We're just looking at tubs for a bathroom renovation, and one alternative was BainUltra. This video is REALLY helpful - thanks so much! It's very clear and thorough (though concise).
I have not got it installed yet. It will definitely need some access from below to connect everything. I can think of a way to get it all hooked up under the tub when in place with no access. You could probably do an island drain for the drain but the air hose would need to be coupled in the wall cavity at the very least. I’m hoping to install it this month and make a video on it
@@TheDurbinCompound Cool! Can’t wait to see it, we are about to buy one, and want to know what we’re in for! Also interested to know if you’re doing something to dampen the sound of the air turbine…
@kinnderpropertiesllc9054 that is also on the forefront of my mind. The turbine is load and had to be vented. So I’ll have to devise some sort of sound damper. It’s not like you’re going to be taking a bath unless it’s just the family home so the noise won’t be too much of a problem
As far as I know, it can be mounted in any orientation. Tips! Mount the motor as far as you can away from the tub. Putting it anywhere within 16 feet of the tub will cause the bubbles to be too strong. I mounted it fairly close and it overflows the tubs with the splashing from the bubbles on 10%
I was wondering if anyone has purchased a BainUltra tub? I was about to purchase one for a remodel but the reviews online seem less than stellar. I'm second guessing buying one of their 66" tubs but not sure what to purchase now. Thanks for any help.

Great Video, Devon! It’s your far Ohio neighbor again. Hope all has been well.
All is well my friend, hope you are doing well out there too!
Great Video! Did you get it installed?? Really want to see how you get the tub to drop in over both the air tube and the drain.

Thank you for the video! Is it ok to install the motor upside down?
Also any follow up or things you would have done different after install?

Hi, did you install the tub already? My contractor doesn't know how to install it, so any tips would be useful!
@nonyabizness8643 yes, I did.
Great video, thanks. Can you install the turbine below the tub in a crawl space, or does it need to be in a wall/cabinet in the bathroom?
It needs to have air flow to pull from. As long as it has that, you’re good.
Does this Bain Ultra Tub still use air holes on air channel? Not sir injectors?
Yes. Air holes.

I think their stuff is pretty good. What other brands are you considering?
How did you get power from the motor to the tub cord?
What is the Model of the Tub that you are installing?
Bain Ultra Vibe 5828
