    Concise and helpful breakdown, Bradley! I’m going to do my best to keep this front of mind during mixes (and hopefully not front of mix)!

    could you pleas share with us a guide or a quick review on how to use the different colors of analog emulations? in which cases should we apply each type of color, for example: when to use a pultec, when to use a manley emulation, where to apply a maag high shelf and stuff like that.

    Another super helpful video! Thanks for the knowledge buddy. I really want to get in on the sessions where people share music for y’all to critique, but all my music is rock based. I noticed a lot of your guys shit is geared towards pop and hip hop.

    Great video! Is it possible that my voice produce a really bad resonance at exactly 2800 hz? I tried changing mic, changing booth, mic position etc but it's always there and very hard to control; even worse with high notes.

    Have you tried mixing to the FM curve at all, is that a good idea?

    • @RadiumRecordsHollywood
      @RadiumRecordsHollywood  Рік тому

      It kinda happens naturally... The issue is that "loudness" is in the mid-range and it's what helps your record really compete

      @@RadiumRecordsHollywood I think the reason vinyl sounds better is that curve. More roll off of highs back in the day. We’ve got a battle to make everything ear splitting. I’m turning to be a big fan of rolling off highs in my own music now. Across 5-10 tuts on YT its all about 2-4k again and again, the resonance thing. I’m doing some ‘metal-ish’ industrial tech like Ansome = a lot of distortion to be tamed! :-)

    I fixed a harsh mix by bouncing to a Telefunken M15 tape machine. 😁
