Hello, I wanted to ask: what is your goal in taking a bachelor's degree in nanotechnology? What professions are you aiming for (like, a specific field you're hoping to work in, if exists)? Are you going to tackle additional educational degrees after your bachelor's in nanotechnology (if so, what are they)? I'm interested in nanoscience but generally everything is vague. I hope I didn't ask much. Thank you!
@@Zykroh Hi! When studying nanotech I didn’t necessarily have a “goal” in mind. I knew I wanted to try a great depth of fields (biotech, semiconductors, energy storage, materials) so that by the end of my degree I could know which I like best. I’m now working in the clean energy space and it’s really motivating seeing others who also strive for a more sustainable future. As of now, I’m not planning on higher degrees of education and instead gaining more work experience but we’ll see what life throws. Hope this helps!

@@leenayman6414It’s totally normal to go into university and not know what you want to do afterwards and figure it out along the way! I came into my program wanting to do research but realized I enjoy working in industry. There’s definitely opportunities to work in the biotech industry which is not research if that’s your concern.

I'm thinking of attaining a bachelor's in biology and a masrer's in nanomedicine, however, I'm not sure where would that lead to. What do you think? What do you recommend? Also, off-topic, but which year are you?
@@toxicdubz3841 I completely agree, specialized fields are only for those who know they want to go into tht field in my opinion, for example if you know you want to work on AI then it's okay to do a bachelor's in AI otherwise do CS then a masters in AI. (Edit) You could (in this example) also just go into AI without a masters but it'll be more difficult.
@@toxicdubz3841 I agree, I'm still trying to decide what degree to pursue, probably too early too br honest but I suppose that's not a bad thing. I find a passion for practically and subject so narrowing it down is difficult, the most important thing to me is the career not the degree because I can learn about things as a hobby anyways, especially with how easily information is accessible nowadays. I'm still researching what degree specifically and what university specifically I want however I think I'm leaning towards the business sides of things either finance, tax accounting or economics however I'm also interested in physics, philosophy, statistics and mechanical/electrical engineering, philosophy probably interests me the most closely followed by physics however it has no direct career path.

Can you even get a job with this degree. They seem rare.
Yes however you are correct it's definitely more difficult than other degrees because it's an emerging field, it's only been around since the 80's.
