Inter-school spelling competition organised by Dorians Society

- C Tekalong Lusang of Liz Woodland School came out top of a pool of 50 competitors to win the 1st Spelling Bee organised by the Dorians Society on June 25.
The inter-school spelling competition for class 7-9 was open to schools from Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima and was held at the DBIdl Building, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur. The competitors were from 20 private and 5 government schools. Each school had two competitors.
Dorians Society was first formed in 1997 under the initiative of young enthusiasts willing to see transformation take place within their society. The society primarily focused on sports programmes in their initial stages but has branched out their initiatives to other social activities as well.
