You should have taken the drum all the way out. It’s quite easy once you’ve disassembled the door and front. You just have to release the tension on the pulley and slide out.
Use a painter tool to luft front of lid. Phillips for Almost all screws. The rollers have sintered bushings. #2 Robertson for tensioner. If the wheels aren't yet flat, Lubricate with graphite And rebuild
Thanks! I just did this, the kit was $50 in Canada from Amazon, but still cheaper than a new dryer. I’m so proud of fixing my dryer on my own! (40 year old woman)
Repairman said it was too hard and suggested I buy a new one. I said, “hold my beer” and watched this. 2 hrs later and $34 dollar part? It works fine and $850 bucks saved. Thank you.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU, it is exactly what I needed. The repair shop told me it will cost around $350.00..LOL forget them...$37.00 dollars later all done...and I'm a grandma. :)
These are so easy to work on. I had to replace the idler pulley, but once I had it apart, I replaced the rollers and the belt. Runs like a new dryer for 50 bucks.
You didn't need to remover the hinges for the top. Just lift up and tilt against the wall. Put it down when you want to unscrew the rear bulkhead screws, then tilt back up. Replacing the rear studs for the rollers is just as important as the front, because the old one are worn and will destroy the new rollers.
@@MuellerMechanical Did you put wheel grease on the rollers? I want to buy the set from Amazon, but am concerned because A LOT of people said the rollers disintegrated after a short time.
Man I just came back to say, this is the best DIY video I ever seen! My dryer is so damn quiet right now! Thanks alot man!!@
this is the video i need! i surely will be doing mine ASAP!!!

Look online for parts under: what lube for dryer rollers, replace them when they really do go bad.
Use a paint stirrer to prop the hood

How did you find this on Amazon I’ve searched forever with no luck
Anyone know what the name of the kit is on Amazon or have a link to it
How did the kit from amazon hold up?
Still working great on 5-2021, so going on years now.
