Thank you so much, man. I have been watching a lot of your videos. I am 100% new to motorcycles and it is helping so much because I have the exact same bike so I really appreciate all these videos.
Yes, it does. After coating and before it dried, I blew compressed air into the outlet of the valve in both on and reserve positions. Thanks for watching!
@@TomAsay64 I got my 75 goldwing from a scrapyard and the license plate says it's been there since 91 lol my screens just disintegrated when I used a wire brush inside the tank to get the rust out that nasty old fuel that was still in it came out smelling like varnish and it was black. So much rust and debris that the reserve line is almost clogged. Vinegar was the least abrasive but most effecting thing I could find that could cut that much rust inside a gas tank.
Hey, do you have any interest in a 76 gl1000 limited edition. It sat for too long and the gas tank rusted. I saw your video and thought you might be interested.

This whole GL1100 series you've got going has been a lifesaver. Very well done and easy to follow, thanks for putting these up!
Glad you like them!
Keep these videos coming, I’m actually rebuilding a 1983 gl 1100 standard as we speak it’s been sitting for close to 20 yrs
I will! I hope yours is coming along nicely!
Learning something new with every video. Excellent series.
Glad you like them!
Just acquired a 1975 Honda goldwing been at a scrapyard since 1991 via license plate.
Sounds like fun! A new project!
Tom do you know if you can replace the lines inside the tank.
Hello, didn't the coating block your two filters? I like to do the same, but not sure about the filters. Thanks!
My reserve fuel line is clogged. I haven't been able to use it. It is not rust but fuel sludge.
Will the reserve function still work after you coated the tank?
Yes, it does. After coating and before it dried, I blew compressed air into the outlet of the valve in both on and reserve positions.
Thanks for watching!
What about the concern of the pickup screens clogging ?
I turned the tank upside down and then blew air backwords through the lines and let it dry that way.
Thanks for watching!

@@alexswords9747 Wow! That must have been fun!
Must be a lots of work to clean a tank on a goldwing.

I’m sorry, I have too many projects going on, plus the wife is not ready for me to have another project right now 😔
What is the red coating you put inside the gas tank.
I used Evapo-Rust and BBs to remove the rust.
The red stuff is Red-Kote Fuel Tank Liner.
