“'Humanity is not measured on form alone, but by deeds, my lord,' said Ventris. 'A mortal man may be inhuman towards other men, yet I have seen xenos behave with honour and fairness when we offer them nothing but hate.” - Uriel is an interesting character. He doesn’t blindly hate Xenos like many other Astartes. But is instead a pragmatist that would the refine the Imperium, where he able too, much like his Primarch, Guilliman.
Refinement holds no sway in the imperium .....humanities survival demands no time for fanciful ideas ...Uriel Ventris is that cut above so that he can work and be empathic to other ideas .... Most save marines could not muster their strength whilst doing both
"What deeds can you show that prove to us that you are worthy of rejoining our holy and venerable chapter?" asked Sicarius, cold and judging as ever. "my Remembrancer Video is longer than yours" said Ventris.
His first mission as Captain was to lead the 4th company against the Drukhari and if thats not bad enough face off against a 'Shard of the Nightbringer'.... that's what's called thrown in the deep end, but to quote "It's all the deep end".
@strandalx I know I'm a month late, but they're referring to Remus Ventanus - Captain of the 4th Company during the Heresy. Very famously known as the Saviour of Calth for his actions during the Battle of Calth against the Word Bearers.
I mean, he’s become legendary enough that most people think of him when they hear the name “Ventris” so I think he’s more than lived up to his great great great grandpappy 🙂
I'll always have a soft spot for Uriel and Ragnar.Uriel and later on Ragnar were my intro to the 40k lore. I'd often ride past a huge GW store which even had senior mgmt staff there. So one day decided to pop in after a long day of riding and asked the guy what novels he'd recommend. This is back in the early 2000s when big GW stores still carried novels. I'd have never gotten into the lore and 40K if the guy hadn't recommended novels to me. On a side note, dudes dad was the producer for the show 24. He didn't need cash just really enjoyed working at GW.😅
I knew Uriel was the man, and now it's confirmed. Really good job, sir, the summation of his background and deeds were perfectly done. Thanks for the wild ride.
I absolutely love Uriel Venteris ( maybe misspelled but whatever). I got into W40K because of the Daemonculaba and how supposedly horrific it was. Let me just say that to this day after years of being a fan of the W40K universe I am still in love with the Ultramarines and Uriel in specific.
Before I read Ventris books I always saw the Ultramarines as by the most annoying space marines chapter considering Matt Ward depicted them as invincible and the perfect image of what it means to be a Space Marine, and in particular the book “Damnos” with Cato made it so unbearable with how inconsiderate with the Guard who were almost killed to the last man twice, but once I read his first book it made me give the Ultramarines a second chance and ever since then I was never disappointed by the Blueberries and especially with the return of Guilliman and the Dark Imperium storyline.
@Remembrancer Love your channel. You have a video about the bolter, i thought you only did characters. It would be cool if you had some over the Mark X (10) armor and its variations
One Thing I like to see in Marines is showing humanity even to the xenos instead of showing nothing but blind hate and I hope something like this will be shown spreading to the wider Imperium
The era of “Ultra-Cheese” is over. Dudes like Ventris just have that dog in em’. I’m a Death Guard guy but between Caleb and some other stuff I’ve been reading, the 13th are really starting to grow on me! 😁 #ULTRAMARch 💪🏿
If you like Thiel but not Cato, you should do some more digging in Cato's background. They are more alike than you might think. For I, Cato Sicarius, is the most misunderstood Ultramarine to ever exist.

I'd love to see that Tau have that conversation with Gabriel Seth or Helbrecht. The pic footage would have to be censored even by Astarties standards.
Ventris must've been a student of Titus as well. Because just like him he's got MASSIVE adamantium b*lls!

What book does it say it in?
@@Mataya5 a bit late but it's either dark imperium or godblight, when the deathguard is attacking ultramar

Uriel being able to meet Guilliman was such an amazing moment as a fan.

How? He was his grand pappy
Uriel Ventris I think is the coolest name after jago sevatarion in warhammer 40k.
Thank you very much for the video Brother.
I think Rylanor takes the "coolest name" award personality. I don't know what an "Ancient of Rights" is, but it sounds cool.
Asterion Moloc holds that title.
Ra Endymion
Nykona Sharrowkyn
I feel myself oozing with Ultraenergy with this one 🔵🔵🔵💙🔵💙🔵
We march for Macragge!
And we shall know no fear
Orks! PURGE THE BEASTS!

Uriel is a gigachad. Literally made me like UM and get more into their lore.
Uriel needs a back brace, considering how much he’s carrying his chapter.
@@TheAKgunner uriel: Chapter Master Calgary, my back hurts
Calgar: from what
Uriel: carrying this fucking chapter
Uriel is why I collect Ultramarines.
They are the best of Smurfs.
reimus and uriel are the reason i love the ultramarines
Uriel's voice actor rocked. I hope one day you'll bless us with an elucidation with dialogues each from one of your fellow Remembrancers.
Courage and honour, Emperor and Primarch, Astartes!

Guilliman will make Ventris chapter master if Marneus dies
For Macragge !!
I am pretty new to 40k but is this the only confirmed space marine descendent? I always thought space marines were sterile.
They are but they still have families who carry on the line.
Uriel might be the only primaris marine to still wield a base boltgun, for thst alone he is based
did i hear that right? leandras tried to git rid of Uriel too?
And sometimes for McDonald's!
