Is there a name for the move at 0:06 where they swing there leg from one side to the other? Wasnt sure if there was like a name for this. Just would like to learn that move
The first guy on Krump portion...They should have gotten a better shot of him doing it, but I do appreciate them including the dance style considering I'm a Krumper myself and the community is still working hard to spread the style and educate on it.
the reason why all of these look alike is because they are usually derivatives of each other. A lot of cultures around the world adopt from other inspirations. Also, it could be the whole "west coast vs. east coast".
Well they came from America so can't argue with them being American Street Dance. I consider myself to be Popper and i am asian. But still i like street dance that have its origin in America.

Are they in the world of GTA V? :P
Gta V is in LA.
In Spanish, los Angeles means the Angels, and los santos means the saints.
LaPersonaNonGrata What does that have to do with BuzzFeed being located in New York City
JoeAttack for them to know, and for you never to understsnd.
And btw GTA V is in Los Santos not Los Angeles it is based off LA, but is not
The new up jack swing looked like something you would do after having a lot of caffeine.
The background looks like gta v
KENNEDYma111 and gta v is inspired by it
Thx Buzzfeed, now I know about these dances!
I can do that... I just dont show people because I don't want to make them jealous
Same tho

The first guy on Krump portion...They should have gotten a better shot of him doing it, but I do appreciate them including the dance style considering I'm a Krumper myself and the community is still working hard to spread the style and educate on it.

Popping was invented in Fresno. It was popularized in the Bay Area, though.

What about dub dances. Has anyone ever watched NONSTOP? He's freaking awesome!
i guess you can consider dubstep dancing a street style, but you do know theres more than just nonstop, search itsMrich, good publisher of dancers
why are people acting like twerking is new?
That place where they're filming looks very familiar :)
I love these!
1:18
dat face. lmao
The dance from the Bay Area evolved into turf dancing and you can often see the singer Omarion turf dancing
Wait, isn't that where the car race scene from Grease was filmed?
I like how they show breaking as nothing but power moves...
Where the people are dancing looks like that car race scene in Grease.
YOOO IS THAT SHOFU THE BEATDOWN I SEE!??!?
Yeah bro lol
the reason why all of these look alike is because they are usually derivatives of each other. A lot of cultures around the world adopt from other inspirations. Also, it could be the whole "west coast vs. east coast".

I saw this video yesterday, and I saw on my newsfeed "The 5 Dance Street Styles Everyone Should Know About" I thought this was a new video ._.
they forgot Melbourne shuffle and Jumpstyle :p
Do the history of the Melbourne shuffle next
I think Bart from the Simpsons did Krumping
in a episode.
I was kinda hoping that this video was going to narrated by footofaferret :/ but still a cool video
Nice. Only brief explanations. I think there should be a little more in depth about how it came to be, than defining the dance.
I can't dance so that was pretty cool
American street dance? don't other countries do this too?
Yeah hip hop dance/street dance originated in America and like music it spread out towards other countries...
Well they came from America so can't argue with them being American Street Dance. I consider myself to be Popper and i am asian. But still i like street dance that have its origin in America.

I can do a cartwheel lol
Lol just realized, the guy with the dreads is Shofu's brother lol... if anyone knows who shofu even is here...
How do you know?
Shofu's Cypher 2013 Rap has his brother as a guest rapper and in the video he is doing some dance moves as well as it looks like the same guy lol
Yeah bro lol it's me
If you are good at break-dancing, odds are you would also be decent at Capoeira.
Where's the dances from the south and Midwest????
krump was also created to praise God. the acronym for krump is Kingdom. Radical. Uplifting. Mighty. Praise.
How could they leave out house??
Goro Majima :"That's rad!"
The Krumping was supposed to be harder and more aggressive and intense. (Dancer)
Dance name
I think I wanna try popping and krumping
B-B-B-B-BEATDOWN!
Popping technically originated in Fresno, not just the Bay Area
I was waiting for twerking
Nice KDs
Under 300 club!
Yeah Bboying
What about the last 20 years?
They say the whole "street dance" originated in New York I guess.
When you keep repeating the end part of the video, it sounds like someone was scraping and tapping a coin into stone.
How do they not have cripping?
i did breaking but I ironically broke my arms D:
is it just me or does the example of 'locking' look like something other than the locking i know..?
