i was thinking how she should go on the olympics and she did! she is so good! And i'm happy for you because you recovered from the bone infection you are strong you look soo cool when your doing gymnastics!!!!!!
I think of all the sports in the world, the ones that have the most injured players/participants still participating are gymnastics and football. I had never honestly heard of Kristen before, but I feel a bit more humbled by hearing her story.
I'd have no idea all of injuries and hurts then this lovely girl had in her intire career. She IS a winner, a real fighter. Her FX routine in 2000 Sidney OG was amazing. Wip + Double layout and Full Twisting, Double Streigh is Triple F: fuckin freakin' fabulous!
Ik the pain it is to have stress fractures. I have chronic stress fractures in my shin bone from playing soccer for years and doing gymnastics and now I just cheer lead and it kills so I can only imagine what it would be like to do gymnastics for years with stress fractures.
iam sorry shes crazy(in a good way) she is like superwoman. not only was she recovering from an infection but learning a new vault table instead of the horse he competed on most her career she really is amazing
Bec Melin yours will heal as long as you follow the doctor's orders! She competed and never rested her stress fracture so it only stayed and got worse. Give it as much time as needed and listen to your body when there is pain.
Pain is subjective. I live in daily, severe chronic pain, but I still show compassion to those who often qualify their complaints of pain with "but I'm sure it's nothing compared with what you have to deal with". Pain is a very person experience. No one can tell someone how bad they hurt and we should never try to minimize their pain. What can be overwhelming painful for one person can be tolerable for the next. It's our job to accept their pain as is and show them compassion. It is wonderful this woman was able to overcome so many obstacles and still do what she loves to do.
She's a great gymnast and I'm sure she has always pushed herself to compete but I think it's irresponsible to allow gymnasts to compete with such severe injuries there should be a medical standard. The bacterial infection had the potential to become far worse she could have lost her leg or even died.
Super human is an understatement, That, my friends, is dedication to what you love to do.
Ouch! I really feel for her, man her pain quivers after her landing at 0:43! Brave brave person!
Wow! This is so great :)
And, the perfect song choice!
Kristen... I miss you so much... I'll. always love 💓💓🌟my Beautiful Champion !!!
Just goes to show that she was really dedicated and wasnt gonna let anything stop her from doing what she loved.
