Ah yes, my introduction to Hatsune Miku. Back then, I had no idea who she was or that Vocaloid was even a thing, I was just a budding weeb who saw a cute anime girl singing and was instantly won over. Simpler times...

err...yeah, i was aware of that. that's why i nicknamed hatsune miku to miku-tan because of her cuteness (not just the mascot the voice is very appealing when used correctly) for a synthetic voice, it's really amazing how real it can sound. for recording artists, that's like having a clone do your work for you and for regular people, that's like having your own personal idol to sing your songs! Now if that's not 'nifty' then what is?

Hatsune Miko, the main voice and mascot for the Vocaloid Software, was designed to recognize and speak/sing Japanese, there for, any non Japanese lyrics done by her are actually "Written" and pronounced using the Japanese writing system, hence the inherent accent.
P.S. The "Tan" in "Miku-Tan" is a suffix applied to, typically, a girl's name to imply cuteness.

There are english vocaloids you know. The most recent (Sonika) is based off the japanese vocaloids and can sing ANY LANGUAGE YOU WANT. Look her up.
