That place is wild! I have been to quite a few ghost towns in the American West, but never one that was drifted in by sand. Thanks for sharing such an incredible location.
I can easily see why the last image is your favorite. The smoothness of the sand and the over-all composition truly make it an eye-catching photo. Plus, you an’t go wrong in an old, beaten up, structure.
Haven't watched the video yet (in my list to watch hungrily in a couple of hours), but two BVS vids in one week, what a treat! Always love your content and love waking up to see a new video from you drop in my subscriptions list. Excitement. Thanks for sharing your adventures. :)
Another stunning location , and to be able to shoot at sunrise with just your group must have been great to do. Some fantastic images really like the way you process them, that last image at 11:27 really was nice , looks such a great place to explore. Really liked this one mate !!
Definitely a location where you would want a zoom rather than a collection of primes especially on a windy day like you had. I can't imagine taking off my lens to switch to a different one under those conditions. Yikes!
Also, an internal zoom like the Nikon 70-200. I used one on a similar day in Great Sand Dunes and got terrific shots without destroying the lens. I would not have wanted to risk an external zoom in that environment.
loved it there. Had a great trip there in 2018 and 19... I was booked for January, the Sigma 150-600 ordered for this year's trip just showed up today... after Omicron closed things down again - typical :-/ The B&W of that long corridor is so stark and different - aggressive and harsh vs soft and eery in colour. Did you walk along the ceiling beams in that 2 story house that is separated off from most of the others?
Depends on the location and the shoot. I feel like most of the instruction comes before a shoot at a location, and i don't want to hijack their creativity. So I'll usually walk around and see what they're up to and guide them to improvements.

This place is so magical
Look at you, rocking that Northwest Territory hat! Great video as always, Brendan.
Good to see you travel again, some awesome shots, thanks for sharing Brendan.
Thanks for watching!
Really liked the B&W shot looking down a hall. (5:08) Great light and shadow leading your eyes.
Thanks Greg!
Another amazing place! Seeing only a brief flash, I’d have been tempted to spend some time shooting the sketched face on the wall at dawn.
This was an absolute playground for light and composition. Must RETURN! Love your new comps BVS!
1st comment on a banger video? So glad you’re out and about again after travel restrictions have begun to ease up!
Thanks! And here are 497363 points for first comment.

Such a cool place to go there, that special permit is worth its weight in gold for the compositions you can get 👍
Good to see you back in travel photography, amazing place. Well done for finding different compositions
Thanks ozi!

Happy to see you back traveling again, and wishing you all the best for Christmas
Same to you!!

Was this a workshop? It appears you were traveling with a group... Great adventure!
That place is awesome, I could spend days in there and still find something new
Always epic, always! Thanks.
Loved the video almost as much as I loved the location!
THANKYOU...
Sun Stars 👍👍

Thanks Lee! It's a special place for sure!

Dopeee
Another amazing reason to visit Namibia. Question. How do you deal with the blowing sand getting into your equipment?
Would love to photograph this spot!
It's such a good one!
@@BrendanvanSon Also, great shots. That last one is pretty special.
I would love to go there one day
I like cool stuff😁
Yeah, cool stuff is cool.

Shame to hear. But you'll get back put there soon!
Yeah, I've crossed the beams. But not on this particular trip. That is a cool spot!
2:18 Unlocked truck - Your in the middle of nowhere was it in any way realistic that someone might steal your truck or stuff from inside it? ;)
So Cool! What's the story about that gost town?!
There's a diamond mine there. But over time, people have left the desert and moved into the city (10 minutes away)
Is this where Tame Impala got there album cover from???
Do you teach/instruct the people with you or do you just take them to a place and let them loose? In other words are you working at a "tour guide"?
