If you dont get natural light in your room you can buy a lumie alarm which has a sun light that gradually gets brighter as the sun would if you had a well lit room. Its also really useful for the winter even if you do have a normally well-lit room.

This came up right when I needed it thank you!!! I constantly felt myself waking up super late and then going to bed late because I wasn’t tired because I only woke up a few hours ago, and it was just one big vicious cycle so I’m ate,prong to just force myself to wake up early even if I’ve gone to bed late so that I will be tired enough to sleep early and wake up early naturally, if that makes sense? For me getting out of bed because there’s always a pile of tasks that i planned out and sleepy-me doesn’t want to know ath about it. It helps just getting out of bed and put clothes on and drink a warm cup of tea. It’s a step forward to stand up at all 😊
Getting a smart light bulb that connects to my echo dot that automatically turns on has helped me wake up so much better. I have it set that the lights turn on before my alarm and brighten as the alarm time gets nearer, which helps me wake up more naturally and now the alarm sound itself is just to get me out of bed.
I do that with my LED lights 😂 I set my alarm for 15 minutes before I have to get up so I can turn the lights in dim and turn the heater on them I go back to bed. Then in 15 minutes when I have to get up it's easier

I definitely always say "I want to get up earlier in the morning" or "I think it'd be fun to be a morning person" but it consistently does not happen each summer that I say it!!! I love the idea of reaching for water instead of the phone immediately, I definitely want to try that, as well as setting up specific things to do in the morning to motivate me to go to bed earlier and not hit snooze in the morning! I noticed that the times I did that it definitely helped so I'll work on continuing it haha 💗💗💞💞💝💝

#5 Yes! Sometimes I'll drink over a whole water bottle throughout the night. Then, I'll use the bathroom before bed, and have to get up sometimes twice in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. 😅 And still have to use the bathroom when I wake up. But at least I'm not dehydrated.

My work schedule definitely plays a big role in throwing me off my whole self care routine. I open at 9am twice a week and the rest of my work week is evening/night shifts so I'm tired all the time. 😭 I want to be a morning person so bad but this kills me all the time. If you are into reading you should try using that to get out of bed. I keep my book in the living room so that I have to leave my bed to get to know what happens next in my story. If you do try this I recommend reading before bed or close to it. You should also try using a friend or family member for help in getting up early. If you are in college plan to meet a friend for coffee at 6:30 every morning or meet up to study or work out. I find that this is something that really helps me because I always have to be early or I feel like I am late.
another tip from my personal experiences: if u plan to move soon, try to get a great view from your bedroom so that you see that beauty as the first thing in the morning (it motivates me)

A reminder to everyone: Try not to do anything but sleep or have sexual activities in your bed. You can relax before be on the couch or in a chain with the light dimmed then head to bed when you think you are sleepy enough. If it turns out you were wrong and cant sleep after 20 or so minutes, head out of the bed and back to that comfy space to relax a little longer. (This is good advice I have heard from doctors)
If youre worrying about silencing your phones, most have a feature where you can allow certain calls through or allow calls through after you've been called a certain number of times, so you can still be reached in an emergency. Edit: Lol just realised that she mentions this in the vid

I'm gonna try to sleep at 9 pm today, I get up at 6 and usually fall asleep around 10-12 I need around 9 hours but have been getting about 7, I'm also gonna start closing my blinds because the cars pass by and cause alot of light, I'm gonna keep a light near my bed so I can turn it on, I've been changing my lifestyle so that will probably help me sleep too, I'll update tonight around 7 because I won't use screens after

My body clock is very random. Either tired or awake and then in bed I wake up at a random time. For example I've experienced that I woke up 3 times. around 2,3 and 4. And then on Saturday when my head and my brothers head landed on the pillow. BOOM GOT KNOCKED OUT !!!!!!!! This morning I was super tired and the most tired than my brother and something that IS SO ANNOYING. I was the first to wake up. As if me and brother's head was on the pillow got knocked out at the SAME TIME therefore a few seconds difference apart but I was knocked out 1 sec apart from my brother and got energetic even though I'm an early bird and my brother is an night owl because usually once he's awake he NEVER GOES back to sleep again which makes sense because he's a light sleeper. I have both aa few early bird tendencies and night owl tendencies too.
