yeah they need to do more old and new cars that people can relate too... and also it would be a great idea if they could help people who have stranded projects to finish them and then surprise them with a rebuilded project this way they get the views and their channel will grow... even with their home rebuild stuff maybe they can help people out with their houses? it would be great

One thing you should do is do a video where you go over every build you have done, what has been your favorites and least favorites, most difficult and easiest etc. I think it would be an amazing video and a video that brings out a lot of memories for many of us

I was thinking the same thing. This is a great idea. They did that with the Ford Bronco when it was done, if I remember correctly.
Taking a freshly painted truck to a car wash, to have dirt filled fabric dragged across it, just to get the reaction of said car wash's workers, sounds like an awesome idea! Big brain stuff right there!

@@thesinwagin I think the idea here was to bring the truck by for the workers to see. Not to drive the truck through the car wash,.
You really need to be using sealer (DTM) on the new parts and the areas that have bare metal showing before spraying the base coat. You’ll find the colors will match better and take less coats as well. I know it’s typical used car lot work and a way to save a few bucks but in the long run the cost of the sealer will be worth it. If your set against sealer, at least spray rattle can primer(DTM preferred) over the bare spots. Base coat (solvent or water) is not a direct to metal product. Check your product technical data sheets for proper application instructions.
You may never see it but whomever ends up with the vehicle will end up with paint flaking off and corrosion problems.

Sealer is not going to make the color match any better. They dont do spray outs or tinting. They seem to be clueless on variants
Paint deffo won’t flake off and it’s not essential to use a sealer yeah it’s worth it in the long run and I mean Lonnnng run but this truck will see the road probably once a month
@@jeremy_bragg The brands of paint I’ve used and use all recommend a specific shade of sealer for a reason. I’ve noticed it when doing spray outs. The differences between sealed and not sealed can be pretty different. Different shades of sealer can make a difference as well over the same color of base coat.
I know these guys don’t get into doing spray outs and tinting colors. They should try it out. They’d have knew the color on the G wagon was off a few shades from the OEM color if they had done a spray out.
Yeah, it annoys me a lot when they don't use a sealer before spraying the base coat, they used to do it before but they just don't care anymore for some reason.
So glad you guys have got to where you can just have Pops around the shop helping out. Pops is allways busy and he's allways great to see and hear in the videos. So great to see success shared with him! 👍😁

It might help to do a test paint on a 6" square before proceeding to the entire parts.

And maybe throw some primer on those bare metal spots and remove the parts labels off the bedside before paint looks like they just painted over them.
The color of Primer/Sealer can affect the shade of the base color as well. Even more reason to do test panels

A sealer coat works wonders for paint color uniformity. Looks like the OEM paint is darker on the rear bumper and tailgate @21:54 is where you really see it stick out. Great job guys, great looking truck stock, absolutely love the color.

I work for FORD. The factory is too busy striking to paint or even build cars properly.

Really respect the effort, the long hours, you guys put into these cars, and we don't even see all the behind the scenes stuff, the planning, the chasing potential new builds, chasing parts, editing, etc. As you were painting, I was thinking the quality of the paint jobs seems to have greatly improved in recent builds since you moved into your own booth (absolutely no personal expertise in this area), and then you said the same at 4:02 into the video! I really like the trucks better stock. Love the F-450 because it's so stock. But it does look good.
Every factory color has a recommended VS (Value Shade) of sealer to use for best color match. Ranging all the way from white, grays & black. Not only will it give you protection against bare metal spots but will help in the amount of coats of paint it takes to cover and your color matching issues as well. Wherever you're getting your paint from should have a color deck of variants for the paint as well to help you narrow down the correct color depending on which manufacturing plant it was built at. Just a few words of advice if you care to fix the paint issues yall are having.
They are not tradesman and actually have no idea how to blend, you dont throw paint over the whole bonnet and say it’s blended, I’m a painter by trade and unfortunately they don’t know how to do it, look they do good, but they always have the same issue when painting, if they want there cars the same colour, they best just paint the whole car, it took me 4 years of training to learn my trade.
Unless I missed something, they went over bare metal in spots and just went straight to color over the e-coat and put no sealer down whatsoever. This truck will be the next giveaway truck, I bet

I would leave it with the original suspension. All these inventions only end up destroying the vehicle prematurely. And that is an excellent truck.

When i worked for Jaguar Landrover show cars we had to do sprayout cards for every job. Nice library of colours 😂 a bit of WOW lads then colour. Buying in matched paint rarely works. Blend blend blend. Nice job on the rivets.
The stock height is beautiful. I’d maybe put on a leveling kit but probs not lift it into the sky

As others have said....in order to get better color matches, you need to up your primer/sealer game. You are putting a hard to cover red metallic over black parts, dark grey parts, light grey primered parts and everything else. Take the time to prime/seal...its not that much after all the work you did...

Leave it stock or put decent wheel and tire package that can fit under truck stock so you can actually use the truck.

I love it! Everything you guys have done is just perfect! I like to see a truck that still looks factory but has some good aftermarket things. Even after the lift it’ll still be functional!
Should prime all bare metal before sealing and painting,adhesion will be terrible and no corrosion protection
It's amazing to see people do what they love.
Get an clothing iron and use the steam to get the wrinkles out of the leather, that’s how they do it on the assembly line, just don’t leave it in one spot to long or you’ll burn/ discolor it

@@gvn-xk6eq the heat from the iron help smooth it out keep it from wrinkling again, unlike a steamer which isn’t going to do anything without heat the underside if the material
if they leave it parked outside as long as the windows aren't ceramic tinted the leather will flatten out over the course of a few weeks from the sun exposure.
@@nickb.249 agreed but not everyone wants to wait that long, like myself just a quick 10 mins process to do, but also if it stays cloudy then that’s longer you have to wait too

It depends on the lighting, the old paint looked darker in some scenes too, it was the same with the last build. They have their own paint booth, so they don't have an excuse not to take that little extra time by either matching the original paint or spraying the whole car for that premium finish.

Why don't you do the v notch for the window mastic like the windshield repair companies do? There has to be a reason for it.
I'm a windshield installer and I keep mentioning this , they also never prep or primer any surfaces before bonding 🤷
Yes V notch is required for proper glass setting . They really don’t know what they are doing and don’t seem to learn from others trying to educate them. They also typically choose products solely on price and try to cheap out on everything except for looks

Turning out amazing, great job guys. One thing you definitely need to invest in, a paint can pour spout! Paint isn’t cheap and as much as you spill you need a pour spout.
I would paint the other side too. The new paint has different flake so in sunlight you can tell the diffrence. Color is close but flake totally different
Leave it stock it looks good the way it is and you guys need to bring back pop's truck with a manual.
I love it, now thats a sick daily... good taste so far. extra gas tank and locking bed tool crib drawers with extra leaf reinforcements so it doesnt sag in the rear. maybe a generator and air compressor bolted on. And some nice mounted kc lights and you have the perfect tow, work, play, rescue truck.... you guys needed a truck like this... you guys made some nice mall crawlers. But i like this truck. it's what a working man can buy. Thank you it reminds me of what i always wanted growing up. Thats fun for me to watch 😊
Finally.. you guys have done right by a lifted truck. Now, that Tremor won't look like a Mall crawler. Smaller wheels and big tires are the way to go.! They look right.

Uh.. What? Normally the builds are 27 episodes and they take months to finish. The Porsche and the Urus took forever. I'm still not sure the Porsche is even finished yet.
Something I was thinking would be cool, I know you have looked for land, but what would you think of finding an old dealership building, with its service garage on it, and going in to that with VTuned. Then you can have a showroom for your cars, areas to work, and then VTuned would have a bigger and nicer area to work, and you all could help each other at times and be closer. I think that would make for some interesting videos, if you can work together that much. Plus, then you can have your merchandise there, and even though probably do a majority of the builds at you current location, you could maybe find time for meet and greets and then have someone able to go thru and start your cars every day. Plus, if you can find one that had a parts dept, who doesnt, it would give you and VTuned room to put spare parts, or if you part out a salvage car.

Being a veteran in the British army of 14yrs, I've been suffering bad from PTSD. So I decided to binge rematch alot of your builds. This truck is great but if I may.... Ur dad's truck is by far my favourite build. Hope every1 has a class day. Respect and Honour 🙏
Maybe finish up a bunch of cars and put the at famous auction house and start fresh with ALL NEW BUILDS! Keep the Top 3 cars and purge the rest!?! Just a thought! Ps maybe a couple drift builds so you guys can go race!

At the price of paint these days, I was full cringe watching you spill all that paint lol. Maybe I am just a old cheap penny pincher. My 80yo father is so bad he will resharpen utility knife blades. i bought him a 1000 pack and HE STILL DOES IT. But we have been dirt poor in our lives at one point or another. People like us do tend to be tighter and careful about waste.
I freshen up my utility knife blade a few times, your Daddy ain’t mean, he’s smart.

Great spec to start with! Power stroke and Tremor. Don’t remove those steps. Non slip, protects rockers, and stick out enough to not get door dings. If you do engine? CCV delete and CP4 disaster kit.
The people that say “dOnT LiFt iT, iTS a WoRk TrUCk” probably don’t use their trucks to work anyway so why keep a truck stock that’s no fun😂😂

It’s because no one would buy it because of the shoddy way it’s rebuilt and revved cold in bits. But they are not car salesmen and it’s entertaining to watch. They don’t pretend to be experts and seem to be doing very well.
