😑” hypocrisy is a funny thing

What do you think about the filmmaking MFA? Is it good? Is it one of the courses that you think it has more diversity?
Hi Pam.. I’m from Dubai..United Arab Emirates...excited to be coming to FSU in a few months...I’ll be doing my Masters in International Affairs...are there any think tanks in Tally that I could work with
Why are you comming to Florida when you are in Dubai!!! You must be not okay 😂😂😂
How was it
Hi, I'm Panamanian and I'm seriously thinking about getting into this university, I don't know if you could give me advice or something. C:
take the SAT or ACT for sure! Idk about how its like for international students but try contacting them on the fsu website, good luck!
Are you going to the campus in Panama?
for an international do u think FS i is good? are the people friendly or?
very helpful video !!
Since you don’t have a meal plan, what is eating like for you?? i’m really conflicted ab whether or not to get one and i find it pretty confusing... also, with parking, do you drive to classes?
also woooo go broward!! 954 LMAO
I’m from Broward too what part are you from? I’m from Deerfield beach
love that! i went there for my drivers exam lmao im from pembroke pines!
Pam Acosta I am from Pembroke Pines too! Any chance you went to west broward High?
@@zanna2679 lol no i didnt!
U talk fast
I thought they had great nursing and health/medicine programs?
i like ur makeup!
is the psychology program any good?
Adiana B yes but it's limited access I think
For an incoming freshmen do u recommend living at the school or outside ?
theres pros and cons to both. Socially, I met some amazing friends in the dorms (that im still friends with!!) but, if you get involved on campus, you can still make friends living off campus. Some of my closest friends are freshmen that decided to live off campus this past year. I made a video about dorming, it really just depends on the person and what conditions youre okay with living in!

in case you wanna check it out! i hope it helps your decision to make your freshman year awesome!!

Listen to her statement about the diversity and replace white people with black people in your head...
There was literally nothing wrong with what she said.
@@leahclayfield7271 would it be ok for there to be a con for too much diversity?
MrSupercat48 Having different mindsets, culture, and ideas to share and contribute is bad thing? Disagree.
@@leahclayfield7271 that's an opinion. Some people would think of that as a bad thing.
The comment about trump supporters is a pro to me
KWEEENNNNN 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Imagine the backlash someone would get for saying “yeah the only problem with this school is that there are soooo many black ppl 😑” hypocrisy is a funny thing
Awww poor Johnny
@@theflash9693 u r a racist too
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You can tell she's an SJW. Proof? 11:31
I mean she stated a fact lol. The school is majority white
