Flew the Baron up to Grand Rapids in September of '98 to attend a conference and spent a very pleasant Sunday afternoon wandering around the river waterfront of Grand Haven and having a relaxing lunch with friends and colleagues at a waterside place I now can't remember. Lovely city on Lake Michigan. And I never, never rushed the aircraft mechanics.
Grand Haven is a fun town!
Ok....I've binged watched all day on this rainy afternoon in West Central Arkansas. I too just found out about the Great Loop after being around boats my whole life here on the beautiful lakes in the Ouachitas. My wife and I are in discussions now about how to make this happen! Barrett...Is that a smile I see ? You've got a great wife & a good boat. LG😅. Do you have a water intake filter? A color coded hose with a filter between the dock & the boat. A pool test kit for your fresh water tank. 🦜
Funny you should ask! We just got our fresh water test kit today! We do have in line filters for dock water and freshwater fill. Upcoming episode we will show you our Acuva water sterilizer! Use UV light to kill bacteria in the water! It's really cool!

Hi guys I’ve just about binged my way through your channel and will definitely follow along your journey,we’re from Perth Western Australia about as far away from you on earth as can get and we unfortunately don’t have huge lakes like you,I’m wondering why you didn’t go lithium batteries to get full use out of your 800 amps and especially with a high amp alternator which would benefit lithium than AGM batteries for quick charging anyway it’s a beautiful boat and hope you have a trip of a lifetime cheers
Wow! Australia!? Definitely on my list of places to visit. I get asked this a lot. I chose AGM as a short term power source. I am hoping that by the time I need to replace them that Sodium Ion battery technology will be available to consumers. It's something I am really interested in. Not sure if you figured out the auto pilot problem yet but make sure you didn't place anything metal around your heading sensor (system's compass)
@@captainrosie6738 Thank you! We were able to re-calibrate it, it worked fine. Now it is acting up again. It will maintain tracking but it is 30deg to 40 deg offset depending on the heading. We have moved everything metal or electronic away from the head unit. I am down to 2 options...1 relocate the head unit(EV1) or try a new one...UGH! $$$....Thank you for this suggestion!
