Great to see others travelling for photography again. I've not got the confidence to leave the UK and travel just yet because of the pandemic but I can imagine how exciting it will be when I finally do. The cheetah images were absolutely stunning! Will look forward to the next episode!
Fantastic to see you doing travel trips again.. but it was depressing to grasp that you haven’t seen greg in two years or did these photography workshops !! That aside, love the photos & Namibia. Let’s never take life or travel for granted again 👍
It is so great to see you back out there traveling again and hosting photography workshops at the same time! I know you did the astro photography one in Portugal back in the summer, but it is cool to see you back out there like before 2020. I've seen your past Namibia content, but it looks really cool even today!
What a journey to get to the location but its great to see you doing what you love again, looking forward to more from this trip , enjoy and take care !
On the one hand it feels so long ago but on the other hand it feels like we just got back from there. Those cheetahs were definitely one of the highlights of the tour - I could've spent the whole day in there with them 😃
It puts a smile on my face to see how genuinely happy you seem to be when out travelling and taking photos. You can tell a difference in your enthusiasm from the videos back during lockdown. It sure would be nice for the pandemic to be a thing of the past and if or when that happens I hope we all remember to be more appreciative of “normal”. For a long time I’ve been saying that recent generations for most people have been pretty lucky vs our grandparents generation with world wars and the depression in the early 30’s, so I guess this is our look back moment to reflect and appreciate what we have and how to move forward. Sorry this comment got a bit carried away from me just saying that Brendan looked happy 😂.
@@elizabethedwards3687 hey that’s awesome, I hope you got some great photos! I always wondered how a photo tour would work and if you’d get to do or see enough things while in a place that you might never go back to? Could be the complete opposite and maybe you end up seeing a more genuine version of what the country has to offer and in situations that you might not get to see it otherwise, like the nighttime photos he referenced in the video.
@@elizabethedwards3687 he also seems pretty down to earth and approachable , if you needed help in any way he doesn’t seem like he would be a snob and look down his nose at you.
Oh wow those cheetah pics were awesome! Glad you’ve managed to do a trip back to Namibia- and awesome beautiful place that I’d have loved to have gone to while living in South Africa.
Good to see you out and about on a workshop at last and boy what a place to start with. I'd wanted to go to Namibia after seeing an amazing Deadvlei panorama image back in 2007. Then finally in late 2018, after numerous cancellations, I finally got to spend a couple of weeks there. Boy what a place! Everything I'd expected and then some. A photographers paradise. I know what you mean about the Quiver Tree forrest too, quite overwhelming at first and difficult to isolate good trees. It takes a while to get your eye there. Great video and I'm really looking forward to seeing more Namibia!
Good to see you back on the road BvS and loved the astro image, it was stunning. In response to your pinned question, next for me is London. Not as exotic as Namibia but just being on a trip is good enough for me at the present time
Was this shot with the R6? I noticed quite a bit of focus pulsing is that something you’re dealing with? Great to see you back out there traveling. Stay safe.
Greg Snell may disagree with you. I know that when you did this the new variant wasn't known yet but I think that you may have the cart a bit before the horse. I don't think we will be as closed down as we were but I'm pretty sure we will have some more quarantines and restrictions for the foreseeable future.
So glad you are managing to get out to do the stuff we love so much ! How are you finding your anxiety? I had a massive panic/anxiety attack over a month ago and trying to come to terms with what the hell happened.. slowly getting there but the first week I couldn’t even walk to the letterbox without thinking I was going to have a heart attack :( brought some new filters before that so desperately wanting to head out to capture some sunrises/sunsets which was a normal thing to do daily before this “thing” happened…. Have fun and greetings from NZ ! 🤗 📸
The US, Canada, UK, and multiple EU nations just imposed travel restrictions to or from Namibia and a number of other southern African countries because of the Omicron variant. Stay safe out there!
Gosh I can relate with the traveling, not yet for me. What do you think about Ethiopian airlines? I felt the staff try really hard and are super friendly, but the planes terribly old!
Thanks Brendan for the Vid. I surely appreciate the time taken out of your busy schedule to give us a glimpse of your trip. I certainly feel like I'm right there with you. I don't know if it was my stream but I did notice some skipped parts or frozen parts of the video. I didn't get to see the image of you at lodge, it cuts off at the Cheetah image frame. You're the man. Thanks again. Eric V @velaphotoz
Thanks for the response. I enjoyed it more once I watched it for the second time and was able to see you without a hat and the missing lip balm. Thanks again for your time.
Not so sure travel photography is back again. Just look at the latest travel bans and restrictions being put in place. We still have a long ways to go before travel gets back to some sort of normality!
Yup. And it's impressive day in and day out. I think my flights were about 28 hours total. So i definitely appreciated people that do this every day. Also, in my coffee shop I'm wearing my mask about 6-8 hours a day, so I'm more used to it than most.
Great video, I have been to Africa three times, your video brought back great memories and the hope that one day I might get back there. Your love for the beautiful land and the animals was inspiring, looking forward to your next video.
What's your next travel photography destination???
Just got back from Lewis & Harris and several days being drenched! Challenging to say the least.
Iceland
Amorgos, Athens, Astypalaia
Probably just staying in Canada, will try B.C./Vancouver Island...if the flooding didn't cause too much damage.
🤞Iceland
Brendan. Do not apologise for being successful. You earned it, so enjoy it.
Welcome back to our Southern Africa wonderful wildlife world.
Thanks, looking forward to the rest of the Namibia trip.
Good to see you back in travel mode ... fingers crossed we all continue to slowly take steps back into the light ....

So excited to see this content finally up! This trip was awesome and I am feeling nostalgic. Namibia is simply EPIC.
You kept us waiting for this one but it was worth the wait. So great to enjoy those experiences again. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Sorry! The next one literally comes out tomorrow though. Lol

More to come! Thanks a lot :D

Back doing what you do best and having a great time doing, look forward to more like this

It's great to see you again on the road! I'm in Gran Canaria, so I am discovering new places for my photography. I must-see island! Be safe!
I hear it's beautiful! Just had some friends there, and Jodie has been a couple times!

Just back from the Redwoods in N. California, off to Utah this week, then Norway

Back in the saddle again, eh? 💪 🥂

I love this video. Almost makes the world seem normal again. Hope you didn't catch any new Covid 19 variant while there.
Hey Brendan, question for you, when you travel like that, do you have a client to sell your photos or videos already ?
This was a workshop i was leading. But normally i have a client I'm working for when i travel like this.

Yikes, I hope it's only your video. No one else has mentioned it, doesn't seem that way on my end. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for the head's up.

Isle of Skye next March....hoping for 3rd time lucky as previous 2 attempts scuppered by Covid.
First comment? Welcome
Back man!
Thanks!! And, here's 2138713 points!
I’m assuming that you’re using the Canon R6 for your photos?
Not usually, R for photos R6 for videos
Forget the Landscape photography. Develop the wildlife photography. So much more interesting and better by far. 😉. F

But you cannot travel there anymore?
Sadly, not for a bit. This was back in October.
There were some truly beautiful images at the end and a fantastic night shot as well. Can't wait for what is coming next.

Nope. But luckily this was 2 months ago now!
