I have this motor on my A6 and love the performance. Tuned makes it a really quick sedan despite the weight.

Funny that I ran across your channel tonight. I bought a '15 Sepang SQ5 Prestige earlier this month too. 25k on the car and came with APR stage 1 & 2 intake. So far I added H&R -3 springs with Bilstein B8's, EPL stage 2 with TCU tune... have the RS grill and summer wheels on order now. Just subscribed - I will be watching your build as I do mine now haha

I'll remain a subscriber just because you helped me with my S5 V8 meth injected Supercharged build. Since most of the B8 and B8.5 parts are interchangeable. I can't wait to see what builds the future holds with you.

I am so happy for you. By the way best choice of color. I am excited to see what you do with it. I have a S4 Sepang Blue with the Black and White interior or (piano black) with black wood and aluminum inserts wrapped on VMRs 710 gun metal. Also have a 2014 Q5 Prestige with the Big brakes OEM and 3.0T. This SUV's Performance can be underestimated. They are fast and do have the same platform as the Porsche Macan with less price tag. So happy for you and looking forward to your SQ5 project.
I would say once lowered this is the closest to a b8.5 s4 Avant we can get in the US. The perfect balance of practicality and speed.
I just got a 2019 sq5 prestige black optics package. 7th vehicle in 9 years and by far my favorite.

I found this channel by accident. I am currently driving an s4 and had thoughts of getting a 2016 SQ5. it’s such a difficult choice because Ive never owned an suv, but yet feel drawn to it. Anyways, happy your feeling the ride tho.
If you have adaptive suspension, check out the KW HAS kit. I loved it on my Q5 3.0. Super adjustable and I still fit 295’s all around.
Bad ass purchase! S5 with ground clearance!
The look of the RS grille will transform the front end. You're going to love it! Be aware, it is a pain to install. Search online for an install. It helped me a ton when I did mine!

I love my upgrade from my S4 to my Q5. Been my personal favorite vehicle so far in the 20+ cars I’ve owned.
Snippetmaster3000 3.0T is the only option for a Q5! 😁

love the sq5 just picked up a identical spec 16 s3 in sepang with black optics, even same wheels just 19s.
Excited to see what you do, the 3.0t is an incredible platform. I have a 15 Audi a6 prestige @394hp and a 15 sq5 premium plus stock. Easily tuned cars and still realible to 450hp

I love my sq5. We test drove a Porsche Macan and loved it but it was 2 years old and not certified. Enjoy the sq5!!

Just got a '16 SQ5 too... I get pretty bad brake squeek at super slow speeds/parking speeds. Do you get the same problem?

Excited to see what you can do with the SUV, which presents its own set of challenges. Also hoping Audi will see US enthusiasm for high performance utility vehicles and bring more of these models here (I.e., RS6 avant or SQ7) to compete against the likes of AMG E63 wagon etc. Maybe an S8 plus for the next build. 😜
What is the REAL power different Between the SQ5 AND THE Q5 2.0Tsi. ? There is a real change?
Hey Man, I had an S6 which was totaled. The car was an absolute animal! Stage 1 APR with TCU tune, now looking at an SQ5. The S6 was extremely expensive to maintain. I am hoping the SQ5 is a bit cheaper to maintain. Thanks for the video.

So first of all big shout out to you all the way from Bavaria Germany.. I am curently driving a sleeper Q5 which means it is a almost normal Q5 with tuned up engine to 315 horsepower and i am now thinking of installing a Garrett stage 2 which gives me around 410 horsepower.. hmm but living in Germany we have tons of rules and regulations no one needs and we´ll see if it can be done what i have in mind.. The Q5/SQ5 for me is the best car ive ever driven.. so have fun and keep tuning it..

On my first SQ5 I didn’t notice much going stage2 with the pully and AWE full to be honest. It felt good and sounded amazing! But not sure if it was worth what I spent

I purchased a white 2016 SQ5 with a stage one unitronic tune a couple months ago, and absolutely love it. I would just like to do something to make it a bit louder, but cant seem to find any information out there about sq5 exhausts/ deletes , so was curious if you were planning anything along these lines..
I’m in market for an suv that’s not a soccer mom suv , for example like yours but not as sporty.. I have the x50i in mind but only from the years 2012-13 is there any alternatives you can recommend? I’ve also been looking at more all wheel drive, rear wheel drive suvs no fwd 🚶🏻♂️ but yeah any recommendations?

Pop Jones could’ve had it towed home. When I got in a wreck and totaled my car (wasn’t my fault as well) I just told the tow truck to tow it to my house and leave it at my driveway. Took off what I wanted and insurance came and took it after

Finally someone who know cars got an SQ5, I have been searching for a long time. I have a 2017 SQ5 Daytona grey a very nice but the problem is the engine oil every couple months I have to add oil to it took it the dealer and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it and they said oh these supercharged engines always need oil every couple of months and he advised me to just keep adding it every time I see the message come up.
Switch to liqui moly (: ive driven 3,000 miles hard with no loss (:
I was going to go with apr because IE didn't have a tune for my 3.0t Q5 6 months ago until I saw that you going with IE and I checked their website again and they have it now!! 😎

Looking forward to this build. I just picked up a black 2014 SQ5 and so far it has been a great car. Would like to know where you sourced your RS grill. The striped grill and honeycomb insert mismatch just doesn’t look right.

Not with 295, also coilovers with 20s achieve the same effect. 295/40/20x10 in my setup

Hello. What kind of gas does this car require?
To all the SQ5 hater queefs.
1. Q5 is built off the A4 chassis, very nimble. Super on point steering and braking. Mileage into the 30's.
2. Room in the rear, plenty to be exact.
3. Ground clearance. Needs no explaining the benefit. Especially when modded with air suspension.
4. Same engine as the S4. Great motor. 400whp easy with bolt ons.
5. As an Audi Sales Specialist, I can tell you we sell over double the Q5 chassis, in comparison to any other Audi model.
Only downside is the 8 speed. They should've kept the DSG. Period.

0 - 60... I vote RS3 or AR Quadrifoglio
This is coming from someone who just traded a fully loaded 2012 S4 w/ 30k miles, for a 2016 Mercedes CLS 63S AMG 4MATIC w/ 7k miles. I will never consider an SQ5.
@@ryan1845 We also have an AF Quadrifoglio, did one acceleration pull and the CEL started flashing. No chance id own one. Love driving it but holy crap they are unreliable. Our Q5 clients are the most loyal we have.

I would've guessed an S5 sportback but damn an S6 would've been sick. I'm currently swapping my B8 S4 for a B8.5 S5. So I'll be sticking around. You actually put me on to FCP Euro so you have my loyalty based on that alone.
good choice dude, the b8.5 models are by far the best looking audis. and the supercharged 3.0 is so much more enjoyable and resposnsive than the new b9 turbocharged 3.0.

@Snippetmaster3000 lower center of gravity-- handles better, massage seats, and more comfortable. My SQ5 was a 2018 model btw.
Why are the Euro versions diesel?
The zf8 is fantastic on the highway. Not so much in the city with heavy traffic and low speeds. You’ll discover that with time
alvin rivera I have noticed this, seems off the line the SQ5 is “lacking” but once it is rolling the power is great.
boost8d it’s the 1-2 and 2-1 gear shifts that are bit funky. I have an A5
Quick notes the rs grill you ordered is likely not going to fit as all of the vendors who claim their grille will work on the SQ5 because the frame and I’ve soured the internet for the last year and it’s just not there.
-The ZF trans tune does not exist eithe.
-Lastly you cannot fit 295 tires on the front. 285’s is the max and even that’s pushing it. If you ever need any help or recommendations with the car itself or trying to obtain parts happy to help as I’ve spent literally 100’s of hours modding my own. I also have extra own parts if you could use some.

I just had a baby and I'm looking for a dad mobile that's still fun and makes decent power. Doing some research a few mods and these things make 450ish hp? That would be perfect for me and a total sleeper since people have no idea what an SQ5 is. Also, didn't realize you're from Mass! I am too, the roads fucking suck around here. Makes it impossible to drive my Vette. Earned a sub from me.

295/40/20 20x10, this is what most of us run with 3.0 tdi and 3.0t to achieve that clean flush big wheel look that sq5s are known for
The color is outstanding and I think you made the right choice. People that are upset over this don't need to go out and buy an SQ5 if they don't want to!
My wife have a the S-line 2013 Prestige and that SUV is a serious thing. Since both have basically the same engine, I'll be watching closely to copycat your mods 😎

If possible you should talk to IE about a TCU tune for the ZF, I'm sure I can speak for all the c7 a6/a7 and sq5/q5 guys would love to have a easy flash solution versus going with the hp tuners route. Cheers!

My wife and I had a 2015 SQ5 prestige glacier white with the 21" wheels and black leather. We traded it in and now we wish we had it back. The new SQ5s have the fake exhaust tips and that keeps us from getting one of those.

A B5 S4 project car? That's a whole new level of maintenance... this coming from a previous 2001 S4 owner. You should be required to own a lift if you own a B5 S4.
