    I could care less if a video is edited or polished as long as it's real and helpful. You always deliver both.

    I love the sweet image of your youngest child coming to pick a book just about the size he is. LOL The pictures that are those large books are the best. My 3 and 5 year olds lay on their bellies and look at each picture one at a time. Just thought I would share that sweet thing I saw!!! Everything is really coming along Shayla.

    Hi, I really liked this video. I like your down to earth style and that you show the mess and struggles as well as the joys. It's encouraging to see real life. Other homesteading/ homeschool channels polish their videos so much . They make their life seem like a fairytale, then I feel so down about my own household mess etc by the end of it.
    Bless you.

    I use orange peels to make cleaner also. My fave is lemon and cedar vinegar I make from scratch. Heidi at Rain Counrty Homestead has instructions. It's divine.

    I could be wrong but I THINK peroxide has to be kept in a dark bottle to maintain its disinfectant properties. A while back, I wanted to do the same (put it in a spray bottle) but read somewhere that you shouldn't. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
    Yes. I went and googled it. If it gets too much light, it turns into water. Wanted to share that so you guys don't get sick.
    I love your lemon/vinegar solution. I did this years ago and I miss it. I think I'm going to try it again ❤

      @mountainmamashome  Рік тому

      Thank you for telling me, Jennifer! I do keep mine under the sink in the dark, and we go through it so quickly. So far I've not noticed it stop fizzing but I actually need to get a new spray bottle as this one broke down. I'll get a dark one next! I'll have to share that info with my audience too! thank you again!

    I feel like my grandparents and great grandparents and probably people in many other countries use natural simple things like lemon and vinegar but that just hardly at all got passed down to our generation. (Im close to 40 too) I’m excited to try that; cleaners are so expensive and smell so strongly!

    • @mountainmamashome
      @mountainmamashome  Рік тому

      I agree! And some chemical cleaner fragrances are so strong to me to that that make me feel sick!

    Sourdough, kombucha, grains, essential oils... your kitchen looks like mines. If you're in the market for a grinder, look at the Mockmill. I'm not too excited about my Nutrimill, I wish my flour was finer too. I used the Mardels last year, this year we are trying Sonlights.

    • @mountainmamashome
      @mountainmamashome  2 роки тому

      Awe, that's awesome about your kitchen, I'm so glad you found me here! I AM in the market for a grinder, I've been reading reviews lately. Thank you for the tip! Can you share with me what you don't like about the Nutrimill?

      @@homeschoolinthemountains7936 I just read a review saying that Komo make a finest flour, even more than Mockmill and am trying to decide what I'm going to do, lol! They are both so expensive!

      Hello Kari! I will keep including a little of the gf sourdough journey in upcoming videos :-)! Here's an af link for you to the baskets and shelf, amzn.to/3bd3YE6 (baskets) and amzn.to/3BqTMT1 (shelf). The shelf is a little lightweight and each shelf can only hold 11 lbs. If I were you I'd shop around for a sturdier one maybe?
