    Thank you so much for putting this tutorial together. I recently purchased an original Donkey Kong cabinet and this is the best information I've found on monitor adjustment. Thank You!!

      HI, thanks for enjoying the video.
      i would like to do more, but not having a camera man to help makes it hard for some i want to do.
      i would like to do more chassis removal videos to help folks get them out of the game and off the frame and other color and wight balance videos for other chassis types.

    My Sharp XM-2001N is only showing 90VDC on the B+, no matter where I set the B+ pot (I've set the CRT brightness at maximum) - do you have any recommendations for troubleshooting? Thanks!

    • @buffett1978
      @buffett1978  3 роки тому

      Hi, have you done a complete cap kit?
      this needs to be done first.
      did you adjust the B+ pot with a metal tool?
      if you did and touched a ground on the chassis somewhere with the conductive
      adjustment tool wile adjusting the B+, it can pop some parts in your VR circuit.

    Hi Buffett! So I did a cap kit w/ B+ filter cap on a Sanyo monitor in my PC10. Fired it up to check the B+ voltage. It was coming in low, around 94v. As I started turning it up at the B+ adjustment pot, and it jumped up pretty quickly... then the screen went blank. I turned it off and back on and the screen was back ON, but B+ is now 0.00 volts and when I attempt to turn it up, it starts to climb, but then goes back to 0.00v Any thoughts?

    @arcadebuffet, have you ever worked on the 13” Sanyo chassis from this era?

    • @buffett1978
      @buffett1978  2 роки тому

      HI, yes i have, there are 2, different versions witch one are you referring too.
      one you can replace the flyback and the other you cannot since it is not available.

    Do you know if they selll replacement width coils for this chassis?

    • @buffett1978
      @buffett1978  5 років тому +1

      there are no new repo coils for this chassis, you have to find a used coil off a doner chassis.
      sometimes i have used coils and sometimes i do not.

    So, does the same pot for Horizontal hold adjust the h-size as well?

    • @buffett1978
      @buffett1978  8 років тому

      Hi,
      no all it will do is move the position of the image left or right and or bring the image into sync if it is skewed out of sync.
      in order to adjust the width you have to adjust the H-Width coil or change the width cap.
