*NEED HELP???* _This glitch is still working. I will put [PATCHED] in the title if it ever gets fixed by the developer._ For anybody not on PS5 or 2.6 seconds is not working, follow these steps to figure out the exact amount of time you need to wait for *your console* A wrong warp occurs when the game is closed right before the fast travel is finished loading. Every console or PC is different thus the amount of time you need to wait before force quitting can differ for everyone. 1) Warp from the Azula Outlook to the Round Table. 2) Use a stop watch app to record how long it takes from the moment you press confirm of the fast travel till you arrive at the Round Table. 3) Now take a few milliseconds off that time and that becomes your new target amount of time to wait before force quitting your game. _If you are still at the lookout location then you force quit too soon_ _If you are at the Round Table then you force quit too late._ -- *What if I can’t force quit fast enough?* If you find yourself appearing at the round table hold no matter how fast you force quit. (For instant, not waiting at all and immediately force quitting) this means your console is running very quickly and faster than you can force quit. The solution is to add background tasks to your console to increase the work load on your cpu. This will cause your game to load slower and give you more time to quit out. This background task can be as simple as downloading a game / update or uploading a long video to UA-cam or a message chat.
After an hour of trying last night I got it. Holding ps5 button AS SOON AS Loading screen shows up worked for me. Not before or after. Then do option and close app asap. Do not wait.
still works as of 10/23/24. PS5 = You just mark the round table site of grace and as SOOOOOON as u you see the load bar move hold ur PS button then hard close the game from the home screen. Fail proof.
As of Wednesday, July 17th in 2024, this still works. A very easy method for my fellow PS5 players is to warp to roundtable hold, and once you see the loading bar begin to move, IMMEDIATELY hold the home button and exit the game. Should work every time.
Real big thanks, i wanted to get to Crumbling Farum Azula for a few items without having to burn my maiden and the erdtree. Took me about 6 tries to finally get the wrong warp to happen. still works currently, 12/22/2022
Still works as of 2024/7/12 on Ps5 Warping to Roundtable Hold takes 2.7 to 2.9 seconds for my Ps5, i found it to be consistent within this range. Just speedrunning my way to NG+7
If there’s anyone still having trouble with this, I used a metronome app for my phone to do it. Set it to 20 for 3 seconds and 23 is close to 2.6 seconds. Match your warp to the first click sound and you app close to the second click sound.
Still working on Xbox One, February 22nd 2023, patch 1.08.1! Note: I'm playing on Xbox One S with the game installed on a Samsung T7 SSD, so the timing may vary if you have another version or have it installed on internal or other storage. Here's what I did: Portal to Farum from the 4 belfries. Fast travel to Castleward Tunnel. Open the Xbox menu, press options on Elden RING, then press and HOLD! A on the quit button. Wait until the loading bar does its final, small jump from around 90% up to 99%. From this moment, I waited exactly 2 seconds (timed this with a stopwatch on my phone) and released the A button. When I reloaded the game, I was in the starting area of Farum and could simply sprint to the first grace. The timing seems to be between when the loading bar hits 100% and when the screen starts to fade. For me, it takes 2.5 seconds from the final loading bar jump to when the screen fade, so the timing seems to be around half a second before the fade starts. Hope this helps someone!
Appreciate you helping out the Xbox users. This showcases again that each user needs to use a stopwatch app and time their attempts. Even between different versions of the PS5 there is a time shift. Keep trying everybody.

Not a dumb question. Many have been on a quest to unlock every area of the game without killing a single boss. Many areas of the game have what’s called a “default spawn location” so when the game looses track of your location for any reason, it knows where to place you. This is why wrong warps and invasion wrong warps work. Unfortunately many of the underground locations have their default spawn location either bugged where you spawn bellow the map and die or you spawn in a generic location like Siofra River.

Just worked for me on patch 1.16, i had to wait slightly longer than 2.6 seconds, and i read that they "patched it" so i literally just threw out a last hail mary attempt before giving up and it worked. The trick is to just give up hope of ever achieving it
Guys, PLEASE, say what youre pressing. I got there, I confirm it work in may 2024, then i died. Wonderful. Now I cant do it again. Your restart screen is different from mine. I press PS button, then down, X, X, down 2x to Close game. Keep getting roundtable. SHOW IT IN REAL TIME AND TELL US WHAT YOURE PRESSING.
I see, maybe try teleporting to a location that has more assets to load thus taking a longer time. Round Table is pretty small and loads really fast. Somewhere with a big view. Perhaps the lakes or Limgrave. Another option could be to try and give your ps5 more data to process. Try uploading a large video to a friends chat or UA-cam and also download a game file. Good luck! June 9th, did it on PS5 after a _lot_ of tries!! 🥳🤯 I had to close the game at pretty much exactly 3 seconds, which was more 2.8/9 because I get panicky and it takes a millisecond. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID IIIIIIIT!!

Thank you for this. I just managed this on my first try (12/28). To be fair, I did practice force quitting a few times before bringing in the stopwatch. It should be obvious, but make sure to back up your save first. Corruption is unlikely but not impossible. Cheers

I’ve been trying to do this for hours. It’s almost impossible on ps5 because it’s complete guess work. I’ve tried at least 50 times and just can’t get it. On PS5 you are unable to record your Home Screen, so I simply put a small image of it in the video to represent going to the Home Screen. As soon as you press X to warp, press and hold the home button to get to the Home Screen.
This is a PS5 tutorial. The Xbox load times are different than the PS5. If you want this wrong warp to work, you’ll need to use a timer on your phone to narrow down the window of time you need to wait before closing the game. Start with just timing how long it takes for the xbox to load when warping to the round table without closing out the game. Say it takes 4 seconds to go through the whole load screen. Next trying quitting out at 3 seconds. If you are still in Farum Azula then 3 seconds is too fast and you know it’s somewhere between 3 and 4 seconds. Now you just gotta start trying 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, ect. Let me know if that helps (:

Also try doing it offline so that your Xbox isn’t trying to communicate with any online features like downloads or uploads. That could be adding potential load to the cpu and making your window change.
Is this patched? I heard you have to go to castleward tunnel instead of Roundtable hold but I have been significantly struggling with trying to warp with the castleward tunnel strat

This may be true for you but everyone’s console is different. That’s why I recommend everyone use a timer to help narrow down the quit out window of their specific console.
What if i finished crumbling azula before even entering the royal capital? Do i now have no way to enter the snow area? I am on ng+ and would gladly enter the snow area instead of going ng+ again but the way seems to be blocked off.
There is a way to wrong warp to the mountaintops but I’m not sure if it’s possible if the capital has turned to ash. Some UA-cam searches should give you some answers. Good luck (:
When you need to quit the game, you must do it from the home page. Best way to do this is on your controller hold the PlayStation button, then hit the menu button, then X There is no faster option.
I’m not sure. But the round table is a relatively small zone to load. Changing to somewhere in the open world may increase the load time thus it may take 2.8 or 3 seconds for the quit out. If you experiment, post your results here (:
@@RisageYT i was speedrunning a 3rd play through for the platinum. had already defeated Margit, Godrick, Renalla, and Radhan but stupidly consumed their great runes for levels. you need at least 2 great runes to enter Lyndell so i had to use a shortcut somewhere because i didn’t feel like fighting Mogh and Rykard
Hey R&R. You’re attempting this on a PS5 right? There are a few different models of PS5s out so your times may vary. Start with just timing how long the load screen takes to get to the round table. Say it takes 3 second… now start quitting out at 2 seconds, if you are still in Farum Azula then 2 seconds was too fast. Now try 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, ect. If you end up at the round table then you went too slow. Document your times and it’ll help you narrow down your window. Let me know if that helps (:
Just getting to the option to close the game at the home screen takes more than 2.6 seconds! Do you suppose that while I’m trying to get this to work a video on how to warp to Mountain Top of the Giants will appear? The good lord knows I need bell bearing 3!
Press and hold the PS button on your controller, that will get you to the Home Screen faster than pressing it and then navigating to the home icon on the quick bar. There seems to be interest in that wrong warp. I’ll put it on the to do list.
Ok. I pressed and held the home button. Then I clicked the option button to give the option to close the game. By the time I do that the stopwatch says 4.3 seconds. I think I need to practice closing the game without looking at the screen. Just whip through the actions by memory and focus on that stopwatch. Yes, if you would do a video to the Mountain Top, that would be amazing and greatly appreciated!!

Yo im having issues with this one. Idk if im missing something or what.. ive closed the game 1-4 secs and i keep loading at crumbling but not the entrance. Even if i let it load to where im at the round table and close it, it puts me at that cliff but not the entrance.. i tried resting at the grace and not resting at the grace.. no matter what timing its not working….

My friends and I have done this wrong warp on a dozen characters with no issues, however any time you force quit a game there’s a chance of corrupting a save.
That means you quit out too early. If you are using a timer and quit out at 2.6 second, start trying 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, ect. If you start showing up at the round table then you are now quitting out too late. Keep trying, you’ll get it.
The tutorial doesnt make any sense for me When do I have to go into the main menu? When do I time the 2.6 seconds? How did you get instantly into main menu instead into PS5 menu
Use a stopwatch app. Force quit at 4 seconds. If you are still at the lookout location then 4 seconds was not long enough. Increase it to 4.5 second. Keep increasing the time till you start appearing at the round table hold. This will help you narrow down the exact amount of seconds you need to wait before force quitting. Loading back in and being at the lookout means you quit too early. Being at the round table hold means you waited too long. Keep narrowing it down till you hit the exact middle. That’s the moment the game will loose track of your exact location and place you in the default location of Crumbling Farum Azula. Hope this helps.

I've tried 80 or more times and cannot get it to work.
Update: 4.50 or 4.60 seconds was the key for me. Ps4 version on Ps5

I’ve been trying to do this for hours. It’s almost impossible on ps5 because it’s complete guess work. I’ve tried at least 50 times and just can’t get it. Just another frustration to add to an already frustrating game. You sure it hasn’t been patched? You’d think I’d have got lucky by now if it hadn’t.

How to you get that small menu on the corner of the screen on the quit out?
On PS5 you are unable to record your Home Screen, so I simply put a small image of it in the video to represent going to the Home Screen. As soon as you press X to warp, press and hold the home button to get to the Home Screen.
As of 8/18/2024 it still works
It doesn’t work for me it says when I load back into the game it never says chapel of anticipation. I’m on Xbox one s and it won’t word
This is a PS5 tutorial. The Xbox load times are different than the PS5. If you want this wrong warp to work, you’ll need to use a timer on your phone to narrow down the window of time you need to wait before closing the game.
Start with just timing how long it takes for the xbox to load when warping to the round table without closing out the game. Say it takes 4 seconds to go through the whole load screen. Next trying quitting out at 3 seconds. If you are still in Farum Azula then 3 seconds is too fast and you know it’s somewhere between 3 and 4 seconds. Now you just gotta start trying 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, ect.

Also try doing it offline so that your Xbox isn’t trying to communicate with any online features like downloads or uploads. That could be adding potential load to the cpu and making your window change.

You don’t, you must go to the Home Screen to quit out.

Super easy on ps5. I didn’t need to stop the time. Just quit the game as soon as possible when the game loads to the round table
This may be true for you but everyone’s console is different. That’s why I recommend everyone use a timer to help narrow down the quit out window of their specific console.
What if i finished crumbling azula before even entering the royal capital?
Do i now have no way to enter the snow area?
I am on ng+ and would gladly enter the snow area instead of going ng+ again but the way seems to be blocked off.
There is a way to wrong warp to the mountaintops but I’m not sure if it’s possible if the capital has turned to ash. Some UA-cam searches should give you some answers. Good luck (:

How do you remove the home page with gallery ? i can't close elden ring because of it. It adds more process
When you need to quit the game, you must do it from the home page.
Best way to do this is on your controller hold the PlayStation button, then hit the menu button, then X
There is no faster option.
Does resume activity fix the wrong warp, or does it still work.
Also, does it matter if you're playing online?
I’m not sure what resume activity does in the wrong warp. But best to just avoid it. Open the game normally and load your character for best results.
Also, you can do the skip offline as well

I’m not sure. But the round table is a relatively small zone to load. Changing to somewhere in the open world may increase the load time thus it may take 2.8 or 3 seconds for the quit out. If you experiment, post your results here (:
I had “chapel of anticipation” name on the save data but when I loaded it my pg spawned in Crumbling Farum Azula (the teleport part)

Hey R&R. You’re attempting this on a PS5 right? There are a few different models of PS5s out so your times may vary.
Start with just timing how long the load screen takes to get to the round table. Say it takes 3 second… now start quitting out at 2 seconds, if you are still in Farum Azula then 2 seconds was too fast. Now try 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, ect. If you end up at the round table then you went too slow. Document your times and it’ll help you narrow down your window.

Just getting to the option to close the game at the home screen takes more than 2.6 seconds! Do you suppose that while I’m trying to get this to work a video on how to warp to Mountain Top of the Giants will appear? The good lord knows I need bell bearing 3!
Press and hold the PS button on your controller, that will get you to the Home Screen faster than pressing it and then navigating to the home icon on the quick bar.
There seems to be interest in that wrong warp. I’ll put it on the to do list.
Ok. I pressed and held the home button. Then I clicked the option button to give the option to close the game. By the time I do that the stopwatch says 4.3 seconds. I think I need to practice closing the game without looking at the screen. Just whip through the actions by memory and focus on that stopwatch.

When you died, where did you re-spawn at? I figured it would have just placed you back at the start of the chapel of anticipation again.
Yo im having issues with this one. Idk if im missing something or what.. ive closed the game 1-4 secs and i keep loading at crumbling but not the entrance. Even if i let it load to where im at the round table and close it, it puts me at that cliff but not the entrance.. i tried resting at the grace and not resting at the grace.. no matter what timing its not working….

It’s not a special menu. Unfortunately you can’t record the main menu on ps5 so I had to just put up a picture of it representing when to go to it.
can this possibly corrupt your save file?
My friends and I have done this wrong warp on a dozen characters with no issues, however any time you force quit a game there’s a chance of corrupting a save.
Will this trigger any quests?
I don’t believe so. Most quests are triggered when entering Altus

That means you quit out too early. If you are using a timer and quit out at 2.6 second, start trying 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, ect. If you start showing up at the round table then you are now quitting out too late. Keep trying, you’ll get it.

What do you do if you have Xbox
Use a stopwatch app.
Force quit at 4 seconds.
If you are still at the lookout location then 4 seconds was not long enough.
Increase it to 4.5 second.
Keep increasing the time till you start appearing at the round table hold.
This will help you narrow down the exact amount of seconds you need to wait before force quitting.
Loading back in and being at the lookout means you quit too early. Being at the round table hold means you waited too long.
Keep narrowing it down till you hit the exact middle. That’s the moment the game will loose track of your exact location and place you in the default location of Crumbling Farum Azula.
