Although I also adore the game, I was let down by its lack of support and substance as well as the makers' lack of interaction with the community. It was the one game that had enormous potential but didn't fully realize it.
7:52 truest thing about Ubisoft, especially after I stopped enjoying R6S with the balance passes they were making. The Division as a concept to me is just cool as hell.
Same. I'm actually pretty excited to hear that they fixed it. I've been playing the division since the first one dropped in 2016. I still hop on there from time to time to play Survival mode and troll other players in the DZ with my 10k Stamina nomad.
As a guy who's still playing, and has been with the Division franchise ever since TD1, the community is still thriving. Especially since Massive has been able to actually allocate more resources and time to the development of post-launch content. I mean, we're on Year 6 now, getting a DLC in the next season, the endgame has been revamped, the seasonal model was revamped this season, and there are still UA-camrs I know of that still make Div2 content every single week: build guides, dev news breakdowns, etc. If you stopped playing because of the crashes, I'd suggest logging in and give it another try. I love this game, and I love seeing Thor talk about it. Plus, Massive has been MUCH more responsive to audience reactions. For example, they were originally going to introduce "seasonal characters" to this new season model, having you start a new character for each season. Fans hated the idea of leaving their original character behind, so Massive scrapped the idea entirely.
AND they just released TODAY a new weapon as part of a Veteran Reward Program, granting everyone access to a fully automatic LVOA-C (The LVOA was a fully automatic rifle in TD1 but they changed it to a semi-automatic rifle in TD2). And they granted skins (bronze, silver, gold) based on how long you've been playing the Division and Division 2.
@@local9 Well, the game has a lot more content now. 2 raids, and incursion, multiple different game modes, including a new Roguelike mode called Descent, different progression systems such as Expertise and Proficiency. There's a seasonal mode that unlocks more story content as you progress through each season. And you can revisit the past season climax missions to grab their collectibles and get a grasp on where the story has gone since the end of the main campaign.
@@h3rmesactual ugh....the game is still dead compared to how it was before the bug. And Ubisoft is trying everything to get back their lost players. 'thriving'....such a silly corporate word that means nothing.
@@blahblah8372 You're right, the game is still struggling heavily to come back from all the bullshit the fans had to go through. A ton of people left and not a lot came back. But that doesn't change the fact that it's not a dead game. I still play whenever I can, I have no problems matchmaking for games, and again, there are still a solid number of content creators who make videos for The Division. Granted, not as big as COD or Destiny, but it's still a community nonetheless. I agree it sucks how much shit Ubisoft has done, but Massive Entertainment is at least making some good steps with this franchise and like Thor pointed out, the numbers have grown on Steam since they've begun fixing the game and adding more content.
it really was, the division 1 was probably my favorite game at the time and it continued to get lots of content and updates (there's arguments to be made but still, post-release non-dlc content). awesome story that set up for another one
I had Division 2 for years but never played it. Finally started playing it some time ago and just reached level 40. Absolutely love it. Visually and in gameplay just incredibly fun.
I was a launch player and this issue absolutely drove me away for a long time. I've started playing again and really enjoy it; there's nothing quite like The Division when it comes to atmosphere and realistic setting details. They very nearly dropped the ball yet again with Seasons 2.0, though--Washington D.C. was stable, but players were getting disconnected constantly on the NYC map, like every 5-20 minutes. Thankfully they were able to fix the issue pretty quickly this time, and the game is overall very stable these days.
The Division franchise holds a special place in my heart because i remember trying the first game at my cousins house when it first came out and instantly fell in love. Even though enemies can be a little spongy, the gunplay and insane level of build crafting (especially in Divison 2) always has me signing in, doing a few dailies, and running some legendries with some Randoms.
Conspiracy theory but it seems that crash bug was during the time a lot of veteran Ubisoft employees left the company. There were reports that the people working at the company were attempting to contact veteran staff that left for issues they couldn't resolve. You can even see that with AC Shadows of how unpolish the game looks with poor terrain alignment and NPCs sliding in the trailers they posted. Could've been that no one knew how to fix it.
I remember having issues with crashing that ruined my first playthrough. I've played a bunch since then and now I've been playing daily with all of the new content released recently. The community is actually growing. Really quick turnarounds on Countdown and events.
I made an amazing friend in that game, we planned to meet up in person several times but life got in the way. We had each other's numbers and we're basically best friends instantly over division 1. The division was an amazing game.
As someone that has played both Division 1 and 2 for a good while I always thought it was very niche RPG game that not many would know aside from the initial launch so hearing a big creator like Thor talk about the game and playing it puts a smile on my face.
I'm one of the weird guys who still revisits Division 1 each year, and prefer it over 2. Hope they get back to winter setting in a big city with Division 3
I absolutely love D2. I go back to the game every 6 months or so and definitely had some overlap with the crash issue. Early on it also wouldn't run if your video card was overclocked (that may still exist). They're trying to make a comeback with new season content, total revamp of items and upcoming DLC. Definitely worth a look if you've never played it or haven't picked it up in a while.
The game is super fun. I played the hell out of it during 'Rona. Stopped when it got old. Picked it up again. It is the same but different. Good. Recommended. 😊
DIV 2 is my on again, off again guilty delight. I always find a reason to come back to playing it. Some nights I'll just chill and answer calls for help from other agents.
I wasn't playing Division 2 when the crashes were happening, I just phased out of the game because of real life. With a bunch of life being breathed into the game, maybe I'll go back in. Division and Division 2 were super awesome fun games.
@@ZrinNZ you're probably gonna get bombarded with the pop-ups for the new mechanics but there's so much more build diversity and QOL since you last played
I wanted to give that game a try, but at that time I had a pretty lame PC. Now I may have a better PC, but I am investing my time on other things. Such is life.
some things are better left behind, especially if you feel like you have something going on, moving forward; life is too short for getting lost into nostalgia; and not everything is worth returning to, but if you're disciplined and honest with yourself, you can enjoy a lil' bit of lots of stuff...
Played the heck out of Division 1 through all the bugs and cheats. Had a lot of fun, but trailed off as my fireteam left. Trying to do anything in the Dark Zone, which was pretty much the only way to farm, solo was a nightmare. Tried Division 2 and ground out max level mostly solo. Not enough players when I was dabbling to be able to get a raid team together. Hope it's enjoyable for everyone now, hats off for sticking it out. I don't see myself falling back into that particular series again.
Fun fact it still happens if you change your graphics settings multiple times and don’t reset the game... But im happy that there will be more content to the game
This also happened with Blacklight Retribution several years ago, you would get booted after an hour if you were level 30+, and then you couldn't login. It went on for a good 3 years. They eventually fixed the issue (and removed Australian servers) but the game slowly dwindled and died in 2019.
I have played many RPG looter shooters over the years and yet none of them have kept me invested for as long as The Division 1 and 2. The atmosphere is goated, the gunplay is addicting and I always found it interesting how they managed to make an RPG take place in a contemporary/relatable setting and make it work. Instead of swords, bows and wands you get different archetypes of guns Instead of magical spells you get skills like turrets, shields and drones And Instead of potions you get consumables like armor kits and special ammo for your gun. Is the game unrealistic? Absolutely, just look at some of the raid and manhunt bosses. They ain't trying to hide it lol. but once you understand that this game isn't trying to be realistic shooter and treat it like an RPG with guns you're likely gonna have alot more fun with it.
I've been playing Division 2 for a couple years now, maybe three, and I've logged around 1700 hours in that time. While it can't hold my interest *perpetually*, I have come back to the game multiple times and immediately started having fun again. Regardless, I play every Friday night with family, and that is always a fun time. Making new builds in this game is *great*. Umbra+Fox+Centurion is my current favorite by a big margin, it makes my guns shoot absurdly fast and is a really comfy setup. The UIC15 MOD2 is my *baby*, but there's a Rifle sound bug in co-op, so for the sake of my teammates' ears, I run a Measured Lexington. A lovely gun. It's raised from 850 RPM to 1300 RPM+. Complemented by an Iron Lung LMG. I love this build so much lol. Burn > Laser > Burn > Laser...
Exactly. I had a good group of friends regularly playing Division 2. The crash bled everyone away. And then when we tried to return later after it was fixed, we all were hyper-aware of the Ubisoft's upsells-- without being currently immersed in the game, it felt like a giant ad for the parts of the content none of us were interest in. The spell broke, it felt gross now.
I stopped because an extreme version of this. Was adding a (positive) review saying that "This game has an angry machine spirit. You have to find the right ritual to appease it and it's not always the same for everyone." and the SECOND I hit "Submit" my PC blue screened. It continued to blue screen constantly for the next week no matter what I did. It finally went down and would not boot at all. It was an aging rig and I decided to build a new one instead of trying to noodle out how to fix it. By the time I got the cash to build a new one I just.. didn't feel like going back.
Still playing division 2 here! the games been patched a ton and crashing issues are pretty much a thing of the past lol. Would highly recommend this game to anybody now. its super fun.
The crashing bug not being fixed makes total sense considering these are the same people that made Star Wars Outlaws. There are some major priorities issues at that studio.
I still actively play this game to this day since release, It is top 3 games for me and I will continue to play it until the shut down the servers, it is just the best of everything in my opinion
Recently tried Division 2 and... I really do not get what is actually fun about it? The menus are a pain to navigate, the missions are boring, the difficulty in general is way too easy, the loot does not feel like it matters at all.
@@Ozzianman making a "build" having a baseline idea in mind or just a gun you really enjoy then making a "build" of gear with certain brand attributes around said gun or idea. Example - Oh i really enjoy shotguns, so you make a hunters fury build cause wearing 2 pieces of it Set bonus (2): +15% Shotgun Damage. +15% SMG Damage and if you wear 4 pieces you get the special talent Enemies within 15m receive a debuff, amplifying your weapon damage against them by +20%. Killing a debuffed enemy with your weapon disorients other enemies within 5m, and amplified weapon damage by 5% for 10s, stacking up to 5 times.
@@undeadvex1719 Borderlands is actually fun to play though. The Division 2 is not. To me that seems like a lot of end game talk and if I have to grind through a poorly made early game to get to the good part, then I am not going to bother as I have already played for like 5 hours and I am bored.
@@Ozzianman if you played the division 2 early on yes the level grind was tedious, but now if you purchased the Warlords of new york expansion you can skip to level 30, and if you finish the warlords dlc you get level 40 which takes about an hour, we use it to create new characters as storage or to farm material for the main acc and or to have re rolls for the incursion since u can only get the loot once a week (multiple characters = multiple chances for raid exotic loot)
As someone who played the first and second parts, I can't say that the key factor was the game crashes. In fact, Division 2 was cancelled after its second year of life and the main team of developers was dispersed to other projects of the studio. But in the end they changed their minds and spent another year and a half to assemble a new team to establish the process of releasing at least some content (which was mainly seasons). Problems with server maintenance, balance, and slow release of interesting content are also added here.
There was also an issue on PC where Easy AntiCheat would think OBS was a cheat client, and would softlock your game, if you didn't have the game open for about 15-20 minutes PRIOR to opening OBS. It absolutely CRUSHED content from PC players, forcing people to either stream the game on console, or play different games (like Destiny 2). Combined with the otherwise-happening crashes, and basically no content creation from PC players, made nearly all PC players leave for a long time. This was something Massive could do nothing about, since it was an EAC problem, and they had no way of changing it. It took about 4-6 months for them to get the EAC team to fix it, which was definitely far from good. The other issue was the complete radio-silence, due to Ubisoft moving the Massive development team to the Avatar game (which turned out great). The development team went from like 300 to 40ish (which took a while for them to tell us), who were left responsible with- 1. Trying to revive a story that was left in a cut-off-head state, in terms of where it was progressed to. 2. Trying to update a game that was left in a nailed-coffin state, where it was never meant to be changed again. 3. Appeasing a terminally-pissed-off community due to the radio silence the development team had no choice over. 4. The impossible demands of parts of the community, who expect the same content the team made when it was 8-10x larger. The game is still a blast, but that's kind of a problem. People love the game so much, they will willing play exclusively it, but then get burnt out super quick, since development can't keep up with their demands. It's kind of what happened to Helldiver's 2 initially, where they had to hire more people to make new stuff, since the demand was there. It's definitely still a ton of fun, and EXTREMELY fun in a squad of players together, but it just got mismanaged for so long, that it was suffocated. 100% worth trying it out again. 1 0 0 %. Alternatively play through the first game again, since it's a masterpiece, and since there's still a pretty dedicated playerbase there EVERY DAY.
Thank you for talking about this. Me and my friend both bought the Division 2 but were unable to continue playing or get a refund since the game would constantly crash after the 70~ hour mark. It especially sucks since the game was genuinely amazing but I couldn't in good faith recommend others the game because it was literally unplayable.
Strangely this happened in the original Guild Wars, where the game would crash randomly within a single hour, and it happened after a Patch release. And the community brought it up. Arenanet, the makers of the game came out saying it was on the side of the computers or the ISP that was the issue. But we all knew it was client related, because it occurred to numerous individuals after a set time period. They were able to finally fix it, but they never once took responsibility for the crash occurring, and how it occurred after a patch had been installed on a specific date. This was over a decade ago.
As someone who stuck through Div2 during the hard times, when the game works right and runs great, its honestly a su0per fun game to play with friends, but when it's being too buggy or not operating correctly it's a massive drag
Me, my brothers, and buddies all stopped too. We tried getting back into it every few months when they dropped major updates but we kept running into the same problems so eventually we just stopped when Ubi wouldn't announce wtf was going on. It really sucks because the game was awesome
i did not know this. i played it on release and then later in mid 2023 with a buddy for weeks, doing sessions of like 10-20h without any bugs or issues, crazy how i havent even noticed that there was such a huge issue with the game for the majority of ppl.
There was a similar issue with Kingdom Hearts on PC. When it was on Epic games it would crash at random for anyone with an AMD gpu. This issue existed for 3 YEARS without any fixes. They then ported it to steam WITHOUT FIXING IT and only acknowledged the issue after massive complaints on steam. But even then they didnt fix it, they got AMD to fix it.
Yep, long crashing period pretty much killed it. Before frequent crashes started to happen, had like 15-20 active players in clan playing every day. A good portion of players left mainly because of crash issues and now can someday only see few survivors left.
Huh. I never noticed this because I originally played Div 1 and 2 on Xbox, then only got Div 2 on PC recently and beat it again. Kinda sad this is why it died on PC - the Division games are honestly pretty fire, and probably the best looter-shooters overall IMO (then again I might be biased because I'm a big fan of the Tom Clancy super secret military spy shit).
What did i miss here? I still keep playing this game since the release and i am right now the only one in our group who keeps actively playing it and i never experienced this type of bug myself. But maybe this explains why i got rarely other players through the search for missions. I was wondering why most of the times i could run the search for over a hour and nobody would join. Hopefully my buddy gets finally his first pc setup so we can finally play this great game together. To this day i'm still discovering new ways to play this game with different loadouts or approaches on gameplay.
Part of me feels like the game’s in need of a crossplay system. I migrated from PS4 to PC some time ago. I always had a Main Mission or two to do on work nights, queue near-instant on PS4. Now it’s hit-or-miss, especially on choosing a specific mission. What’s worse, it seems that the queue prioritizes ongoing missions rather than goobers like me waiting at the “start gate” of the mission with a sniper build, so you have to “force” up the queue by starting the mission first and hoping people join. A small annoyance but still there.
The game still crashes all the time for me and its super frustrating because I REALLY liked it. Some of the best third-person shooter gameplay in a game.
I still play T.D.1...SOOO ADDICTING....AND I JUST HAD TO BUY T.D.2...The player community since day 1 99% of all players AKA random are really cool and just want to play and have fun.
Play the game. I dont play shooters at all other than this game, and im into total war and crusader kings mostly. Fantastic game. Sometimes server issues can still be a thing but its rare and rarely spoils the fun. Would love to see this community in there, I think it would make the game a 10 again.
i remember this back on console years ago, now that im on pc, ive crashed twice, i remember constant deltas in summit, done 1-100 floors without any problems, pretty good and stable as of last week
I still play this game and love it. 5 x XP this whole past weekend. Been playing since day one. It’s had its ups and downs for sure but it scratches the itch for what I want out of a game. They just need to bring the vibe of TD1 back. Oh, I was in the TD2 beta too as well. Got the Capital Hill backpack trophy or “dongle” as you called it, haha!
My theory is, it started when they transitioned from Uplay to Ubisoft Connect, mainly due to the ubisoft overlay shit. This is during the COVID lockdown and there was a sudden influx of new players. That's just my thoughts, 'cause I played during that time and my game crashed like crazy, it stopped when I disabled the overlay, but I wasn't able to access the store anymore
What I believe will bring more players back to Division is more inventory storage. Instead of a storage chest in the White House or Safe Houses, they need to give players a vault to store your weapons, gear and mod's. 150 backpack storage never seemed enough and 300 chest storage never seemed enough either. Give us a vault with 1000 storage capacity and we'll come back in swarms. Creating new characters to bypass the storage is a bit tedious and out dated. If we, the players, can have a dedicated room in the White House specifically for the player to store the Exotics and High Roll gear and weapons with >1000 storage capacity I believe D2 (and possibly D3) will be back on top.
I still pop on from time to time to play Division 2, it's still very solid, it's worth the purchase (probably really cheap now), and the devs seem dedicated to making it better, albeit seeing not that much success in doing so. Like, they're trying to make big moves, but most recent ones I've observed haven't landed well. Doesn't help that they fell into the Destiny trap of focusing their narrative development in their seasonal content, meaning past manhunts, which told the stories of the big moves the villains are making...those are gone. The final missions are present, and the audio logs are present to collect, but the build up of seeing those stories told...pretty much gone, and the UI being so split up and scattered makes following those stories really hard. That all being said...gameplay is still decent, despite matchmaking being bad and the playercount dipping. The in-game systems are being worked on and developed. Im rooting for them. They allegedly have Division 3 in their sights, for the future. We'll see what they can do. TLDR: If you want to play Division 2 again, do it. It's good. Not as good as it could be yet, but it's good.
The Division had the same kind of random crashes as well, it wasn't just the division 2. The saving grace was that at least if you did crash out you could reload the game and rejoin your previous session. IMO what killed the game initially was the gear system not being as good as the original, and that's backed by the devs completely overhauling it to gear 2.0. Much the same way that D4 was overhauled for the better.
I actually still love playing the Division 2 I've been playing it more then ever and I can't wait for the new DLC I've been having fun running a clan activites
Played Division 1 and 2 at release for a couple of months. (no repeating crashes). Took a brake for months if not years. Started playing with friends again. (no repeating crashes) Seems i got lucky.
The bug is still present sometimes such as when the recent season update delta 03 tends to be the code that pops up when you encounter the bug. Ubisoft knew mods were banning players when they would complain on steam discussions about it.
The division is a really really damn good il Ubisoft needs to prioritize and make their golden child. It’s not like their other farcry assassins creed copies. They need to pour whatever last bit of effort they have and devote it to the division franchise.
From what i can tell they got tied up too much into the expansion of heartland which was only supposed to be a d2 battle royale, franchise projects, and the singapore deal locked them to skull and bones so they needed time to get programmers free and the money from steam purchases to pay them and tackle the known issues list. I held on because i was a new player to the genre alerted from steam ,pre watch seemed to have less issues. Thankfully i only had a couple months of deltas and lag, i couldnt imagine over a year.
I missed out on the crash but having only recently started playing the division 2 but I’ve sunk almost 50 hours into it over the past week playing solo. Seems like the game is in a much more stable place now
I absolutely loved For Honor when it came out, but similar issues made the game so inconsistent that it just wasn't enjoyable anymore. I guess this is just a common issue for Ubisoft.
The fix I found was to just play the game with dx11 instead of dx12. They were forced to include dx12 even tho they said they hated using dx12 and Ubisoft didn't care about the devs.
I stopped playing in November of last year, it was and still is a great game. I won't be coming back sadly and have dealt with so many bugs they continue to not fix that it was just enough for me to stop playing. I play the raids, new content, gotten the desired gear, have everything I could ever want, but what I want is to not have to experience and update the breaks something that had nothing to do with said update. I'll debate coming back, but for right now, no.
When it got down to 10 for the game I got my friends to get it and we played the hell out of it. Then the NYC dlc went to 10 and they got that too lol Very playable and fun
Been playing since day one don’t remember it crashing that much but it did crash on me a couple times then again I was on PlayStation 4/5 I love this game. I’ll continue to play it until division 3 comes out.
Played Division a lot, sometimes for 3-4 hours a session. Well, it could crash at random moment once for 20-40 hours, it can now. Nothing changed, nothing critical, nothing to talk about.
This crashing issue is not fixed for everyone. I have a 4090, can run any game with no issues but this game still crashes constantly. Have tried every work around known to man, nothing has worked. Was a D1 veteran and would still have been with this game. Sad.
The way that Ubisoft is trying to attract new players is driving away experienced players. After grinding for days, weeks, and months...Ubisoft is now giving away more and more powerful gear/weapons. And now, they have a 5x XP event. You find lots of 1000+ SHD level players who know almost nothing about how to play the game.
Their is a talent on lmg that if u land 100 shoot u will get the mag back full and redo it again, and u comes with 200 rounds before u add mag size. U can do a no reload build as well
snowdrop at the time was a mess of a engine that ubisoft tried to sell to everyone, i still remember TD1 messyness at launch, similar to how TD2 went. TD2 still tends to be wonky, but at least not as wonky as it used to be around it's infancy. - in the end, i stopped playing because i burnt out on god rolling stats, i had everything and basically did everything up to a point. the new seasons didn't interest me any longer. fun fact: TD2 is huge in the asian community, whenever i logged into the hub, all i saw where either chinese or japanese symbols in the world chat.
I play on Xbox, so I never knew the PC players were going through such hell. That's really awful. I think I saw Div 3 was quietly announced.....I hope it goes well. I like the series a lot, but man, they sure have stumbled along the way.
The Division 1 was one of my favourite new games. The idea of an atmosphere like that, the world being just a sealed off city which had to be left to crumble because of human nature. Which given how 2020 went, I think would have been a little different had it came out now. But I was burned by Ubisofts pre launch marketing, the E3 demo promising more than was available, and the story was very half baked. They could have really had something if they committed to it, Jake Gyllenhaal was supposed to star in a movie, which became a series, which became a short film with someone else starring. The 2nd game is better, but I don't feel any connection to a overgrown Washington compared to a winter engulfed New York. The survival mode that came later is what the game should have been from the get-go. Just dayz but in NYC and with sub zero temperatures that threaten your life while outdoors. It'd be great either the pvp elements and all the subways in NY, but they moved on too quickly.
Modifiers is what they were doing for a long time. Right now you can just choose them yourself and they are a bit different. Would be better if they would spend that time to make new content or bring the survival mod back.
I stopped before the crashing issue, it was the bullet sponginess that deterred me, I liked it but the TTK was WAY too high for me to enjoy the combat at endgame.
I still remember Gorod Krovi Easter Egg crashes in Black Ops 3 Zombies on consoles... When was it fixed!? Also RCE problems - when it was fixed? Black Ops 3 PC version still crashes and has bad optimization when you are playing campaign mode e.t.c. So as much as I like Black Ops 3 (even campaign mode) - it's so bad on PC still...😢
Div 2 player, can confirm stopped cause of it. Game still has issues that hasn't really been fixed like the lower performance as you continue to play but they've been making a come back so time will tell! Hopes are up for a Div 3 and the future as this game and it's IP is so awesome.
Love this damn game.
Glad it actually runs again.
Holy cow he actually did it. (pin this comment so people see it)
Although I also adore the game, I was let down by its lack of support and substance as well as the makers' lack of interaction with the community. It was the one game that had enormous potential but didn't fully realize it.
7:52 truest thing about Ubisoft, especially after I stopped enjoying R6S with the balance passes they were making. The Division as a concept to me is just cool as hell.
POV the divison 2 we are so back
@@h3rmesactual o.O I didn't stop because of a crashing bug... I just ran the story hard and just had nothing end game to return to.
@@local9 Well, the game has a lot more content now. 2 raids, and incursion, multiple different game modes, including a new Roguelike mode called Descent, different progression systems such as Expertise and Proficiency. @@blahblah8372 You're right, the game is still struggling heavily to come back from all the bullshit the fans had to go through. A ton of people left and not a lot came back. But that doesn't change the fact that it's not a dead game. i hope the division franchise comes back, the first game was an atmospheric gem
The artbook of TD1 is awesome!
The Division 1 was... 2 not so much.
Survival in Div1 was PEAK atmosphere.
Division 1 was really fun playing with friends, goofing off in the dark zone, Good times.
well you are in luck as Division 3 is in development as we speak
it really was, the division 1 was probably my favorite game at the time and it continued to get lots of content and updates (there's arguments to be made but still, post-release non-dlc content). awesome story that set up for another one
I started playing again 2 weeks ago and randomly this has been recommended! Thank you for getting this out there! Join us, the game is good again!
Someone say “The Division 2”?
🤘🏼🍿🍿🤘🏼 Community is still there!
Damn, now I have to download Division 2 again ...
Division and division 2 are one of my favorite games of all time
I had Division 2 for years but never played it.
Thanks Thor! I'm going back to The Division 2 because of you!! Create more content for this game please
Their survival/extraction mode was amazing with the Winter setting
@@GHOST25938 Survival (I think it was called) was the best thing in TD1
@@krispy_kornflake agreed, but the 20 minute que times got unbearable at some point, don't wanna know how bad it would be now...
@@GHOST25938 never had 20 minutes on xbox, its max 10 minutes it does have an thriving community on xbox division 1
I absolutely love D2. I go back to the game every 6 months or so and definitely had some overlap with the crash issue. Early on it also wouldn't run if your video card was overclocked (that may still exist). They're trying to make a comeback with new season content, total revamp of items and upcoming DLC. Definitely worth a look if you've never played it or haven't picked it up in a while.
i took maybe a year off div2. still play it daily. Game is hella fun, and the vibe is so dang good. Glad to be part of the community.
Base game is $10 on steam
@@FrozenTvDinner hm....
some things are better left behind, especially if you feel like you have something going on, moving forward; life is too short for getting lost into nostalgia; and not everything is worth returning to, but if you're disciplined and honest with yourself, you can enjoy a lil' bit of lots of stuff...
Ew, dint even have hopes for an ubishit title
Div 2 was one of the best looter shooters of the decade, that dynamic map was amazing
I have played many RPG looter shooters over the years and yet none of them have kept me invested for as long as The Division 1 and 2. The atmosphere is goated, the gunplay is addicting and I always found it interesting how they managed to make an RPG take place in a contemporary/relatable setting and make it work.
Instead of swords, bows and wands you get different archetypes of guns
Instead of magical spells you get skills like turrets, shields and drones
And Instead of potions you get consumables like armor kits and special ammo for your gun.
Been playing it for years. With all its flaws its a pretty good game and the community is also great!! you should get back to it.
I loved Division 2 some of the best environmental storytelling in a game. Just terminally buggy though.
There are some major priorities issues at that studio.
i really like division 2's builds. i like how i could build very different builds. So many games have builds but they are all simliar.
This game did one of the best things I've seen in any game, one button to switch to left handed controls on keyboard.
Killing a debuffed enemy with your weapon disorients other enemies within 5m, and amplified weapon damage by 5% for 10s, stacking up to 5 times.
same reason i love the borderlands series so much, so many different guns and armor sets you can mix n match to your playstyle and just have a blast
I'm so happy to hear a big creator like Thor talking about The Division. My favorite game that no one I know plays.
And they sold 40 million copies to date!
Genuinely hand on heart I really bloody enjoy The Division 2
The development team went from like 300 to 40ish (which took a while for them to tell us), who were left responsible with-
Hunting for masks was also fun, i remember when the screen starts to glitch out indicating their presence, gets me excited
I'm honestly hype to see what Pirate Software builds are going to be for the raids, and endgame PVE content.
Yeah I was in the same boat, never really experienced any crashes.
That explains why a lot of players went back to Division 1
I still play Division 2 on PS5 most days. Delta errors plagued the Iron Horse raid when the raid launched but it's pretty stable on console
I love the games so much I still load up Division 1 on PS5 just to play Survival. With this information I will give Division 2 another shot as well.
I remember this, it was INFURIATING. As an IT guy, i went nuts trying to figure it out. It caused me to leave
Even with all the issues, this game is my favorite one so far.
TRIPPLED the number of active players in less than one hour of the video being put up.
THAT is Power.
These changes have brought me back its so much fun now
Played Division 1 and 2 at release for a couple of months. (no repeating crashes). Took a brake for months if not years. Started playing with friends again. (no repeating crashes)
Seems i got lucky.
Been playing this a lot the past couple months and was surprised how much fun it is
From what i can tell they got tied up too much into the expansion of heartland which was only supposed to be a d2 battle royale, franchise projects, and the singapore deal locked them to skull and bones so they needed time to get programmers free and the money from steam purchases to pay them and tackle the known issues list.
Seems like the game is in a much more stable place now
I recently got back into div 2 and MAN I missed this game unlike any other
I absolutely loved For Honor when it came out, but similar issues made the game so inconsistent that it just wasn't enjoyable anymore.
Then the NYC dlc went to 10 and they got that too lol
Very playable and fun
Sad.
it was really annoying I stopped playing that year I'm back playing now and then I like this game it's always nostalgic when i'm back
Keep us updated (on youtube) because I ignored Division 2...because of those reviews.
As a Division 2 player and seeing this video while playing it. The community hates the devs for some reason.
- in the end, i stopped playing because i burnt out on god rolling stats, i had everything and basically did everything up to a point. the new seasons didn't interest me any longer.
fun fact: TD2 is huge in the asian community, whenever i logged into the hub, all i saw where either chinese or japanese symbols in the world chat.
i'm playing Division 1 again, that game had so much potential
I play on Xbox, so I never knew the PC players were going through such hell. That's really awful.
I think I saw Div 3 was quietly announced.....I hope it goes well. I like the series a lot, but man, they sure have stumbled along the way.
Huh, I don’t think I ever remember it crashing. I got it June 2019 on Xbox and loved it, I haven’t played it in a year because it got boring.
Play it. Help bring people to this game again.
please let this video revive the game
I never got the division 2 because i heard about all the problems it had, i may check it out now thanks to this video lol
we will never ever get those PC players back. A shame too because Division 2 was one of my favorite games
