I think what I love about this whole scenario is that we're just lead to assume that something's wrong in Strong Bad and The Cheat's friendship even though we've seen no actual evidence of this, the one flashback we see just raises more questions than it answers, and then we get the song, which is both really sweet and kind of overkill. Like just this one incident is enough for Strong Bad to get into this ballad about how he appreciates The Cheat. Plus, the wording of "I'm so glad that he's not dead" is weirdly specific enough to be funny.
@@Jaggedknife11the Brothers Chaps also mentioned somewhere that when they were making home movies as kids, cinnamon powder was their go-to five-o'clock-shadow treatment. So it's more of an ascended injoke that got a callback down the line.
I like it when Strong Bad shows respect to Strong Sad, like here when he was fascinated by the fact that Strong Sad had rhythm. He even seems to respect Double S's opinions and advice like when he warned SB about his accent fading. Heck even Strong Mad has shown he cares about Strong Sad, in the Sbemail where SS was high on caffiene and was upside down on the ceiling. It just goes to show that these bros do care about Strong Sad despite their constant bullying.
