The music is from the video game World of Warcraft, I used it in a few of my earlier videos to add a bit of atmosphere to the tutorials but then stopped putting any music in at all in all my latest ones. I agree with most others that played back through some speaker types it can be a bit overpowering and distracting.
Im sitting here frustrated at work trying to understand this Software called Inventor. After two minutes I find myself anxious with eyes closed listening to some dramatic Wow/Lotr music together with an overly positive guy talking greek.
Like because of the relaxing music in the background. Most youtubers use electronic and dance music for his tutorials but this one is peaceful and beautiful!
Well done. I'm going for a little test for a job and have not used Inventor for 9 years. Solid modeling was easy and still in my head but I was never taught the sheet metal portion in school. This defiantly will help me with my test.

Hello there, I have some questions regarding sheet metal design capabilities in Inventor. Please feel free to ask for further clarifications on any of the questions below if required. 1.0 Could you import / export CIS and IFC file formats in Inventor? 2.0 Is there a nesting tool with the software? 3.0 Is there weldments capability with the inventor (welded structure)? 4.0 Does it seamlessly produce BOM? 5.0 Is inventor capable of pulling information from a PDF file? 6.0 Is Inventor capable of generating parametric models (adaptive parts)?
Is there any way to lock in surface textures to these styles? I use embossed aluminum , diamond plate and other materials that would be fantastic to have preset.
what are your thoughts on using the sheet metal tool for folding composite metal panel? We do a lot of ACM work, and have some crazy panels that are difficult to capture. Also, we have a scanner and often times have point clouds. I just need a general idea on whether or not this is something I might consider investing time in or if, in your opinion, Inventor is just not the right tool?thank you! very glad I stumbled on to your series!
No worries. Your videos are good and i think because they are teaching me things, therefore they should have a classroom enviroment effect. The first time I learn anything, I fully focus on the material I am absorbing. I can only focus on one thing at a time. In this case I can only focus on the tutorial. I also bla bla bla........ Greetings from The Midlands. Why is there a "Click to add" option when creating flanges? I thought it would allow you to create different height flanges in one operation (like the fillet tool) with auto mitre. It doesn't do that. What is a good way to achieve compound mitres, say for 2 or more flanges of different heights? Great channel with great content by the way.
Love your videos. Do you have any videos showing to to work with tubular frames using the frame generator? I'm trying to wrap sheet metal around tubing for body work on tube chassis, but I have no idea how to do it.
+Captain Obviously don't have anything for that specific example, but I've done a frame generator tutorial and a bend part video. Not sure if bend part works with sheet metal though, I'd say not. Is this just to bend a sheet around an existing tube say 90 degrees?
+Hans Brommer erm not really, only how youtube presents them. I've split them into playlists which you can use to see what's there but that's the best we have right now.

I've a problem with a sheet metal the thing is that i can't unfold a sheet metal, cuz the program doesn't detect a "stationary reference", i think that this happends cuz none of the sheets edges is straight ( one of them has an ondulated pattern and the other is curved ). is there anything i can do about it ? thanks for your time seeya

Hi, firstly thanks for your awesome videos, no inventor videos I found so far are more instructive yet so much fun. I have a question regarding sheet metal design (that's why it is here not on the latest video): Is there a way to cut through a flanged or lofted flange sheet metal part at an angle or with a profile, without having after "Create the flat Pattern" a non straight (i.e. not 90° to the surface) cut at the edges of the sheet? The other way around - first perfectly normal edges and afterwards this bend distortions- would be more desired if possible :) Thanks in advance!
Sheet metal is your virtual sheet to make the folding situation before you start making the metal sheet in the fabrication company, it is the best way to visualise what it will look like!

we never used this in my engineering class. unfortunately, im going to be taking anatomy and physiology (that is a HARD word to spell) in my senior year instead of engineering, or i would probably be able to learn how to use it. i love autodesk just as much as i LOVED sketchup my freshman year (remember that, y'all..?) and would love to download that again. next on my list is Blender

It sounded familiar and wouldn't let me focus because of that. It was like a fly buzzing around the room, occassionaly flying between the screen and myself. Then I recognized it. "Ohhhh, well played sir!". Rewinded 1 minute and it didn't bother me anymore. In fact, I enjoyed the video. But for anyone not familiar with it, it might sound distracting. The difference in volume between quiet and loud tones is too high.
Hi again, Can you please do a tutorial on a pressed sheet metal part, a pressed four sided tray with edge relief would be great. Also show how to make a DXF file from flat pattern part, can you also include bend lines in the DXF file please!! I would like to be able to send the file to a CNC machine so it marks the bend lines and cuts the profile out then for an operator to bend the part on a Brakepress using the bend line on the profile. I am sure people in steel fabrication would love this tutorial. Your videos are great if not a bit complex for me at the moment, as i am new to inventor but have been using autocad for a long time. Thanks again.
BAW Hey thanks! Seems like a logical next step to do that kind of video, this will definitely go on the to-do list! Another idea you've just gave me is a tip video for people moving from AutoCAD to Inventor, I've taught a load of people who have done that and I think I can remember what they were struggling with so that's another plan. So yes, that DXF video with bend lines will be a definite future video!

Good job but you can cut sheet metal across the bend with the inbuilt feature into the cut command without unfolding the sheet

Transitioning from SolidWorks to Inventor not entirely by choice :). That said, I like the music. Keep it, maybe vary it a bit
