      Thank you so much!! I found the Etsy listing where I purchased them:
      www.etsy.com/listing/998128619/green-flame-glass-rhinestones-non-hot
      They are called Green Flame Glass Rhinestones from the Rocking Rhinestones shop, and I used sizes ss6, 8, 12, 16, and 20.

      I'm not sure!! What's a tapper? Maybe I do but I don't call it the right name? I tend to make up my own words sometimes 😂

    The tool is called a dotting tool usually used for Diamond Painting. I do Diamond Painting also and have many of the gems/diamonds left over from kits that I have done. I’ve thought about using the extra gems on a tumbler or coffee cup. If you look up diamond painting on UA-cam you’ll see another craft that’s very popular also.

      Thank you! I've heard of diamond painting, but I've never tried it. It sounds fun! And I bet the extras on a cup would look stunning!

    Awesome and informative!! I spray painted my stainless steel tumbler do I still need to sand?

    • @fourthandbirch9809
      @fourthandbirch9809  Рік тому +1

      Thank you!! So, I usually sand before I do anything else. So I wouldn't sand your spray paint layer. You can just start directly on top of that!!! Some people don't sand or prep at all, so you'll probably be just fine! ❤️❤️❤️

    So overall how long does it take you to do an entire tumbler? &&&...I'm watching this video bc I'm wanting to bedazzle my ps5 controller but I'm pretty nervous considering how expensive they are. Any tips for me? I wanna do & the scatter method so. Any advice would be awesome! Lol!

      Ahh! I'm a little envious that you have a PS5! Our PS4 died when the PS5s were basically non-existent in stores, so we finally just switched to PC gaming instead. 😭
      I would think you could definitely do your controller in a couple days. It really depends on how much time you have to dedicate. It took me about 3 weeks to finish this tumbler, but I was only putting in an hour or two every few days.
      For an odd-shaped canvas like your controller, you'll also want to do a section, then let it dry for a couple hours before starting a new section, so you don't keep accidentally bumping & moving stones around while you try to hold it and grip it in different ways when putting on more stones (if that makes sense).
      I'd also consider taking fine sand paper & roughing up the smooth areas on the controller first (I know that sounds scary for an expensive controller!!!), but the plastic can be very smooth & slippery, and you definitely want your gluebto adhere well. Then wipe it with an alcohol cloth to clean the sanding dust off.
      Good luck!!! Your project sounds so fun! ❤️

      @fourthandbirch9809 HAHA!! Well I wouldn't have a ps5 if it wasn't for my awesome mother-in-law getting it for me for Christmas!! I was very happy to say the least! & thank you for the tips, sanding it does seem a little scary BUT I trust you & I'll trust the process! Thank you so much for all the advice, I really appreciate it!!! I'm a perfectionist so yeah it'll probably take me foreverrrrr but yes I need all the luck I can get!

      @@amandajenkins-ez7zo I just Google searched "rhinestone controller" and there are a LOT of images & ones for sale. Browsing through them might help spark some ideas for you as far as placement, etc. They look pretty cool!

    Hi! thanks for this tutorial, it's very helpful. I have a question though. How can you estimate how many stones you would need for a project? Like how many packs per size should I order for a tumbler like this?

    • @fourthandbirch9809
      @fourthandbirch9809  Рік тому +1

      Ooooh, this is SO difficult to estimate. There are so many factors that play into this. However, I'll try to give you a super rough estimate. So, I just taped off a 1"x1" square on mine and counted what I used in that area. In that square inch, I used 13 of the 5mm, 11 of the 4mm, 21 of the 3mm,and 11 of the 2mm. So for a 20oz skinny like I used in this video (which has a height of about 8.2 and a circumference of 9.1) would have a square area of about 75 square inches in total. That would mean (if all my areas were similar in size dispersion), I would have used about 975 of the 5mm stones; 825 of the 4mm; 1,575 of the 3mm; and 825 of the 2mm. I hope this helps at least a little!!! ❤️❤️
