I have received IT notices on my NRE deposits. We don't need to declare NRE deposits and interest on those as NRE deposits are tax free as per the IT law. It's shame that IT depart doesn't know this basic law....We are scaring to invest in India because of these incidents...
Good video. Useful for many. I think you would have to cover whoever already invested in India and later moved as an NRI. What will happen to existing investment if we try to follow the same
Tons of thanks. I have spent several times 1000rs online and whenever went to India third party many thousands. Never worked. Your insights into the details you gave made me to update my NRI status online especially citizenship and country of resident. I cant explain how much your video was helpful... tons of thanks again.
Very informative Sai garu, Thank you so much to make this video and bring us to people like me. not all NRIs have citizenship with the countries they are working and few may come to home country after few years. Including such NRIs should also make their PAN change to Non resident? If Yes, they should again change it to resident once moved to India? If yes, is it the same process to make changes?
Thank you for your information sir. Even though you know that for this NRI related video may get less viewership, but even then you took interest and made a video. Thank you again Sai gaaru - from Thailand
Good job Sai. Please do a video for US citizens and US Permanent Residents who want to invest in indian stock market. IRS valla PFIC gurinchi explain cheyyandi. We are USC and if we invest in Mutual Funds, ETS or ULIPs we will be taxed on unrealized gains which is ridiculous. The only exception is if we invest into stocks we pay cap gains on realized gains.

Thanks for educating us through your valuable content.. my suggestion/idea is like why can't upload NRI content weekly once instead of random.. like how you upload every Tuesday and Thursday with business case studies.. just my thoughts. I heard there is an option called QROPS but there is no detailed process on how to do this online. Thanks.

What about Indian Origin foreign citizens (OCIs) living in India? They became residents after 6 months stay in India. What rules and regulations apply to them? Many have ancestral properties and investments here. Please make a video on them. Your channel provides excellent content, keep it up!
I don't OCI becomes Indian citizen after 6 months stay. Yes, they may become eligible for Indian Citizen. So , OCI becomes citizen only after the successful completion of the application
@@Amarnath0880 There is a difference between being resident of India and being a citizen of India. After living in India for 6 months, an OCI holder becomes a resident; not a citizen. They can still retain their foreign citizenship and live in India as resident Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). I was asking rules and regulations for OCIs .
As a US NRI we don't have much options in mutual funds... We have only few fund houses to invest but I'm in parag parikh flexi cap from past 5 years and generated good wealth... Recently a good news is Quant mutual funds are accepting US NRI's and that's welcoming.... Stock investing is still a complex issue having PIS / Non-PIS account but thanks to Zerodha they were atleast helping in streamlining the process and guiding through out the account opening process.
