  • Here's how to set up the FLVS-ADV sensor on your Tandem Recruiter and X-20 Radio. This applies to Access receivers and the other Tandem receivers and transmitters as well. I also show you how to hook up two FLVS-ADV sensors for 12s setups.

    As a newbie to ETHOS and FrSky, this video was super helpful on many levels. After reading FrSKY's latest X20 User Manual and the Instruction Manuals for the FLVS Lipo Voltage Sensor and the TD SR10 receiver, I had no idea that to get the lipo sensor to display on the transmitter I had to (in my case )reassign the Channel 10 port location of the receiver to being a "pin 10" S.Port (Smart Port) by enabling the connection on the X20R transmitter or how to do it. Yes, the receiver manual did say the 'configurable 10 channel ports are a big feature" but gave no hint on how to... Covering 'port morphing', Telemetry, Special Functions and Logic Switches all in the same video made me really appreciate your work and how powerful this system is. Thanks a lot!

    Some of the menu options have evolved (in particular the play value configuration) but still a very helpful video, thanks!

      Yeah, firmware v1.5 and above changed a lot of things. My newer videos usually say v1.5+ to let you know these are with the newer firmware

    Nice video. I set mine up to look at the individual cells rather than the total voltage. I set it to warn me if any cell goes below 3.60V with a time delay.

    Thanks for the great video, the multi-lipo calculated sensor tip will make battery management much easier. Strange that the S-Port on the receiver doesn't work get your stuff together FrSky.

    Make sure that your Tx and Rx have both been updated to the latest firmware or you may have issues finding the Lipo sensor.

      Yep, true. I did a video on updating firmware on sensors, receivers and tx for those looking to learn.

    If you change the sensor ID and then you move it to another receiver later will it stay changed?

      It's been a while since I tested that but I believe it will. The id stays with the sensor if I remember correctly

      I don't see why not. I haven't used the 40a current sensors but the 160a sensors work the same way with ids

    Are you sure you can use 2 sensors for 2 6S packs connected in series? With previous gen sensors this wasn't possible since they had ground connected to - of the 1st cell. Connecting 2 sensors to 2 packs in series shorted one to ground and burned traces/wires.

      I've been doing it with these adv sensors without any issues. The sensors are isolated so it works just fine

    Can you setup vibrate on the Low Voltage alarm so i can listen to music via Bluetooth headphones?

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  10 місяців тому +1

      Yep! Go through the same process to set up the alarm but under special functions, instead of PLAY VALUE, choose HAPTIC. Everything else is the same. Give it a try. If you dont get it working, send me an email at all.rc.air@gmail.com and ill do a step by step for you.

      You should be able to but i honestly haven't tried. I use my old radiomaster radio for sim. I might give it a try and if it requires more than just plugging it in, i might make a video on it.

    If you use 2 lipos in parallel to get more mah, rather than in series to get more voltage. will you set it up the same or different from series?

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Рік тому

      I feel that the multi lipo calculated sensor is designed mostly for series setups as the lipo widget also shows total volts. If I was to use parallel batteries with two lipo sensors, I would do everything in the video except setting up the multi calculated sensor. I would have the two sensors displays. One that show lipo 1 and another showing lipo 2.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Рік тому

      I just reread your question. Not sure if that was a typo, but you don't use a voltage sensor for consumption. You'll need a current sensor. Frsky makes a 150a current sensor that works well for the big EDFs

    great video. im having trouble adding a 3rd sensor (GPS) when i do, one of the lipos dissapears even after i changed the id of one of them.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  Рік тому

      Hmm. That's weird. Different types of sensors have different default id's so it usually isn't a problem. I have one setup with 5 or so external sensors without an issue. What sensors are you using?

    • @all_rc

      Should work. Perhaps start from scratch. Try hooking up the gps first. If that shows up, then add one lipo sensor. Change both id's of that one lipo sensor like in my video then add the other lipo sensor.

    Why are you running down your batteries so low. 3.2V is not good for Lipo batteries.
