I love these types of videos because it gives me so much inspo. This was such a nice transformation!
Wanted to help share some tips based off your video [sorry if these are already known]:
- you can click the item name under the picture of it to find other items in the set instead of typing in the name on the search bar.
- Art supplies are in the hobby section
- There is carpet in the surface areas category [under Dev]. Works the same as panels/tile
-Toys are in the hobby section
- You should be able to change your field of view in settings. Doesn’t fix all the issues but it helps.
So glad I found your channel! It’s so cool to watch someone whose actual job is designing homes play this game. I love House Flipper 1 and I’m excited for HF2 coming to ps5 this month. I love design, so this has quickly become my favorite channel. Thank you so much! Oh, I also loveee the Minecraft vids!

minus the few issues you had, its a very lovely build, i love the colours that you chose. the bright blue is an interesting choice but it certainly breaks up the colour variations. considering what you started with its a great turn around. The catalogue of furniture choices even build choices like the doors and windows seem disappointing for a game such as this. You would think it would have a expansive catalogue to cater for lots of different build styles.
In rooms where you find a light too bright, change the style of the light and turn down the brightness

You and I have very different design tastes (I like old styles, closed floor plans, no wasted space, etc.) but I still enjoy your builds. It's very interesting to see how you design, especially since you're a designer IRL.
Actually because of that, I have genuine question for you: Why do so many people put the main closet access in the bathroom? Especially when it's clear on the other side, that just baffles me. And beside the toilet, too! Do people like moisture and potential smells in their closets? Do they like having to walk through the bathroom to get your clothes? I don't get it. Has anyone ever explained their reasoning for it to you?
Anyway, seeing how you transformed a style you didn't like into something you did while keeping a similar vibe, I was thinking you could do more like that with other styles? In any mode. Like how would you redesign a classic Victorian into your style while keeping that vibe?

Long response incoming lol: I don't know if you are in the US, but the houses I design and the clientele usually are people that have busy lives and work schedules. so they like having the master bath and closet together that way if one of them has to wake up, lets say at 4am, they don't have to disturb the other person by opening doors and having lights shining into the room. The toilet thing has really no "moisture" issues. Code requires us to have a 50 cfm exhaust fan in any space that is a toilet and any space that has a shower, so even if the toilet is in its own little space, closed off by a door, that is zero moisture. It does however keep smells confined to that space as the exhaust fan removes it. so that is a benefit.
Hope that explains a few things. I'll see if anyone has a Victorian in the mods section and maybe i'll transform it.
