8.5 Odour Treatment Systems

Odour treatment systems absorb, adsorb and/or oxidize odour compounds. These include chemical solvents and oxidants (wet scrubbers), solid adsorbents (activated carbon), biological oxidation (biofilter) and thermal oxidation. Misting systems may address odour outside the odour collection system, and include solvents, sorbents, oxidants, and/or masking odour compounds.
