I had a new $700 dryer in my online shopping cart. I couldn't bring myself into buying it without attempting to try and resolve my own issues first. I googled my dryer's model# and symptoms. I came across this video. I watched through it's it entirety and by the end of it I had ordered the replacement part for $20 on Amazon instead of the new dryer.
I referenced this video and another while I disassembled and re-assembled my dryer. Both yours and the other provided valuable insight and unique tips.
You helped me and my wife save hundreds of dollars. Thank you soo much!!!

Bro this video helped so much!! God bless you man. Saved a dryer for me and I overcame my fears too and compliance repair which is an industry that I want to get into. This was my first wack at it and your video was a big help. You walked through the whole thing 😁👍🏾

Im about to tackle this same project. Before I dive into it, I'm lost on how the belt gets reattached?
Right now my dryer is DOA. Got power, clicks, doesn't spin. Belt is loose, but still in one piece. Ordered my parts today.
I just wanna disassemble/reassemble once, but the reattachment of the belt has me lost as it's not shown.

Dude thanks for the vid my exact model too, but dang you missed the main element of the whole thing, installing the pulley assy, routing the belt to it, the positioning of the drum which side goes in front or rear and how to put the front parts back on.

Thanks for this post. It was so helpful. My issue wasn’t the same as your repair. I had a thumping sound in my 5 year old dryer. Since it was out of warranty I figured I’d disassemble and see if it was anything obvious like the belt misaligned bumping into something or a ball bearing that was getting knocked around.
I was about to take off the four hanger screws and my wife said... “whose phone is that?”
It was an old Samsung flip phone. I was about to call Samsung and complain that one of their assembly people left a phone in my lint trap and it finally fell into my blower.
After sending a pic to my dad he said... “you found my old phone from ten years ago.”
What we think happened is that my mom gave that old phone as a toy to my daughter who is now 4years old. And maybe when she was like 1 or 2 years old and didn’t know any better she slipped it in the lint trap when we turned our backs to empty the filter. 🤣🤪🤣
The dryer is back to running silent. Thanks for your helpful video to my not so typical repair.

Crow Wick, glad you were able to get your dryer to run quiet again.
Kids do the darndest things! I’m dating myself here, but I remember when VCRs were the thing and read an account of a child putting a slice of pizza into the VCR slot thinking it was a microwave... haha. Anyway, thanks for your comment and comical anecdote. Glad the video helped ya, even if it was in a left-handed sort of way. Happy clothes drying!...

I’m honestly just here to see how your spade connectors are connected to your heating element. I have that same model dryer and forgot how the cables were connected to my heating element. I couldn’t find any schematics or videos showing how they are supposed to be connected

Lol. That was the hard part. He said it was noise but nah not quite . It's a struggle unless you have a larger opening at the rear which his model doesn't. He probably was kicking himself.
Shameful that he didn't show it! That would help many

Man, just trying to figure out the orientation of the spring and out of all this detail you don’t show how to put the spring back on… dammit in to another video

    • @littleredtoolbox7850
      @littleredtoolbox7850  Рік тому

Hiya Jim, sorry about your frustration about the spring installation. Nobody wants to watch a long repair video. I figured there were other videos better than mine that DIYer’s could watch for belt and drum issues. Pulley replacement quirks and issues were missing from other videos that I viewed. So in the interest of time, the details of the pulley failure was the only thing I was covering at the time. Let me know if I can help you get that spring attached. Thanx.

Good until getting the belt reattached to the pulley. Only got a 4” hole in back of dryer to work it blind.
