Hi.. I don't know any Mandarin, but my wife is from Taiwan. I can't speak to her parents because they don't speak English. Do you think your course would help me to learn, or do you need to know the basics already?
Hi! Once you have some basic knowledge of Chinese. I’d recommend you to join this Taiwanese mandarin conversation training course! mandarin-with-miss-lin.teachable.com/p/conversationtrainingcourse
开心 is one of the few words i picked up from watching dramas that's why i was confused when in the book, the first word for happy taught to us is 高兴。I thought i just misheard it XD.
馬馬虎虎 is such a cute expression, it's a shame that it doesn't sound casual. I've been taught that it's quite a common Taiwanese slang though, not from textbooks but from two different Taiwanese people
It sounds normal to me, but I would say it depends on the question. For example, if a friend who you haven't seen in a while asks you "how have you been", you can respond using "馬馬虎虎" as "it's alright, nothing much." However, native speakers usually won't say "馬馬虎虎" to a friend who you see very often.
I read its actually a Manchu loan word thats been transliterated into Chinese. Hence why the characters dont really make any sense. They are just there for their pronunciation value.

Hi Laoshi.. Do you have an online class? mMay i have the details?❤ Thank you
so many good teachers out there, and you're one of the best
Your words make my day. It’s been such a long and hard journey. Thanks.
你好,我是台灣人,對語言現象非常有興趣。
關於您提到的一些用法,我個人是認為大部分的人的確會用「跟」、「開心」之類的;不過還是有部分的人會用「和」、「高興」等。
尤其是「開心」跟「高興」,我的感覺好像是:「高興」更強調帶有興奮感的感受,「開心」單純只是整體來說心情很好,當然也包含興奮的感覺,只是不像「高興」那麼強調而已。
以上只是我的看法,給你作參考,謝謝!
I like the way you teach, because there have pinyin and English make me easy to learn mandarin
Thanks teacher, it's very helpful, some frases in cantonese are similar and most common use in mandarim
I guess there’s similarities 😁

哇,真的好多東西值得學的,日常口語真的聽起來親切多了,聽起來不會太嚴肅。不過我好喜歡說「和 ㄏㄢˋ」耶,因為我以前是學唸「ㄏㄜˊ」的,現在覺得「ㄏㄢˋ」很好聽,很特別耶,哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈🤣😅
哈哈有嗎?!(學生視角?!)

Maybe I should 😳😳

You can always try and see native speakers reaction! :)

vieux maître.. ahaha merci 謝謝
Is this Traditional Chinese ?
Yes, you're right.
She introduced the the way of Chinese which is using in Taiwan's daily life.
Yeah, that's a Taiwan traditional way, think is more soft
Standard Chinese writing.
