Imagine living through the 8 bit , 16 bit, 32 bit and 64 bit era then getting an Xbox in your 20’s. The first game you put in the tray says HALO. You have no idea what you’re in for. That was me. As this music plays, I’m driving a warthog through a battlefield on a beach with explosions bouncing around me. This is the music blaring out of the sound system in the dash. As I run over giant space gorillas. Thank you Marty and Steve. And thank you Mr A.
I get what you're saying because Halo was THE GAME back in the day and I miss tf out of those days, but all I can think about is how the giant space gorillas didn't enter the Halo story until the second game lol
You ever just listen to a piece of music, and it just hits you right in the soul. It punches you right in the feels where you didn't know you needed it? This piece did this for me. For 5 minutes I was warped back to my late teens, when life was easy and times were happier. Thank you.
Decided to randomly listen to the OG halo theme yesterday, got recommended your original mix of all the main themes. Go to relisten to your mix today, find out a new version made just an hour ago. Feels like a sign.
I'm about to graduate with my Audio Recording Technology degree, all I can think is, "I want to see what your Protools/Ableton, Logic etc., file looks like for this project." I'm sure it's incredible, and I can only imagine the hundreds of hours you put into this. Amazing job!
Bro I'm flattered but the only software I used to make this was Audacity. I didn't remake the tracks, I just overlayed them, synced them and tweaked volumes to remove everything that didn't sound good in the mix. It did take a long time, because I didnt know what I was doing and it was all trial and error, but this sure didnt take any expertise.
@@mr.a8335 far too humble- don't discount the expertise it takes to operate these softwares, and don't discount the effort and love you put into this project!
@@mr.a8335 Hear me out... everyone (even Marty) always forgot and continues to forget the after portion from the Halo CE's "Halo" with the piano and the Lady's soft vocals... They go from about the 3 :17 - 4 :19 marks of the original "Halo" track on CE's OST. I'd almost give a finger to hear that incorporated into the ending of this version.
Here we have a classic case of one guy thinking it's super complex and technical, and the guy who did it being like "nah lmao I kinda just kept pushing buttons and it kept working"😂
I can remember visiting my dad and he'd just got the new xbox console. He asked me if I wanted to try this new halo game, I was already interested in games at this point as my first consoles were a ps1 and a gameboy pocket. So I sat down with my dad and we played this game all the way through. I'll never forget that experience.
This is absolutely incredible. I was born the year Halo 2 came out and grew up playing the original trilogy on my (the very first) xbox one and my xbox 360. Figuring out how to be an adult now and i feel just amazing listening to this and transporting myself back to the days of LAN partying with literally my entire family which always had over 20+ people playing multiplayer till midnight🤣 Never stop making these man, as someone still quite young, i know that im gonna come back to this over the years and think "damn i was born at the perfect time"😁

These are great! 22 years later and Halo music still hits hard. There aren't many songs nowadays that make me want to close my eyes and truly listen, but I've done so several times on this vid already. This 'mix', for lack of better word, is truly fantastic. The electric guitar going hard and subtly fading for the strings to take the spotlight, followed by a brief but important spotlight on vocals and then letting the piano shine through.. *chefs kiss* The only thing I can think that's missing is the Gregorian chant(s), but they were played before the main theme started and would likely not blend as well as the main themes. I respect your decision to not include the chanting. I'd like to add that I think the mark of a true musician, and really any master-craftsman, is that they will always think about the stuff they could have done better. But as they say, perfect is the enemy of good. I'm glad you haven't let the fallacy of perfection stop you from releasing these. I appreciate you. Keep up the great work!
Halo 4's 117 from 6:10 onwards is based on Halo 3's One final Effort. You could try adding that if you ever do V3, along with Halo 5's Trials and Infinite's Halo theme.
@@Cosine_WaveI actually don’t think the first halo wars soundtrack has anything based on the main halo theme. Not sure about the second one since I don’t own it’s OST, but I’m pretty sure about the first one. It’s soundtrack is mostly “background” music used in gameplay with only a couple of songs like what we got in the main games. And even those songs follow the tune of that games theme song “Spirit of Fire”. There might be a couple stingers of the main halo tune that I’m missing but I don’t think so :)
I can imagine sitting in the passenger seat next to John 117 and he looks over and says “Hey, wanna listen to some tunes?”, puts this banger on, and then proceeds to do the warthog run
This is the kind of thing that reall shows just how much love was put into these games. I really miss these days. Great graphics are useless without a great story.
Seriously it is just disappointing that people like Mr. A is not working on the show. We need people that are more passionate. Be it video games, movies or TV shows.
This is absolutely beautiful! It combines all of the sounds of our childhood all into one badass remix. Today’s generations will never understand what it was like to grow up with Halo. This is exactly the kind of stuff I do on my channel. I’ve got a ton of un-uploaded videos right now. I focus on using every stem, every version, every piece of a song. It’s why I started mixing music. This is legendary and I’m happy to see someone else with the same ideas. This sounds like something I would make except for once I don’t need to put in the hours. Amazing work. keep going
I never thought I’d see the day that a Halo theme collab like this was possible. Absolutely love every second of it. Amazing job with this video, Mr. A! 🤘🏻😁🤘🏻

Also nice.
Btw, there’s one little moment that shouldn’t be synced. Can anyone find it?
This is the closest I've been to you making a post! I've seen you all over remakes and reaction channels!
