I hear you man. I had phantom menace syndrome after playing this game. I tricked myself into liking it but as time went on and I played through it again I just slowly started to accept that is was a poor follow up to Halo 4 and just the lowest point in the series
I bought it several months ago for the Multiplayer, its solid but yes its campaign isn't very good.

343 made a lot of mistakes but this rendition of Halo’s theme is certainly not one of them.
You'll find most 343i era Halo music videos are usually positive. Especially for Halo 4.

I don't think they give names to specific motifs, but fans usually name it after the first song it was played in... which means that most of the songs you listed are just "Halo theme" remixes.

Coming back a decade later, I feel like Halo 5 was almost exactly what this piece symbolized right here. Pays tribute to the original but adds something new and different. Some loved it, some hated it. Me personally I thought Halo 5 was an overall great game and I'm a bigger Halo fan than 99% of the bandwagoners calling the story lame.

I'll say it: 117 from Halo 4's OST and this from Halo 5's are worthy of being up there with the other masterpieces in Halo's collection. Perfectly encapsulates the evolution in warfare and Chief's status among his peers as established in H4 and 5.

Lol it makes driving so much more epic in Forza. Especially because I didn't realize it was Halo until it picked up in the middle and by then I was on my final lap in a race and it was getting really intense.

No disrespect to Neil Davidge, but Kazuma should have been the composer from the beginning of the new Reclaimer series. This guy nails it. Perfect successor to Marty O'Donnell.
R JAY MOLINA Yeah, Davidge wasn't bad, it's just that it wasn't the same feel/type of score. Davidge's score had a lot more of a modern feel.
I actually liked his rendition on "Forerunner Themes" because it sounded strange, weird, and new. His composition on the Human and Covenant was missing the classical motifs for me however.

The story is quite complex by the looks of it and it hints to a really crazy sequel, go watch some hiddenxperia videos and you can see his theories about what's coming in the story, pretty crazy theories that make a lot of sense
I get what you're saying, but imo the Halo 5 story sucks butt. I believe it would have been amazing if they made it how they originally were going to, but then Microsoft forced them to rewrite it because of the reception of Halo 4.
Gustavo Tiavo I just want to ask because I'm curious and also new to Halo in general, but where was it said that Microsoft interfered? Is there like a link to a video or article of some kind? I'm not trying to argue with you, I just want to know because Halo 5 seems to get a lot of hate and I don't want this franchise to end. From the games I've played (Halo 3 and 5) it looks really interesting and fun to explore.

Well it was just that part of the game. Up until that point I felt like "eh, they seem to be trying to make me feel like i'm playing Halo still ... I'm not but, hey...." But then I heard this piece as I was like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT IM PLAYING FUCKING HALO FUCKING FIVE HOLY SHIT!!!! OMG FUCK!!!!" So yeah Kazuma Jinnouchi is awesome and made the game for me.
It felt absolutely epic I put on turtle beeches and max volume for that part thought I was in heaven

So the story goes that Osiris, a guardian from the future has replaced Locke in Fireteam, coincidentally, Osiris and have completed many missions but after Buck dies, he becomes anti-social and goes back to the future where he starts an event called Trials of Osiris where he wants others to feel the pain of losing something so close to them

Can't tell if that's sarcasm or not, but the fight was easily one of the worst parts of the stories.
Two super soldiers in armour that enhances their abilities even further, their training is the best humanity has to offer, can easily dispatch and kill enemies way stronger than they are in Hand-to-Hand combat - yet their fight was the equivalent of a toddler with no martial arts training fought at the speed of an oldman with a walker.
It was horrid.
When this started playing the game suddenly got serious. I was suddenly hitting my targets more often and actually cared to revive team mates.

Halo 5 had the worst campaign but one of the best multiplayers for me
I've been seeing that annoying bile for the last 13 years since Halo 2 came out, with loads of people having enormous meltdowns and lengthy "THIS GAME SUCKS" videos posted on youtube and next to everyone in the comments screaming how much they thought the current developer sucks donkey ass.
Lets recap, shall we?
Halo 2. "Everyone" hated the Arbiter and despised that they weren't playing as the Master Chief and the overpowered pistol was nerfed. Cliffhanger ending and people trashed on the campaign lord knows how many times. Nowadays? Thought to be pretty good and Arby's loved everywhere.
Halo 3: Thought to be an improved, but weak campaign for the 'game to end all games.' People demanded a Halo 4 because of Master Chief's uncertain fate.
Halo 3: ODST came out and people threw a MASSIVE fit over its story and pricing.
I'll stop here; the rest are quite new and fresh to remember the crap people said. Watch this game, as all the flak it got, become a fan-favorite within a couple of years. This cycle will never end.
I love how Jinnouchi manages to make the violins appear as a chorus of singers. He makes them chant and along with the undertones of the drums it makes a special reflection in the music.

For example in Halo 2 or 3 if you fell off the map in multiplayer it would say "INSERT NAME HERE has been killed by the Guardians" or if you went out of bounds in Halo reach for example and either the soft-kill/Hard-kill zone marker kills you it would say it as well.

As far as I remember, I've listened to O'Donnell's work for 10000 times. But I am very impressed about Kazuma. He did a perfect job to combine old and new halo music (and he probably even made the songs more exciting). I am a Halo fan since the first one came out and even a greater fan of the music. I am not dissappointed at all.

Both of them could actually work on Halo again at this point. Marty is a free agent and Joe actually works at Microsoft. Only issue is that Marty has been working on Golem for 100 years and Joe has been working on Crackdown for 100 years. Luckily, Halo Infinite still seems like it's a ways off so maybe there's hope.

A really, really quality tune. This reminds me of the excitement for halo 5 that I felt during the beta and the months prior to release, it's a shame I was let down by the campaign among other things, but that doesn't diminish the great music that the game featured.
According to 343 the halo 6 story will be more focused on the characters and how they develop
The narrative was the only poor part about the game. Halo 5 does so many things right that it really brings back Halo. 343 are totally amazing at post-launch content and support, and the multiplayer is probably Halo's strongest since 3.

This made me happy because they brought back classic themes for this ALONG WITH 117, which was honestly the best song from Halo 4.
I can already see it now. Armies of Prometheans, banished, and a growing infestation of flood. Atriox battling with Warden Eternal. Master Chief and Blue team, Jerome and Red team, Locke with Osiris, and Arbiter with his squad of Elites. All of them fighting on Installation 04C with Cortana watching from her guardian and 343 arriving with his captured ship to reclaim HIS installation.
This wouldn't be out of place in Infinite. Pls 343.

Halo` score for 4 and 5 are so unique and powerful that they are just as perfect and spineinducing and tingling and sad and epic and happy and awesome and rememorable as Halo 1-Reach'

My favourite part of Halo 5 was seeing Olympia Vale and Locke have sex, and this theme was playing. Nothing competes with that scene, best scene of all time.

Halo 5 was basically a prologue for halo Infinite, Halo infinite is being written by the guy who did the first two Arkham games, the environment is being done by the guy who did it for uncharted and ex naughty dog and the environment is being done by the guys who worked on tomb raider and horizon zero dawn oh and the art style is back to the original so I think we’re gonna be okay
