Jenna Miller hi! Sorry if I’m late to answering this :( but honestly I don’t think any are bad besides salley! If anything I would look and see which ones are closest to the classes ur going to be taking! & I think the possibility of getting a single is pretty close to like impossible, because they only reserve certain dorms for freshman to pick from & all the rest are full! They actually had to start turning people away from housing
What’s provided in the suite dorm? I know you get the mini fridge provided but that’s about it right? I know you need to buy your microwave. Do you need to buy a shower liner and decorative curtain and a shower rod?
Aliyahdin Mcfee yes so pretty much what they give you is the bed, desk, drawers, and mini fridge. I brought my own microwave & everything for the bathroom as well expect for the shower rod! It comes installed in all the bathrooms
How likely is it to get the 4 people dorm at McCollum? Like how quickly does it fill up? I wasn't seriously considering going to FSU until recently because my ACT came back as a 30 lmao and now it's actually attainable, so I'm doing a ton of research before applications open up
Are you able to choose a specific room once you choose a Hall? Is it the same for an LLC Hall? I got accepted into the WIMSE LLC so I think I'll be in Cawthon but would you know anything about room selection there?
I lived in an LLC and as a sophomore I got to pick my exact room in the music LLC at cawthon! I think first year they assign everyone based on roommate number preference, but if you stay a second year you can request a room specifically!

Caitlin Volante of course! so basically what any semesters cost consists of is: housing, classes, & food. Housing for summer was about $1,300, 2 classes are about $600 maybe a little more, & then food is depending on how much you eat tbh. I would say it costs around $500 for the summer semester. I hope this helps!

I would do the contract just in case! There’s a deadline of when u can withdraw & get your deposit money back. It’s just a safe guard in case you actually like living on campus because I really do!
Hi!! I got accepted and they're already asking for dorm contracts. (Sorry if you've answered this before) but is it better to fill the contract on the randomized days or the priority? I assume the random days have numbers reserved like let's say 1-4,000. Would priority continue on from those numbers? Like after the 3 days it starts at first come first serve but starting after 4,000?
ᄉsharon Hey! Yes it’s better to do on the randomized time because you automatically have a chance of a higher housing number. & yes after the 3 days it’s first come first serve starting from whatever the last number is for the randomizes section! Hope this helps!

kyelove hi! So summer C is awesome for getting to know the campus & classes and just the way around school in general! It gives u a head start before thousands of kids are on campus at a time. The only down fall is there’s not much to do since such little people are on campus but I think it’s great to get a feel for college!
The showers are in between 2 rooms. Sort of like a jack & jill. And in each room are 2 students. So essentially the dorm bathrooms are shared between 4 people
I know that only virtual tours of the campus are being offered at the moment, but can I drive through the campus without a tour and will I be able to walk around the campus if not a part of an official tour. Do I have to show proof that i'm a student or not? Thanks. TGS
I've never lived off campus so I don't have much experience with it. But i do know that it gives you bigger rooms and your own space. The closer your apartment is, the more expensive it is (can be as much as $1,000 per month). The one this I personally do not like about living too far from campus is the need to find parking to go to class. Parking is a mess when it comes to finding a spot before class, so you may need to leave really early to give you time to find parking. But ya! That's pretty much what I do have to say about off-campus housing :)

This year they actually made the FSU contracts binding so if you signed a lease and did a dorm contract you were stuck paying for both
