There is a couple reasons Zach knows so much about guns: He is a gun nut and was a US Army Small Arms Repairman, if I recall he also has a job at a gun store near him, or has mentioned it in one of his other videos. The other guy, Mike is a former Marine and the guy who runs the channel. Zach has his own youtube channel that goes by the name Zach Hazard and on Mike's channel they have a campfire story series where they sit around and tell stories and such, quite a few are stories are from when Zach was in the Army, but there are some civilian stories as well. I would honestly recommend those if you guys are interested in watching more of their stuff.

A thing worth mentioning about the Owen gun is it's design was literally copied from a homemade SMG that an Australian guy made in his shed before he was enlisted and after it was adopted, it performed really well in our armed forces. Because Australian troops were fighting in places like Papua New Guinea they had to contend with a lot of mud, but because the ejection port of the Owen was underneath the gun, and it's design was so simple, it was extremely easy to clear mud and debris from the gun and keep fighting. We ended up still using it well into the Vietnam war because of how reliable it was, despite our soldiers having access to it's successor the F1.
I love being able to import WW2 guns into Fallout New Vegas. The STEN gun was replaced by the Sterling L2A3 which also has a side-feeding magazine, which was much more reliable than STEN magazines, which were prone to misfeed and jam the gun. The Sterling was used as the basis of Stormtrooper blaster guns in Star Wars, just without the cool magazine sticking out of the side.
They actually did have the mag sticking out the side but it was much much a smaller mag, my guess is to make it look like a plasma cartridge or whatever it is lore-wise like you see on the Clone DC15 variants

That Accuracy International story, completely true and accurate, these dudes ended up making the best military sniper rifle on the planet, and not only are they still going but they're a huge operation and still make some of the best sniper rifles on the planet and still supply sniper rifles to the British military, and many other militaries including many spec forces. Somebody should make a movie about that or something.
I think modern rifles could be better but at the time it was hands down, without a doubt, the best sniper rifle you could have. In fact it took like 50 years to make a sniper rifle even compete against it for the crown of best sniper rifle.
Forgotten weapons had a good video on the story: ua-cam.com/video/Z-j3Isreqbg/v-deo.html Long story short they had to subcontract the manufacturing to another company that ordinarily made things like missiles. That company through a combination of ignorance and arrogance screwed up the production of the rifles so badly that they almost killed the project. What happened was the reason why Accuracy International built up its own production capabilities to the degree they have today.
Not quite a movie, but the book "The Green Meanie" by Steve Houghton might be up your alley, it contains a ton of first-hand recounts from the three main lads at Accuracy International, including the bits about Dave Walls' garage.
Ah, the beginning thing about the recoil, remember how my grandfather talked about it in the soviet times. Thing was every able bodied male had a mandatory service for some years. My grandpa served in the 60's when the Cuban missiles crisis happened, ( very partially, scratch that very completely american fault on that crisis) and he said in the AK marksmanship exams, they had 3 mags and had to hit the target 10 times with one mag each while shooting fully automatic or was it burst. Keep in mind those mags had 30 rounds. Edit: Also the Unica reminds me of Battlefield 1 auto revolver, you guys should maybe binge watch KriticalKris about gun reviews about bf1 guns. There is actually some interesting guns with some nice history. But I recommend someone first check it to see if it is really review worthy. Recommend you start with the revolver.

To be fair mikes right, the AN-94 looks crooked because it has a canted magazine for its unique feeding mechanism to work. So the magazines tilted to the side slightly out the gun instead of the usual straight up and down.
By the way that sten from iraq is "blursed" ("blessed"; but at the same time "cursed") Sure, it has suppressor, camouflage and laser sight (the blessed part); but why would you do that on a ww2-era gun (the cursed part)...???
Funnily enough, 94 is exactly double 47. AN-94 is about shooting two bullets pretty much on the same spot for one trigger pull. I have a feeling russians were planning on this pun.
Imagine some GI losing his Sten somewhere in France, and getting yelled at by his superior. Then 50 years later some Iraqi insurgent buying it, and duck taping a laser to it 😂

I like the broom handle and the Austro-Hungarian Repita pistola 1912. Becouse you can reload after firing 5 shots, open the chamber and just put them. If you had a magazine, well either drop a mag with few bullets or hope to God you ain't a lousy shot and the magazine holds enough bullets. You can top off with the C96 and Repita pistola. Also a good way to train consripts with those guns, the avarege soldier will know how to load a rifle, same as those two pistols.
